      Your account has been suspended.

      • +1

is there anyway we can unlink my velocity points from a suspended account ?

        • +2

Unfortunately not. See pm for workaround.

          • +6

      • Do you also need to use a different device?

      • thanks cwongtech !

        • My pleasure :)

  • +3

Terminal gate price has gone up by 6c, probably best to do a few strategic locks before the last NSW prices climb

    • +1

Just did this last night for all my mates. Last time I filled Diesel, I locked in for $1.86. No chance I can get that again!

  • I use an app called PetrolSpy. It shows me the local cheapest price on the map. I feel like the app is doing all need to achieve here. Let me know if I miss out anything.

    • PetrolSpy is for fuel across various suppliers. This one here is specifically for Mobil 7/11 servos.

      • I use the graph in PetrolSpy to see the price trend and whether it has peaked or bottomed out. And the data is specific for the city you live in.

        • +1

whether it has peaked or bottomed out.

Past Performance Is Not Indicative Of Future Results

          • @jv: Haha! That's true but I find the graph gives me a good heads-up of when prices are about to rise or fall.

          • @jv: Same income. Same super contribution. A lifetime of difference.

        • I like to use the ACCC but it can be a bit laggy

    • I use an app called PetrolSpy.

I find it is often wrong.

      • That is because it relies on people inputting the data, often they fill it in for the wrong price or fuel type.
Sometimes I wonder if a particular service station does this far more often than randomly?

        • I believe Fuel Check is more accurate?

      • I use Petrol Spy too, find it relatively accurate so it works for me.

  • +1

The trend graph is showing Melb and WA is going down but NSW still has the cheapest 711 price, quiet high at 185.7c/L.

  • Not worth locking in at the moment.

Most of the Shell's near us are 199.9.
Once you subtract the 8 cents discount, hardly worth the effort of locking in and going to 7-Eleven.

    • Most NSW petrol stations in Sydney Area are 220cpl for 91, so 7/11 will have to do for now

Most of the Shell's near us are 199.9.
Once you subtract the 8 cents discount, hardly worth the effort of locking in and going to 7-Eleven.

Or you can do the same if you have Woolworths Caltex/Ampol and pay with discounted eGift card on top of the 4c/8c discount

      • +4

With Coles express, you don't need a discounted egift card.
you can just use the free AFL app for the extra 4 cent discount.

also, the coffee is way better than 7-Eleven

        • +2

4c Afl discount < 4/8cents rewards Woolworths plus 4% off from discount e gift cards

  • +1

Hmm. Maintenance on the app tonight.
    Hopefully not a patch. :o

    • Just checked.. Still works!

However locking in for $2.05 for 95 seems robbery!

      • +1

I've already reported them to the police.

      • Nah. Maintenance starts at 9pm tonight. So we won't know the effects until the morning.

        • +1

          email states:

"but everything will be just the way you left it when it's back online."

          • +2

@jv: Yeah. I'll believe that when I see it!

    • It's telling me to correct my location when using the smali method. Anyone confirm it's still working? Trying to convert to System app but no tools can do it and have not been updated in a long time for Android 12. Ninja GPS is running mock location with smali patch and my device is certified in Play Store.

      • I thought Smali Patcher doesn't work for Android 12?

From what I read, for Android 12 you'll need to use the mock mock locations module for Zygisk

Just tested my configuration (Android 11, Smali) and it's working fine.

      • +3

Can confirm that it's still working with 3UTools on iOS as of this morning.

        • +3

Ok, Android 12 confirmed working install LSPosed through Magisk, Zygisk must be enabled. Make sure the 7 Eleven app is not on the Zygist deny list. LSPosed Manager creates a shortcut which kept crashing the app for me so I had to manually install it from data/adb/lspd/manager.apk. LSPosed has a new updated mock location APK called "Hide Mock Location 2.0.9" download and install. Enabled it in LSPosed and select the checkbox next to the 7 Eleven app underneath. You will need to reboot between steps.

Damn, $2.139 best price for U98.
And I thought $2 was expensive

    • +1

I mentioned earlier 7-11 prices aren't that competitive now, so it may be better to pump at Coles/WW if you have increased discounts. Shell V-power app has a 5c/discount at the moment, combined with 4c voucher you'd get 9c off which might be lower than 7-11.

Stack further with discounted prepaid Coles Mastercard if you managed to get some (this applies to 7-11 also)

    • +2

That's still 27c/L off the 240.9/L being asked around me.

  • +6

Unlike me if you can hold off until tomorrow unleaded will be cheaper from 8 AM AEST:

    U91 (195.3): -4.4c
    P95 (207.3): -4.4c
    P98 (215.3): -4.4c

    DSL (219.9): +2.0c

    • Same price than yesterday. Did we reach the top yet? :-)

    • And will hopefully continue to drop until Tuesday, as that’s Perth’s cheapest day (one a fortnight).

    • +3

Cheapest U91 in WA is going up tomorrow to 195.9 (+0.6c). Perth is actually only half way through their two week cycle. Their cheapest price is predicted to occur on Tuesday 5th July.

    so, Pay & Go
they want a mobile number, mmmm. "We just need to grab your mobile number to verify you." yeah, rightio then.
I'm really not sure i want to provide actual, real, personal details to a company with the ethics and track record of 7-Eleven.
I guess i could register with the velocity linked account.

