Shipping kind of kills it.. cheapest was $13 for aramex for two rolls

Becomes the same as eSun if you only want a roll. No thanks.

    I prefer eSun

    • Either are decent enough, depends on the pricing at the time.
Deals have been scarce as of late

I use no brand all the way. Barely have any problem. I tried a few rolls of ABS+ from eSun. Very disappoint. 2 rolls out of 3 have the problem of snapping into pieces right after unwind from spool.

      • Agree. I was recommended eSun when I first bought my 3D printer and had problems with clogging, snapping and diameter consistency is horrible. Since then I've been using cheap Hobbyking and Flashforge PLA and gotten much better result.

Surprise to hear. I always preferred Esun. Although I never printed Esun in ABS.

        • That's interesting. I've mainly been using Sunlu Grey PLA+ and it's been great.

I bought a roll of Flashforge Black PLA (Jaycar while I was waiting delivery of my first roll of Sunlu) and I've been on the verge of throwing it out ever since. Stringing like crazy, blobs on the surface, warping issues. It's been terrible stuff (and I paid a stupid amount for it).

          • @Abaddon: You haven't got it "dialled in" properly then. I use Flashforge PLA and have no such problems with it. Do a temperature tower and/or a retraction tower.

@Abaddon: You may need to dry your filament if it's excessive stringing.

I tried a few rolls of ABS+ from eSun.

I've only used their PLA+ and it is excellent…

  • Bought stuff from them yesterday. Was going to get some pla aswell but the extra shipping killed it for me. Worked out to be 30$ again.
