      • Current plan still active until 13th March. Holding off until then.

        • +1

Oh I see, thanks for the quick response!

          • @oldrocker: Went on Boost chat today and asked them to transfer my number to the new SIM. Current SIM plan expires tomorrow but was happy to just get it done.
Took about 10 mins on the chat and my number was transferred and active on the new SIM within minutes.
A pleasant no fuss experience. Can confirm bonus 40gb was added - 280gb total.

  • Current Boost customer, just purchased the $200 sim, do I need to create a boost id before chatting to customer service to try and get ported to the new sim without porting out to another provider first?

    • No boost ID needed. online chat verify you by ask you questions and send you a sms code.

  • I am existing boost customer and ordered this sim. Boost said they will allow me to move to the new sim without issues. Now, I am thinking adding the vodafone sim is not a bad deal for 3.8. Can I cancel and reorder or modify my old order?

    • +1

      have fixed it for you

      • Thank you for your help!

      • I have just placed my second order for Boost and am not sure How to add a Vodafone sim for $3.8 ? Thanks

    • How to add Vodafone sim for $3.8 ? Thanks

      • Please do it in the option, not directly buy the vodafone link.

  • Any recharge deal for Existing customers? My recharge expires today so need a 12 months plan again

    • Boost customer support told me no need to port out. They asked me to buy the boost 200 aud sim from the best deal available (in this case simonline). Once we have the new boost sim, they will transfer my boost number from current sim card to the new boost sim card.

  • Hi OP, Express shipping is now 3$ at checkout?

  • How to get $30 Vodafone sim for $3.8? I am only getting $7.2 off from total.

    Thanks

  • I'm also current Boost customer and this looks like a good deal. So I guess there's no problemo to get Boost to port an existing Boost number to the new simcard?

    • +1

Boost customer support told me no need to port out. They asked me to buy the boost 200 aud sim from the best deal available (in this case simonline). Once we have the new boost sim, they will transfer my boost number from current sim card to the new boost sim card.

  • Thanks OP.

I bought the $200 SIM ($151 or $152 depending which code you use) and received it pretty quickly with standard post. I also got the Vodafone SIM because It am already a Telstra customer.

Contacted Boost via chat and they told me not to worry about the Vodafone port out and back into Boost. They did the transfer (Telstra to Boost/Telstra) in about 10 minutes.

Now just waiting on the SIM for my wife's phone. (Ordered earlier this afternoon).

We are not heavy data users so this plan will be more than suitable…. and will save us something like $600+ in the next year. Telstra had been giving us a $40 a month deal but baulked at continuing that and wanted us to pay $55 a month for an "upgraded" service that we won't use…. so our savings might be as high as $900. I assume Boost is still making money, so Telstra's profits must be huge - and gobbled up by something else.

Bonus data various time by time. We've seen min 20Gb and max 80Gb since mid of last year. changes roughly per two months. We don't know what happen to bonus data after March 28th. Will update if we have infomration from boost. we also have telstra $300 sims at same discount rate.

      • +1

Thx OP, most important please keep this 24.5% plus temp Vodafone sim for existing customers jumping out and in available at all time.

      • I ordered this on March 20 and still haven't received it - I hope it's not a scam to arrive late so I can't activate in time to get the bonus 40 GB of data ??

    • How quick is shipping?

      • Australia post collect from us every day 2:30 PM Monday to Friday. We usually ship out all orders in one business day.

      • I ordered a sim last deal on 14/02, shipped 15/02, arrived in WA on 22/02.

    • +1

Can I use this to renew if I'm currently on a Boost plan? It expires in June, so I presume I cannot get the bonus data as I won't be activating before then (just checking out of hope there's an alternative).

      • +3

Yes just message Boost via online chat

      • +1

Much easier just to buy the $5 voda sim include from this deal and port out then back in again, my friend did this within 1/2 hr all done

        • +1

No need to port out and port in. Do chat via and they wil transfer it for you. Bonus data will be applied also, just ask for it if recharging before 28/03. I just did mine this week. All done in a few minutes.

          • @seeknsearch: For the already boost customers recharging online, do you need the physically change the sim or just details from the recharge pack?

            • +1

@Hutchy: In my case, I had to physically change the sim.

            • +1

@Hutchy: Yes, need to physically change the sim.

          • @seeknsearch: so there's no need to buy the vodafone SIM when ordering this?

        • +1

Normally I would agree with you, I had intended to buy a $5 sim. But I spoke to Boost via live chat and they did it within 5 minutes. (Recharged $200 Sim Boost-> Boost with Bonus Data).

Boost's live chat support is fairly decent at resolving issues, (unlike other carriers).

        • talked to boost chat earlier this week to transfer credit onto my existing service, was done within 1 day no need to port out/back in + bonus data. they deactivate your number first and then change your number to the sim after activation.

    • Is it possible to apply the recharge now to an existing account to get the bonus 40gb even if the existing account doesnt expire until a month or two from now? Thanks!!

      • +2

Yes, I just did it via online chat, no need to port out. Just tell them to apply the 40gb bonus too. Be aware that whatever data you have will not carry over.

    • Where do i enter the discount?
I’ve followed through the whole purchasing process and can’t seem to see a spot to put it before entering CC details and pay.

      • +1

click your shop cart. on the left side, there's "Have a promo coupon? Redeem your coupon", just end SAVE24. then checkout.

        • Had to view as desktop website instead of mobile to find it, but got there in the end.
          Cheers!

    • How long does it take to port out and port back in?

      • I recomemed you use one day or two. the vodafone $30 card actually have 40gb data and can let you use for up to 28 days.

