Cooler Master NR200P Mini-ITX Case (Pink, Orange, Blue, Purple) $109 + Delivery ($0 VIC/WA C&C) @ PLE Computers

320

Generally around $130-$150 at other retailers. You can of course get the white / black variants cheaper but this is the first time I've seen discounts on the colourful ones.

All colours (pink, orange, blue, purple) are available for this price from PLE. Note that Umart also has blue and purple for this price, but not orange or pink.

NIce case, if only it had room for a lot of 3.5 HDDs.

I saw black at that price, never the coloured variants

I knew someone would make this comment so I pre-empted it in the post, but alas it wasn’t enough

      • There is always one… You did what you could lol

  • Great price for the colourful models.

If you don't need a window the black NR200 is $69 delivered https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08BFJ8V8C

    • With the side mesh, you can get away without bottom fans for intake.

  • Anyone building a PC using this case? I’m new to PC builds so keen to know how to get started and what all things needs to be considered

    • +3

Note this is a small case that will only fit mItx motherboards, cable management can also be tricky with small cases due to little room to route cables: a modular PSU Is recommended. MItx form factor will greatly limit your selection of with motherboard to choose, and mItx tends to be a bit more expensive than mAtx or larger boards. If Money is not an issue, and you like the look of the case, go for it. Otherwise stick with an matx size case that you like the look of with lots of room

      • They do look great - but with limited options, greater cost, and a lot of bother. I considered doing an ITX but ended up going mATX.

        ITX does look great tho!

      • Thanks !! Fair enough

    • +3

Unless you need a compact PC I'd go for a mid tower tbh. Lets you use absolutely any PSU, motherboard, CPU cooler etc rather than being stuck with ITX sized ones.

Motherboards in particular ITX gets pricy.

      • -3

Not to mention being limited by GPU sizes.

    • +1

I have my build in this case and it's very good for the price. If you really want to build an ITX, this is a very cost effective option that will leave your options open in terms of hardware. I have an MSI 3090 gaming X trio in mine which is quite a large card. Going forward you will be able to fit most cards in this case.

    • And you need an SFX PSU

      • You can get away with a small ATX PSU depending on the rest of your parts, but SFX definitely makes it easier and cleaner.

  • I have a white one and it is fantastic.

Although the price really does add up building with mini-ITX components.

    Best case, period.

Will never go back to mATX.

        HP EX950 2TB
        Noctua U12A
        EVGA 3080 FTW3
Noctua 25mm fans at top, 15mm fans at bottom for intake into GPU.

    • What's the difference between mATX and Micro ATX and Mini ATX/ITX? I googled but get conflicting information

      • +1

I replied to your comment below. But ATX (full size) mATX (mid size) and ITX (mini) are all different standard sized motherboards. There's also E-ATX. Each of the standard sizes have different types of configurations, PCIE slots etc.

Because ITX is smaller than mATX or ATX, and also has less PCIE slots and rear I/O ports, usually the larger (mATX or ATX) motherboards will not fit in a case designed for an ITX sized motherboard.

That's the general gist of it.

  • This case has a cult following online, and rightly so.

Mini ITX is the way to go, and a case like this still allows a full size GPU.
There are stacks of YouTube video's showing builds in this case… and such awesome value.

I went for a plain black with mesh side (I've never been into the whole glass panel 'show it off RGB' thing).

Awesome thermals, great performance, and with Noctua fans almost dead silent.

  • awesome case, but i wish it is a little bit taller so it can fit some mATX boards.
also the case is so close to be invertible if the front IO button can be oriented upside down since I prefer put my case on the left side of my set up so I have all the room for my mouse.

  • Recently discovered this case on youtube I think, I like the look of it a lot.

  • Hi sorry if this a dumb question. Can I transplant a Hp elitedesk 8300 internals Into this case?

    • +2

Unfortunately not. Non standard motherboard, power supply and power cables.

    • You're best off ebaying the 8300 and buying new stuff sadly.

  • Is this case better than this Chopin case?
    https://www.mwave.com.au/product/in-win-chopin-miniitx-case-…
The Chopin comes with a 150W power supply but this one deosn't have a power supply? What's the maximum power supply I can put in this case?

    • What do you intend to power with a 150W PSU? Lol

The NR200 can fit a 750W SFX PSU.

      • The Chopin I linked above is a Mini-ITX so that means it's the same as this case? But when I check the dimensions I see the Chopin is smaller at 244Hx84Wx217H vs this case at 292Hx185Wx376H. They are both Mini-ITX cases?

        • +1

Yep. Mini ITX is just a form factor for a type of motherboard size. Mini ITX cases are all of different shapes and sizes - many smaller or larger than the NR200.

Might be worthwhile just having a quick Google or YouTube search on "what is an ITX case" or "mATX vs ITX" or similar.

          Good luck!

          • @CrushJelly: Thanks mate I just did some quick research on the 3 main sized motherboards and came up with the following:

ATX 305x244mm - supports 4 RAM modules, 7 PCIE slots
Micro ATX 244x244mm - supports 4 RAM modules, 4 PCIE slots (best value)
Mini ITX 170x170mm - supports 2 RAM modules, 1 PCIE slot

Quick question, is a Mini ITX case (like this deal) a good choice for video editing, or should I go up a size to a Micro ATX? I don't play games, I mainly use PC for MS Office and occasional video editing. I hate big towers. At the moment I'm using this Chopin but it died today and won't boot. I really like small PC's

@[Deactivated]: In terms of mini ITX cases, the NR200 is slightly larger than the average, but it has VERY good airflow and cooling capabilities.

Look up YouTube videos of "Machines and More". Plenty of NR200 content from him.

You can see from my builds that it is incredibly compact but also extremely efficiently optimised in terms of airflow. Intake from rear and bottom, exhaust from top.

              • @CrushJelly: Thanks again, you've helped a lot. I've been on PC Picker playing around with what components I can put into this case. You sound like you're familiar with the case and having done previous builds using this case, I'd be happy to pay you a fee to help with my own build. If it's OK I'll DM you when I'm ready to build, hopefully within 4-5 weeks. I got my Chopin PC working again but want to build a new PC and want to use the orange or blue NR200P case

@[Deactivated]: Glad to hear you've revived the Chopin!

Yeah sure, just message when you want to build a PC and I can help you figure out what components.

There's a question above that asked about a parts list. I'll reply to that in a minute.

  • Are these cases better than this case (NR200), what's the difference?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/674274

The "P" signifies the glass side panel. "P" models actually come with both glass AND mesh side panels, so you can choose which one you prefer. The NR200 non-P costs less because it has just one less glass panel.
