I believe that next year our In-Store team will be expanding, leading to more account managers, more available locations, more Cashback to be earned ;)

Just going to get more Coco I guess.

  • coffee one didn't track, hopefully this one does..

the earlier bubble tea promotion didn't track for me, even though I did everything correctly…

    • I did mine on the last day and it tracked immediately. I guess it was luck of the draw - some people got theirs tracking immediately while others took a few days. You're the first person I've seen who didn't get their Cashback completely tho.

    • Same here, didn’t track … 3 transactions. :( feel like click and bait.

      • Considering this one was my first ever shopback purchase, maybe it is a click and bait? I'm hoping my later shopback uses aren't going to have any issues now :(

        • No chance, just seems their tracking isn't good for some stores. I claimed alongside 5 of my colleagues at the same place all tracked instantly (I've accumulated over $1k of cashback, colleagues various amounts).

        • There you go. Did you pay through a phone or literally using your credit card?

            • @wl au: Yea it seems quite annoying. I use Google Pay and have only done this once and it worked well. I'm doing another one today, I'll see how it goes!!

Hey @vSchweetz, could I ask if you submitted a Missing Cashback Claim for our team to chase?
If a debit card was used, this might help explain things:

At this time, ShopBack In-Store transactions can only be tracked through a Credit Card linked to your ShopBack account.
This is due to ShopBack not yet being integrated with EFTPOS as a Card Provider.
As some Debit Cards route through EFTPOS, these transactions are not trackable.

We kindly ask that if you wish to pay using a linked Debit Card, that you link this card to an Apple/Google Pay Wallet and use your Phone/Smartwatch to pay for the order In-Store (this payment will not go through EFTPOS, resulting in seamless order tracking).

      • Thanks I've submitted a cashback claim - will try using Google Pay this time around, fingers crossed!

        • Awesome, send me a DM if you have any issues :)

          • @gotyourback: I paid for mine using linked card via Apple Pay, after boosting the specific store, and it still didn't track. I am with ING, which is a Visa Debit Card, but paying via apple pay would have been a 'credit' transaction.

            • @dammit: I'm sorry about that, it's definitely not ideal.
Would you be able to send me a DM with your account info so I can check on the status of this investigation?

@wl au: With In-Store Cashback, the waiting period is indeed faster than online Cashback.
The only thing is, you need to make a subsequent visit for your initial Cashback to be approved.
This is to incentivise customer loyalty, so it benefits both the customer & the store providing a Cashback incentive.

              Eg.

              • I go to "The Moo" in Cabramatta today & receive $2 in Pending Cashback.
              • This Cashback will remain 'Pending' until I visit again and make a subsequent order.
              • I re-visit "The Moo" in Cabramatta in 3 weeks & receive another $2 in Pending Cashback, but the original $2 from my first order will now be 'Approved'.

The Pending timeframe will simply be dependant on your time between each visit.
Any In-Store Bonuses ($5 Bonus, etc) will not require a subsequent visit for the Cashback to be Approved.
I hope I've explained this well enough haha.

      • I used Google Pay and my tracking was perfect. I didn't realize this was the preferred payment method for this, but I sure am happy I have all that set up now :)

      • +1

That explains! I used physical master debit card. There wasn’t any warning at the ShopBack in-store procedure.

    • +2

mine didn't track either. I followed the steps to the T; I lodged a missing cashback claim and haven't heard back…

      • Took them 8 days for them to get back to my claim.

      • Update: I lodged a missing cashback request after no tracking or cashback received, after a few weeks they did come good and credited me the $6. This is for the 100% off bubble tea deal from a few weeks ago.

  • Why was canberra listed? I dont see canberra supported for in-store cashback

    • +2

Scroll to the bottom. It's there.

      • Appreciated. I was looking at in store in general and it said coming for canberra.

Do you know how exactly this work? The participating store send my card number to shopback so they can track and give cashback?

        • I'm not sure as I have only ever used Cashback once and that was for the bubble tea purchase. I'm sure there is sufficient information online if you'd like to find out.

  • +4

To everyone complaining that Canberra isn't listed - scroll to the bottom, Coco Fresh Canberra is listed.

