    • thank you, this work for me. as always

    • Method still working for me using iAnyGo - locked in WA, located QLD

      • Thats good to know ,Did you use a VPN ?

    • Thanks Dave! This worked perfectly! :-)

  • virtual device no longer loads properly. Just gets stuck on the google logo trying to turn on. Anybody know how to fix this?

  • Tried all different methods but it looks like I can only lock in the same state (without VPN just need to fake the location).

  • +1

Just locked in interstate with ifake on an old ipad.
Connected with VPN in fuel state and ifake
Open the fuel app and search
Tried to lock in but A01 error.
Turned off VPN and the lock worked

    • +3

Seems they might be just blocking the ip addresses from most know VPN servers.

  • +3

For those encountering the A01 error, you may troubleshoot it by considering the following two aspects:

    1. Regardless of the program you use to spoof your location, such as iFake, GeoPort, VPN, etc., ensure that you deactivate them before you lock in the fuel price.

    2. Switch your Wi-Fi or cellular connection. For example, from home wifi to 4G / 5G or from 4G / 5G to office Wifi.

So far, these methods have proven successful for me. Hope it helps.

    • +1

Also consider deleting and reinstalling the app as discussed on page 50 by sleepingpanda and kklyc.

      This worked for me.

    • +9

Okay this worked for me! Along with Dave31's instructions, there's an added step.

      1. Open GeoPort (https://geoport.me)
      2. Enable fuel mode and choose best price
      3. Set location
      4. NordVPN to state matching the fuel location
      5. Open 7-11 app and search for best fuel price
      6. Turn off NordVPN and stop location in GeoPort
      7. Switch networks, from WiFi to cellular, or vice versa, or similar.
      8. In 7-11 app, lock in fuel price
      • +1

        Update: still working for me

        • +1

Update: 31/06/2024 still working for me

Here are the steps with a bit more detail

          1. Open GeoPort (https://geoport.me)
          2. Connect device
          3. Enable fuel mode, select region, select fuel type
          4. Simulate location
          5. Connect NordVPN on iPhone to state matching the fuel location
          6. Open 7-11 app and click "Find my best local price"
          7. Disconnect NordVPN and stop location in GeoPort
          8. On iPhone, switch networks, from WiFi to cellular, or vice versa, or similar.
          9. In 7-11 app, lock in fuel price
      • Worked for me. Thanks!

      • not working for me :(

      • +1

Worked for me after a few attempts!

One thing I noticed in step 6 was when I stopped location on GeoPort, my location was still spoofed (checked via Google Maps). I had to stop and 'disconnect' my phone. Once my location was no longer spoofed (checking via Google Maps) that's when it worked for me.

        Thanks @authentic9162!

      • Is it still working? Tried on my M2 mac and not working

        • Still working, I'm on Intel mac though.

Here are the steps with more detail, maybe you were using NordVPN on your computer and not your phone?

          1. Open GeoPort (https://geoport.me)
          2. Connect device
          3. Enable fuel mode, select region, select fuel type
          4. Simulate location
          5. Connect NordVPN on iPhone to state matching the fuel location
          6. Open 7-11 app and click "Find my best local price"
          7. Disconnect NordVPN and stop location in GeoPort
          8. On iPhone, switch networks, from WiFi to cellular, or vice versa, or similar.
          9. In 7-11 app, lock in fuel price
    • That does not work with Geoport (not using VPN) and trying to do an interstate lock in my case. Will try with VPN later.

  • can't lock in my own state using home wifi or mobile data. a01 error every time.

    setup:
    - avd (pixel 4a)
    - magisk 27 with in hidden app mode and zygisk
    - shamiko 1.0.1 installed
    - lsposed 1.9.2 with gps setter enabled
    - no vpn
    - my 7-eleven 2.20.1

    • -5

      Try an iphone

    • +2

Hey, I had this issue this morning too.