    • any amaysim long expiry deals

    • Would you OzBarginers this 280gb boost deal for $226 or Kogan 500gb flex $300. I've missed out on any Kogan deals, plan expires 10 April. I used only 250gb last year but was home cos for Rona

      • +1

It comes down to Telstra (Boost) vs Vodafone (Kogan) … very obvious answer, right?

      • +1

If you need data the kogan is better value.

If you need FULL telstra coverage on a budget and can deal with less data then go boost.

    • Do you have international roaming? Had to be without network for 2 months when I was outside of Australia

      • I heard telstra will add internatioal roaming soon, but not sure about boost. will keep you update

      • By the way, some people claims that wifi call working overseas. I don't have friends oversea recently, so I am not sure whether it's really works.

        https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9xkk1ln3

        • It used to have international roaming back in Dec 2019 and in Dec 2021 the sim doesn't receive any signal at all. May be in few countries it does, but not in India/Srilanka

    • I just got boost 2 weeks ago $166 ebay with its wifi calling feature and it was a god sent! i used to get no signal before on vodaphone from inside the house and could not talk unless i go outside the house, now i get WhatsApp quality on phone calls!! (do note that they dont have 5g tho)

      • Both telstra and boost support wifi calls which is really good when your address has poor signal.

        • i forgot to add that wifi calling and volte does not work for all phones so make sure your phone supports it, all iphones after iphone 6s have it. not all androids. definitely check if thats the only reason your swapping for.

    • Great price considering they have volte, wifi calling and visual voicemail.

    • Can existing Telstra prepaid customers who are finishing up on their 12 months from the previous $300 recharge use the discounted $300 sim again or is it for new Telstra customers only?

      • +1

You may add an vodafone sim (for extra $3.77) use for a few ( the sim have 40Gb data and can be use up to 28 days)and port back.

otherwise, try the method (chatting with custmer support) that some other users suggested above.

    • Does this require all my details (dob, drivers license number, ect) like the official Boost site to purchase Online ?
Just don’t like giving my personal details, maybe I’m just being over cautious !

      • +4

When you order from us. we don't need your IDs.
But you still need to activate on boost website, which means it will collect your ID.
It's an ACMA requirement for the teco in Australia. So, probably not other choice.

        • Thanks for explaining, much appreciated.

    • Hi OP. Thanks for posting the deal. My current Boost deal is expiring in August 2022. For me international calls overseas (Pakistan) is very crucial. Boost has recently changed their overseas inclusions. Do you know how many minutes if any, will be included to call Pakistan?

    • Hi,
I’m currently with Vodafone, can I keep my number? And usually how long does it take to transfer to Boost?
      Many thanks

      • You can port as long as you can still receive a verification code by SMS on the number. I ported from catch connect at about 10pm and it went through around 6am the next day (WA time).

        • mine took 2 mins from kogan to this

      • +5

        Hum…
Gotta say that I think at least half the blame here lies with you.

        • More than half? And you neg them? Lol

          • @abacus: I fixed my mistake by informing them the correct address. They haven't suffered for this. But for their mistake I had to suffer. Also they were not replying. Don't I have the right to neg them ?

        • Thanks. Please tell me what I was supposed to do in that situation? I informed him within an hour. He confirmed and shipped it after 2 days.
What was my fault here? Am I the only one to blame here?
          Shouldn't I expect a Sorry from them ?

          • +1

@N B: Thats why whenever I filled in forms online, I triple checked every fields letter by letter, number by number before click next or submit button, as I will only blame myself if making stupid mistake and even couldn't type my own living address correctly …

          • @N B: Please op me your order number, we haven't aware this happened. If yes, we do need to apologies.

    • I've got very flakey broadband at home.

Is this about the best option going at present for cheap hotspotting?

I'd be quite happy with a basic 1.5mbps plan with unlimited usage, but can't see much around…

      • +1

Telstra data only $15/month unlimited data capped at 1.5Mbps.

    • Good price but Boost is telling me I cant port out and in within a day. Require a month of port out in order to port back in.

Putting in all the stops to prevent churn and encourage recharge.

      OP: any lebara recharge deal?

    • I went to renew mine and my wife's maybe two weeks ago. I talked to chat to ensure the port out/in requirement and they said that I could avoid all the hassle because they could give me a $50 discount on the recharge on both accounts (refunded via credit card used). The only downside is you don't get the bonus data, but as I don't use much data, the convenience to not port out was worth it for me.

Maybe give it a shot if you don't care for the extra data.

This was for the $200 recharge by the way…

      • good info but too late in my case. didnt realise my prepaid actually ended today so had to port out to lebara, gotten a new sim pack and kept getting error. yea tough love, gotta wait a few days to give it another try.

      • +1

OK so we can bargain via online chat to do a recharge directly with them for $150 instead? I dont really care about bonus data, i never used more than 5gb for the whole year LOL!

  • Oops forgot to add the promo code Order#5138.

    • +1

      fixed for you

      • Thanks Op

  • Hi OP, I purchased a $300 Telstra Sim Kit from previous sale, order number is #3293. When I tried to activate the sim card, it shows the sim is invalid. I've emailed and rang you with no success. Could you please find out what the problem is?

  • +1

Do you have any updates on the (rumoured) extended activation expiry of 4/07/22?

  • I ordered this on March 20 and still haven't received it - I hope it's not a scam to arrive late so I can't activate in time to get the bonus 40 GB of data ??

    • Received mine a couple of days ago. Check your tracking, mine came from Melb, am in Syd.