    • +1

It seems reasonable of them to ask considering you’re paying via the app. But I agree. I’m happy to walk in store and pay and keep my payment and personal details to myself.

  • +1

    Anyone try Pay & Go?

    • +1

Nope and unlikely to. Only offered at some stores. Also the iOS app hasn’t received the update yet.

    • +1

Will it work on my Nokia 3310 ?

      • +5

Does it have an app store?

    • not after i learned you have to submit a selfie as part of the rego process. f that.

      • If anyone does submit a selfie, smile wildly so they can’t use it as a passport photo. Unless of course that makes it fail the ID check…

  • Hi, firstly thanks to all those that got this working (and keeping it going.)

Have suggestions regarding the price alerts (sure similar ones have been posted before, but not sure if any were actually implemented, and have concrete suggestions for how to implement):
    1. Can we either edit the script, or the website, to trigger alerts when the CHANGE in price is larger than some amount? e.g. drop by more than 8 cents since last price.
    2. Can the destination coordinates be added, as a column?

    For 1:
    - I think changing the google script is possible, but this would require it to have a variable for the last price. I think this would make it more difficult the way it is at the moment.
    - So, I suggest having a separate column (or prefer not visible, at least machine accessible) so the server can calculate the difference once per update, then the script would only need to be modified to not look for the price, but check the difference (already calculated.) i.e. just check a different, already available, variable, and compare against a static value. I don't think this would significantly increase server load.
    What do you guys think?

    For 2:
It would be awesome if the coordinates (which would be mostly static) could be in a separate column. If it makes the website design too hard (UI, view on mobile etc.), included in the alerts would be even better. The destination is already included in alerts, having the coordinates would certainly make it better.

This would make autopilot a closer reality!

That's up to Master131 or another user to suggest an edit to implement, sure it's a nice feature to have, but would take a little time to work on.
Server load would not be increased, that stored value/delta is probably going to be on your Google Scripts side.

  • Since the latest update, I keep getting error E01 when I go to lock in the price. Safetynet still okay (google pay working) any ideas ?

Edit: I just tried another account on a friends phone that hasn't been modified and also getting E01 error..hmmm

Edit 2: downgraded to old version and I can lock in.

Why are people even bothering to lock in at the moment when it is much cheaper to go with Coles/Caltex and use vouchers.

I just paid 191.9 at Shell Express for U91.

      • My local Coles is 239.9 for diesel.

        • +2

          Get rid of your car.

      • Because you have to pay to get the vouchers? Not everyone carries these vouchers around mate

        • Because you have to pay to get the vouchers?

I get a free one each day in the AFL app

          • @jv: That's only 4c off per litre?

            • @Toffcuz: I also used my Coles docket voucher, that is 8c in total.

              • +1

@jv: Yep so you do have to pay for it… and 8c off shell is jack, compared to how much 7 eleven chopper saves me. Shell are so much more overpriced than the 7eleven chopper even including the 8c off from all these combined dockets…

                • @Toffcuz:

Yep so you do have to pay for it…

                  How? both are free?

                  • +1

@jv: You have to buy things at Coles to receive a "free" docket… If you believe that is free then idk what to tell you man

                • @Toffcuz:

and 8c off shell is jack

Cheaper than every 7-Eleven across the country at the moment for me…

                  • @jv: Not for me, what city do u live in?

                    • @Toffcuz:

Not for me, what city do u live in?

                      Melbourne.

                      Shell is 199.9 - 8 = 191.9

                      Cheapest 7-11 is 196.9 (197.7 in Vic)

                      • @jv: Middle-low socioeconomic area of Melb?

      • Because everywhere near Canberra is $2.2+ for 91.

        • +1

          Was there over Easter.

Fuel prices in Canberra are a rip-off.

      • So you are just speaking for people in Melbourne mate…

        • or Sydney… ie. the majority of the population….

In Syd, you can pay 193.9 at Shell Express…

          • @jv: $2.09 for 91 at my local Shell Express.

            Sydney CBD/inner city.

          • @jv: If you live near that one… I'm not driving 1 hr just to fill up mate

      • Sadly, Sydney is not the same. Even with 8cents off, the cheapest Shell in a 10km radius to me works out to me just 1c cheaper than 7-11 for U91.
Worse, I need 2 x diesel, same Shell is $2.35. 7-11 is $2.26. So ever so slightly cheaper, but it doesn't matter at such thing margins.

Need to ride the motorbike instead!

    • +1

I'm also getting the same error. How did you downgrade to an older version?

      • +1

Uninstall, download old version of apk and disable auto update from Google play store

        • Got it working, thanks. Hopefully they don't force us into the new app.

          • @ModBot: It's only a matter of time before they do it, they've done it in the past before they rebuilt the app

            • @cwongtech: Are you also facing the same issue mate ?

              • @ModBot: E01 on my main Android phone (unrooted, no modifications made to it)

My chopper fleet doesn't have auto-updates turned on so they are currently unaffected

Just strange that unmodified phones are also getting affected, they definitely broke something with the latest update

                • @cwongtech: yeh, i reckon once they force the update, the E01 issue would be resolved. I doubt they can block a phone that has safetynet working and some sort of root hide.