Please see: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15218143/redir for my fix

      • +1

Finally, worked for me. Same state - didn't bother trying interstate as there is only a cent between VIC and NSW right now.
I've been trying to get this to work following all updated tips and tricks for several days but nothing has worked until this recommendation.
Thank You Flapjack!!! Keep up the good fight :)

      • There's no .exe file to install / run, please help?

  • +2

    Update from my end.

Bluestacks method still works with location change and VPN running within the B'stacks - not NORD this time.

Looks like they have blocked the lock on well known VPN servers/ip address etc with A01 error.

    • do you mind DMing what VPN? Cant get a lock for the life of me today

    • Thank you, you addressed my suspecions.

  • I'm using Android studio and I'm getting an error from the 7 Eleven app that there's no Internet even though other things in the emulator has access.
Its recent so I guess it's part of theirstuff.
I cannot even lock in my own state with my wifi or with data shared from my mobile.

  • I tried downloading GeoPort but my virus scanner instantly quarantined it. Is anyone else having this issue? I also got a message saying the app wasn't signed which might have been the reason.

    • +8

That is the reason. It’s my app and I’m not forking out $149 for a developer cert for something that I’m providing free to the community. Plus donations are really really minimal. After 3 months of releasing GeoPort I wouldn’t even be able to buy a 12 month developer cert from Apple!

      • +1

I reckon you should charge people even just $1/month it might help maintaining your costs behind making this. End of the day they are getting financial benefit out of your chopper pad😅

        • +4

Haha it’s a good idea. No one will pay it however.

Its astonishing the amount of messages (not here, on discord and Reddit) I get from people who feel entitled to something they’ve got for free that helps them gain an advantage in whatever they’re using GeoPort for)

  • +2

I locked in today through Android Studio (same state).

    Things I believe may help:

    • Delete virtual device and start from scratch
    • Hide magisk app
    • GPS Setter module (LSPosed) enabled for 7-Eleven only
    • Magisk Modules - Play integrity fix, playcurl, shamiko, zygisk
    • Copying an existing virtual device won't be the same as starting from scratch will it?

      • I think it’ll keep the same device ID so if yours has been blacklisted any new accounts will quickly be banned for it.

  • +3

same state, GeoPort and no VPN still works for me

  • +3

Another update from my end and steps taken to try another method

    iPhone 8 with iOS 16.7.7
Airplane mode with Wi-Fi and NordVPN connected to desired state
    Location locked via iAnyGo
Sign in my 7-Eleven app and search for fuel
Didn't lock straight away what I did before lock I disabled location services and then locked no problems.

    • Tried your method on Iphone X with IOS 16.7.7 and got A01 error.
Did you run the iAnyGo on a PC or directly on the iphone? Thanks

  • Just used GeoPort as well. Same state, no vpn, worked fine.

  • Merged from 7-Eleven App - Avoid A01 Error Tips

It seems like the A01 error has been increasing lately.
It used to be that to avoid this error you need to:
    - Update the app
    - Be in nearby location (obviously)
    - Last but most importantly, be in that state (this is new)

But despite all these, I'm still getting this A01 error. Anything able to bypass for a successful lock-in? What am I missing?

    • +1

Have you locked in fuel more than once in the day? That will bring up the error.

I had it constantly for ages, contacted 7/11 for support and they told me you get the error if you lock in fuel more than once in a day (or 24 hour period but I’m not sure which one)

    • using vpn seems to worked.

  • +4

slightly off topic. but if anyone has ebay plus you can get decent 25l plastic Jerry can for under $23 (using PLUSW22)

They're shorter & more squat then the SCA ones (which makes them more stable in the back of the car/ute), the nozzle gets reversed and stored internally (so no losing it) and it has an air intake valve so you can keep filling without stopping.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155948474008

For me, they paid for themselves within 3 fills.
They also have 20l & 10l versions. It's been nice filling the car with $1.78/l fuel when people are paying $2.35/l

    • PLUSW15 for non eBay Plus

    • It's been nice filling the car with $1.78/l fuel when people are paying $2.35/l

How are you getting that since they brought in the max 25¢ per litre discount?

