      • That may not stop them from denying your claim.

I purchased one other random item in each purchase to make each receipt more unique, wish me luck.

    • Did the same. I redeemed $10 off for each purchase, too. Each purchase is just over $10. Try to cash(giftcard) in EDR via this promo.

  • I got 4 out of my 5 gift cards today and did receive rejection for one so looks like it is working out ok just gotta sort out the initial rejection.

Added fine to the Woolies app

    • Same here. I received a rejection email yesterday. Then today I received emails for eGift Cards for 4 out of 5 my submissions.

  • +2

Is anyone still waiting on gift cards that submitted on the 9/02 that hasn’t received a rejection email?

    • +1

Received all my 5 this morning and applied 9/2

    • haven't received anything so far

      • +2

I think that is a good sign. Hopefully they are going through claims more diligently and taking time to ensure receipts are not duplicates.

        • I still haven't received anything

      • Since they don't email confirmations, hopefully it's a case of "no news is good news".

        • I still haven't received anything

    • +1

Received my 5 all confirmed this morning.

Waiting for my husband's 5 confirmations - I entered his about 8 hrs after mine though.

    • YES! Haven't heard anything and I made a total of $75.

    On the Facebook page Lindt are posting this response to each complainant;

"We understand that some people have had their entries rejected. We have had an overwhelming response to the promotion and will ensure that all valid entries receive a prize.
While we understand you may have separate receipts, please ensure that your entry also fully complies with the promotional Terms and Conditions (https://www.lindtshopperrewards.com.au/terms)
If you believe your claim has been invalidated in error, please contact us at [email protected] and we will review your entry.
    Thanks, The Lindt team."

I wonder whether anyone has successfully had a rejection overturned

      • I bought two and wasn’t rejected.

        • So do you receive an acceptance email or not receiving any rejection email within 24 hours can assume acceptance?

          • +1

@htc: I wouldn't assume that. All my entries were made more than 24 hrs ago and I have received no response at all so am assuming nothing.

    • +4

Sounds like weasel words, trying to imply that there's additional terms and conditions that are causing claims to be denied.

  • Entries into the promotion open on 01/02/2022 and close 11:59pm AEDST on 28/02/2022 or once ninety thousand (90,000) entries have been received, whichever is first (“Promotional Period”).

    • ninety thousand entries received including hundreds of rejections or even thousands, I assumed these will not replenish the pool or will these be given to "others". Hope the lindt website will warn others that 90 000 has reached.

    • +1

Agreed. Hopefully Lindt's competition page will take down the "ENTER" button and have a warning to say comp is over when they've reached the 90,000 entries.

Would not want to buy the chocolate and be able to submit entries, but find out say the day after that entries are closed.

I am surprised no one has negged this deal despite recent development, people usually negged shopback deals or other shops if there are issues.

    • +2

Most negs appear in the next deal.

      • +1

I see, revenge works best on the next one, lest we forget!

        • The price is $6 this week. Someone can purposefully post a new deal to incur negs.

          • @Neoika: $5 at coles.

            • +1

              @htc: Not eligible for reward.

    • -4

Why would anyone neg this deal? This is the coolest deal so far for 2022, even though my 5 purchases were all $5 its free Lindt.

      • +4

it’s only free if they don’t reject your claims, and most here had their claims rejected

  • +1

Did it on the 9th, still haven't received rejection or acceptance.

    • Me either!

  • +3

I just noticed that all of the ones I bought had very short expiry date (only 2 weeks).

    • +1

I noticed the same at my store, all the milk chocolate ones were Feb 28th. Took dark ones instead, they were a little longer, till May. I guess the promo is a way for them to quickly move old stock before it has to be thrown out.

  • +2

Submitted on the 10th (2 days ago). Received no emails yet.

    • Me too. But I am assuming they dint work on the weekends?

    • Same here still nothing for 10th, even though I has on screen $5 showing

      • Nothing yet for me today still.

    • i too did mine on the 10th.. still yet to have received anything from them now… has anyone received anything from 10th submissions?

      • Still nothing yet for me.

        • Same

      • not yet….

  • +3

Just sharing my experience for anyone who cares.

Purchased in late afternoon on Wednesday 9th. Each chocolate on a separate receipt.
Completed 5 entries for myself and 5 for my partner that night.

Late afternoon on Thursday 10th received 2 emails rejecting 2 of my entries. My partner received 4 rejections.

Early morning Friday 11 received 3 emails with my gift cards. My partner received 2 but both emails were for the one gift card which makes sense since she had 4 rejections.

I used my 3 gift cards this morning and will be returning 2 chocolates tomorrow

    • +2

I don't think that you can refund the chocolates to Woolies anymore! This is their updated refund policy:

      If you’ve changed your mind

      Refunds

From 1 September 2020 until further notice, we will not provide a refund where you have changed your mind about products purchased from Woolworths.

If you have purchased additional items, we encourage you to share with those in need, in particular the elderly and most vulnerable.

      • +2

Ok thanks for the heads up. It's doesn't really matter though, even an exchange/credit is fine. It's more about the fact that Lindt rejected my entries even though it was within their T&Cs

      • I'd reckon this qualifies as 'faulty product'. The manufacturer advertised a promotion only to fail to honour it.

      • +1

I returned some of the ones I bought on basis of the expiry date.
Still no response from Lindt - didn't receive any gift cards.
I do read that some people that submitted after me already received gift cards. I'm wondering if I should submit again or complain with screenshots (for the ones I still have).

Initially met with resistance, but store manager refunded in the end.

