To get you in the festive spirit, we’re giving away 250,000 free public transport travel vouchers.
To promote a safe return to public transport and reignite a passion for our city, you’ll be able to grab the gift of travel for a range of events and attractions throughout December and January.
This covers all public transport in Victoria that travels to the CBD, including:
Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses
Regional trains, coaches and buses50,000 vouchers will be up for grabs for each of five different event categories such as Christmas events, galleries and attractions, dining, performing arts, and shopping. Vouchers will be available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
The vouchers will be available from 16 December, for travel from 18 December and will be emailed to you, so you can print, or display it on a valid device. The voucher will only be valid for your nominated day of travel.
While travelling on public transport this summer please remember, you must wear a fitted face mask covering your nose and mouth and to check in every time you see QR codes at stations and stops and while you travel on trains, trams, and buses.
Due to the high volume of website activity, we are currently experiencing difficulties with applications for free travel vouchers over the Christmas and New Year period.
Please try again later.
What do they mean by display the voucher on a 'valid device'? I'm assuming it just means on any electronic device such as a smart phone?