      • because i bought 100l 2 weeks ago, one of the independents were keeping the 711 honest and at $1.98

  • +2

For those getting A01 error on home broadband/Wifi, maybe check your actual IP location without VPN/Fake GPS

I live in VIC and More is my internet provider, but my 'actual' state is showing NSW.
I guess it has something to do with the hub of your service provider?

A01 issue solved while using mobile hotspot, on Geoport and ipad, lock within same state (VIC)

    • +4

      Good thinking.
Now to work for a company whose headquarters are in WA… so I can VPN in for work…

    • Did you try a lock to NSW whilst connected to More?

    • +1

Agree with Bearkel. I have a similar scenario. I'm in Vic but I couldn't lock Vic price using my home wifi as the actual IP shows NSW. If using home wifi, I can only lock NSW price without issue. In order to lock Vic price, I have to use my phone or mobile hotspot.

    • +1

Created an account just to comment this. This definitely seems to be the solution.
-Located in VIC so locked in the best price for VIC
-I tried multiple accounts and all had A01 error
-Checked IP and found that it was showing NSW
-Locked in best price for NSW instead and this finally worked

      Conclusion:
-A01 error happens if your IP doesn't match the state of where you are trying to lock
-check your IP (https://whatismyipaddress.com/) and lock in best price for that state

  • +1

confirmed that following dave31's advice and it worked.
Was able to lock WA price from NSW on iOS

    • I followed those directions and couldn't get it to work, repeated A01 errors. I was trying to lock a WA price from VIC. (Although I was using iFL instead of GeoPort).
I was able to lock a price using a fake location within Victoria without using a VPN, like many others.
I'm not sure what else to do to get an interstate lock working but I guess I'll try GeoPort next week.

    • I also couldn't get an interstate lock using @dave31's geoport method. I also tried iFL.
Using an ipad with ios 17.4.x I couldn't get geoport to stop the location spoofing.
When I press stop or disconnect the device, the ipad still gives out A01 errors.
Unless there's an affordable way of getting an interstate ip address that's not a known VPN, then I think I'm stuck to local fuel locks.

      • +1

You can always DM if you've got an issue with GeoPort.
It's not a silver-bullet for A01's but plenty of people are getting interstate locks through the posted method. Some say it's timing and not doing things immediately.

        • Hi @dave31, I am trying to lock in interstate and unfortunately I have tried multiple times without success. I am on iPhone 14 iOS 17.4.1. Any further tips you can share please.

  • +2

Haven't been able to lock anything lately, even without fake location enabled…

Real location, no VPN, wifi or hotspot…

    A01 has hit me hard

    • Have you tried changing fuel type and back again? That can be a fix for the A01 error.

  • +2

Device ID Changer - Can someone send me where to grab this for the lsposed?
I have done the hide my app stuff. Still having issues.
    Thanks.

    • Just in the Play Store.

      • Thanks.

  • Is GeoPort safe?

I get some detections of Trojens on virustotal?

Also, do you need to enable developer mode with GeoPort? 3utools seems to work on iOS 17 now but you need to toggle developer mode on, I turn it off afterward, seems like a security risk to leave it on?

    • +1

GeoPort is safe if you trust me?
But funny you would trust 3utools which is developed by a Chinese entity shrugs

GeoPort will enable developer mode for you

      • +1

Oh and you probably get 3 detections from unknown scanners. That's due to pyinstaller.

      • +2

Big thank you Dave31, Geoport is working for me, i run it on windows 11, and iphone ios17.4.1

      • Hi Dave, how to lock on windows using GeoPort?

        • More info please. I don’t understand your question

  • +1

thought id share my way on getting the app to work. This works only with locking into a location that is within your current state

    1. Using 3utools to change to your desired location
    2. Make sure wifi is turned off and use the simcard in the phone's network data
    3. Open 711 app find and lock in price

Bit of a pain if you dont use the iPhone as your main phone like me. I have to take out my sim on my main and put it into the iphone. Havent found a way to have the phone fake it using a 3g/4g data network. Hotspotting used to work but no longer does for me

    hope this helps others

  • +1

Iphone 8 on not updated IOS
    3u Tools

Now can only lock in the state i live and no VPN

I can look up other states but it will not lock.