        • Same for me.. No response. Sent them an email on the 10th

Lane Cove Woolworths were selling packets today expiring on 31 January 2022. I took a couple of packets to the service desk to make them aware and was greeted with a shrug of the shoulders.

    • +2

Do supermarkets not have a responsibility to sell unexpired goods? Not everyone checks the expiry or best before dates, just assume the items on the shelf isn't expired. (I try to remember to always check but I know there are plenty of people out there who don't.)

So I feel like it's kinda of irresponsible/unfair for supermarkets to be selling expired goods especially after it's being pointed out to them. The shrug of the shoulders to me means they're not going to check those chocolates and just leave them on the shelves. That's quite worrying…

      • Food can be legally sold after a “best before” date as long as it is not damaged, deteriorated or perished, foods with a “use-by” date can not.

        • +3

Crap near Best Before Expiry sells for a large discounts at plenty of retailers . Only conmen/AMZ/Major Supermarkets sell them at full RRP .

        • +1

But i thought it needs to be clearly advertised / identified as being past the best before so people are aware when they buy it?

    • +1

Went to a Big W today and saw theirs were expiring July 2022. Maybe Woolworths had stock expiring soon or just expired and Lindt wanted to get rid of them quick. That's why the promotion is only with Woolworths.

      • Good point. I just noticed mine have best before dates 31 Jan 22 (purchased 10 Feb 22) and 28 Feb 22.

  • +1

I notice some WW stores have donation trolleys so maybe can consider giving to a good cause if you can't return those near BBD ones?

  • +2

Won 2x $5 and heard nothing. The dark chocolate and salted caramel are rubbish. $5 for 8 squares/124g is a rip off too.

    • +1

      I "won" $50, I received only silence though ..

  • +11

Lindt called me back today after leaving them a VM last week.
Lady was super nice, apologised profusely.

She explained the issue is with the third party managing the promo.

She told me the issue lies with the third parties system only capturing the time stamp, so if you have multiple purchases around the same time they flag them as dupes.
She advised anyone who's had rejections to email the support email.

They're going to manually process them and assured me they will all be paid.

She made sure to add that they're 100% within their rules and all will be honoured.

    Edit:
The lovely Lindt lady must have some serious pull. Whilst hitting submit on this comment I got the following email:

    Thanks for your email.
The automated systems flagged sequential receipts as potentially fraudulent; and as such; due to the way people are using the promo; we have moved to manual validations to mitigate the issue.
Your claims have now been approved, vouchers will be issued within 3 business days.
    Kind regards,

    • +1

Thanks for the update. I've not had any reply to the email I sent last week.

    • I just received the same email.

    • +1

Thanks for the info. Now I guess it's just a waiting game for that email …
Hope it's first come first serve since I emailed them back on the 10th right after I got the denial.

  • How do we prove we submitted an entry? I thought we'd receive an email confirmation for each entry so I don't even have a screen shot.

    • I screen shot mine. The first email I ever got from them was to tell me my claim had been rejected.

    • They have them all on file.

  • +1

Multiple peole on Facebook reporting that Lindt has blocked them from commenting. They're clearly trying to contain this. https://www.facebook.com/LindtAustralia/reviews/?ref=page_in…

  • Submitted on the 9th I still haven't received anything

  • +1

3x $5. No followup email. This promo seems to be run by amateurs.

  • +6

As per this comment a third party contractor is mishandling this promotion (not Lindt or Woolies), and if the whois of the domain is anything to go by, that company is Pilgrim Communications.

If whoever illz spoke to is right, we'll soon hopefully see this mess sorted!

  • Submitted one claim on February 12 for $5. Nothing yet.

  • +2

I submitted on the 10th at 8am. Still no response at all for my 5 entries or wife's 5……

  • +2

I submitted my entries on 9th night. I received nothing so far

  • +2

I entered on the 10th and haven't received any emails yet. 5x5 for me. I sent an email with a photo of all my receipts. I wonder if I should just enter the competition again… 🙄

  • +1

no news yet on 10th. lol

They might busy trying to sort out system issue.

  • No email for my entries on the 10th yet…

Are you sure you are not going to send them hate mail?

Submitted my receipts on 10 Feb Thursday night - neither confirmation email, nor any $5 eGift cards received yet.

Best before dates: 31 January 2022 (was sold after and I didn't pay attention) and 28 Feb 2022

I am going to return - get a $5 refund or exchange

  • Submitted two receipts on the 10/2/2022, no emails or gift cards received…. Have checked spam…

  • From the comments here so far, it's like entries on the 10th Feb went into a black hole.

  • +4

I’m assuming the fact they are processing manually is why they aren’t meeting their 3 business days deadline but their lack of communication is ridiculous.

    • By tomorrow they have their 3 biz days .
It takes too much brains to check a couple in each name as if they were duplicates they would be picked up there .
I bet they are checking most peoples all five like dummies hehe :)

      • Already been 4 business days for people who submitted on the 9th (I submitted 5 that night and still haven't heard anything back).

  • Submitted my claims on Friday 11th
    No response yet

    • Too early to worry, 10th Feb should go first. We are also still waiting. In a queue. 🙂

      • Haha, I’ll wait my turn. Expecting this to take 10 days rather than 3

      • +1

9th but still haven't received anything

  • +3

    They have added the below to their FAQ;

We are experiencing a large volume of claims right now. We apologise for any delays, however all claims will receive a response regarding validation within 3-4 business days.

    • That means for those who submitted on the 10th a response should be received today. I wonder?

      • +1

I submitted on the 9th and haven’t received anything.

        • Today must be the 4th business day for you (excluding day of submission).

  • I have submitted mine last Friday and didn’t get any email.
