Here is a list of in stock Astute saddles:

https://www.pushys.com.au/parts/cockpit/seats/astute.html?st…

Various saddles, seems like a clearance. Everything from titanium rails to full carbon saddles (at a higher price). Most things are coloured so I guess the black ones sold out and they are trying to clear the rest.

Free delivery over $99 with exceptions.

extra 20% off with jan20

edit: linked saddle OOS but others still in stock.

is this another one of the products which are always discounted?

    • St Kilda cycles regularly has them on significant sale prices.

  • Any recommendations for an average rider on a gravel bike. Just looking for a more comfortable seat then the default one that came with my bike

    • had loads of seats over the years, just moved my beloved WTB Speed cromoly saddle from my singlespeed steel hardtail to my full suspension enduro bike. it's my favourite saddle by a LONG way!

Everyone's different. You're just going to have to try different saddles.

I've read reviews and done research and bought what seemed like a very popular saddle in the Pro Stealth, but it still caused soreness after an hour of riding for me…

I've actually found the Supacaz Ignite the most comfortable - no soreness after 2 hours+, which I didn't even know was possible - I always assumed that soreness was inevitable after a certain amount of time sitting on a saddle. I bought it for $60 on sale at Pushys, and ended up going back and buying two more!

      • I’ll have a look. Thanks

I also second the Supacaz Ignite. Got 4 on that same sale, returned 1 kept 3.

@Della you can also do your sit-bone measurement and size from there. YouTube tutorials on how to do this with a paper towel & A4 paper.

        • I’ll give that a go tonight. The Supacaz Ignite doesn’t seem like it’s available anymore which is disappointing though. Thanks.

Looks almost as comfortable as sitting on a ham slicer

Looks like it should be pointed upwards.

Have you not removed your peanus for aero gains, Fred?

I can't access the Astute website. Their social media accounts seem to have been abandoned in ~2018?

I'm guessing that might explain the sale?

    • yeah probably discontinued

    • I think the business got acquired perhaps

  • The use of these seats has proven to contribute to prostate and testicular cancer…