Bubble tea didn't track last time https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/668649, and cashback claim has been "under investigation" since 3 December.

    • +2

I'm in the same situation (although for some other cafe) despite following all the instructions to a t

Used the bubble tea deal last time and my wife and I both did not track.

Submitted the missing claim and heard nothing still.

    • Mine tracked instantly after the purchase (literally), was the right credit card on file used?

  • Same here, use the CBA credit card for the bubble tea deal at CoCo then waited for a week, it still didn't track, submitted the missing claim and still waiting for the response since 9th Dec. Just feel a bit hesitant to take this type of offer again :( worry that it won't be tracked again!

  • Didn't track with my cba cc either and no response to claim either, tried ANZ for the deal in the second week and it was fine. I've DMed gotyourback to see whether my claim was received…

    • Thanks to Shopback support and GotYourBack, my first tracked.

Bubble tea $6 promo - CBA cc, tracked after ticket, Pending at the moment (only tracked today)

With my ANZ card I have tracked immediately on two occasions. Cafe promo (shopped 12/12/21) is Confirmed in my Shopback acc cos I see some people were asking how long that takes.

  • The first time I didn't hit boost right before - it's tied specifically to the store location. The other times i did boost and it tracked no problem.

  • What is considered a snack & dessert?

I want to buy some bubble tea but I'm not sure if it's eligible :(

    • Anything with boost option should work.

      • Boost only shows for the store not the individual products.

        • You said you wanted to get bubble tea at a bubble tea store…?

          • @Sheng: I never said anything about a bubble tea store. I was going to a normal store nearby me which happened to sell bubble tea, I just wasn't sure if it would be considered a snack & dessert.

I ended up getting it and it worked tho, thanks for trying to help.

            • +1

@Zackeroo: If I'm not wrong, Shopback doesn't get info on what you actually buy in-store, so you can get whatever you want.

Which you've sort of already found out anyway! :)

              • @jennkei: YUP!! I'm happy I just went for the purchase and found that out :)

    • +1

You can buy whatever you want from the store listed.

  • Just check and my welcome bonus from Coco got confirmed. Going to back later ana get my 66c haha

  • I used a credit card at Coco and did not track either. Logged a case and no response. Seem hit and miss.

    tracked instantly! nice job OP

  • Be sure to check before boosting and paying. Some stores imposes min $10, card surcharge to pay by credit card, no google pay

  • I have a question???

I have three time boost purchased from the same store ( $6 , $5, $5 cashback each boost) every time purchase it tracked instantly with 60 cent bonus and $6 or $5. Always two transactions notification together appeared on my app.

However all of these three bonus none of them approve at all it said Pending even through it take more than 14 days. My three transaction none of them approved yet. The question is how long my bonus boost should be approved??? I don’t care about 10% regular cashback if customer come back to buy again by 18 Mar 22 you will receive 10% cashback that on pending too. l am concern about boost bonus that ShopBack create the challenge. I can’t create the boost bottom it from ShopBack system time to time appear.

Everyone face this issue??? I support to get all approved boost bonus because the timeframe longer than 14 days and of course l didn’t void or cancelled the transaction because l brought in store and already drank them all, paid with my MC card link to my ShopBack account. I know this store purchased is beta. How to claim my boost cashback to get approved???

  • @gotyourback - my cashback didn't track from the last deal for bubble tea. No response from CX team on my ticket for 3 weeks now.

    What do you suggest?

  • +1

    Cheers OP, and Shopback/gotyourback!

  • Keen to hear when anyone else receives tracking. I did the boost and then paid at Coco Wolli Creek , couple of hours later still no tracking.

    • It's working fine with me. But not at wolli creek. I did several times and every transaction tracked well. Definitely way faster than online purchases.

  • +1

CoCo fresh tea & juice Hurstville store is a complete fail, there's 20c surcharge, and the toppings are bare minimum.

Compare to the CoCo store at Westfield Myer CBD, no CC surcharge, and the drink you'll literally be choking on the toppings.

  • I’ve just had to lodge a missing cashback report for both my ShopBack and my girlfriend too, we followed instructions completely and paid using different banks cards. This is the second time it didn’t work for coco Wolli creek.

    • Same problem with me at Coco world square!