    • +1

Same here, with old iPhone SE 1st gen running iOS 15.
Wish I could get it to lock to other states. Oh well

  • Anyone having luck with Android Studio method? Was working for me a few weeks ago but not anymore.

    • +1

works so far with the latest HMA patch

      • With different state/VPN? Damn, I've tried this…

      • Which patch are you referring to?

        • The Hide My App plugin in the earlier discussion. A01 gone after applying it but not tried different state

          • @tangwf: Some of us are in garbage states :( (for fuel locking at least)

            • +1

@amrdeus: Ah, tried different state and get A01, so seems that HMA method works for same states only

              • @tangwf: Thanks for the update. Yeah I'm in a bad state (petrol wise).

    • +1

works fine with local state locking with no VPN.

  • -1

Couldn't even get IFL to work in my own state with and without VPN. End of an era.

  • +1

Was in a rush today. Tried to lock in NSW from QLD. Kept getting A01s

Decided it didn’t really bother me for a $0.03/L difference. Locked in intrastate. Filled up.

Shits and giggles tonight I tried interstate again. It worked. Can’t explain what was different.

    • Sometimes the (optus) mobile IP resolve to a hostname in a different state then it can't lock.

  • use same ipad, not mock location, home wifi, locked ok today. not ok in last week with mocked location and mobile data hot spot.

I feel the problem is on mocked gps location.

    • I feel the problem is on mocked gps location.

I've and zero issues using ifakelocation.

      • will try this later, thanks!

      • +1

tried again, today looks all ok with mocked location.
same ipad, home wifi, mocked with same app last week.

        everythink go back normal.

  • +1

Was getting A01 errors a few days ago, would only lock using my home state when the below method has always worked previously.

This morning updated the 7-11 app to latest version on an iPhone 8 running iOS 16.7.2

Plugged iPhone 8 into PC, used iFake location v1.70. Set location to WA using iFake (I'm in VIC). Try to lock, throws A01 error. Disable location spoofing in iFake location, waited 10 seconds then locked again and it worked fine like it always did before.

    • So did you still get the WA price?

      • Yep, locked WA price from Vic. No VPN used

    • +1

Just replying to myself, so hopefully others try this method…

Worked again for me just now, locking WA (Malaga) in Vic. This time it threw the A01 errors a few times, but with the WA price already selected on screen in 7-11 app (but not locked yet) I set the location back to Richmond, VIC using iFake, then tried to lock, threw A01 error… I then set the location back to WA again, pressed lock and it worked.

  • +6

Just sharing my experience with locking. No VPN is needed. Below using Mac or PC and an iPhone.

    1. Run GeoPort with Fuel Mode enabled
    2. Connect my device in Geoport
    3. Select my fuel type in Geoport
    4. Simulate location
    5. Open 7-Eleven (iOS) app on phone and press fuel lock
    6. After getting price in app, Stop Location in Geoport BEFORE locking price.

Live in Victoria and have locked prices in NSW (Diesel) and WA (U91). No problems.

    • Is the iOS device on wifi or mobile data?

      • +1

        wifi

    • I use this exact method although I have been using the appropriate state VPN. I'll try not using the VPN and see.

    • +1

thanks rickb, worked for me. iPhone 15 using windows Geoport. Cheers mate 🙌

  • +2

It really does seem to be hit and miss. Sometimes you get lucky. What worked for me today for an interstate lock.

    1. start iFakeLocation on Windows
    2. connect iPhone running iOS 16.5.1
    3. connect to NordVPN Perth server
    4. fake location to WA
    5. search for price
    6. stop location faking by iFL
    7. lock in price

But I tried these same steps last week and they failed

    • There's no logic to it, is there? For the life of me I have no idea why it works with no VPN for me. It works every time.

    • Can confirm this, happened with me too
