    • No, there is no option to do so.

      • +1

I just signed up, and yes, it asks you if you have moved in yet. If you say no, you can choose the date you want it activated.

        • Odd, I didn't get that option

        • Is that after entering your payment details?

          • +1

@ValuexHunter: I don't remember the order. The question was have you moved in yet? You say no. Then you choose the date.

            • @[Deactivated]: @skylex Ah, that would explain why I didn't get it. Sorry, didn't read your comment correctly.

  • 100/20 not available on FTTN even my FTTN can handle it

    • +2

Careful. I negged for this reason too and got downvoted to the point my legitimate negative vote got removed from the deal. Negative votes should not be removed by the community.

    • +1

Some people on FTTN sign up for 100 and get less, so complain. Solution? Not offer it to anyone on FTTN.

      • My FTTN can handle 100 Mbps quite easily - https://ibb.co/yQnSkv2

And you say Not to offer to anyone on FTTN? Dude, people like you are greedy on FTTP where we cant get 100 Mbps on FTTN? Imagine you're on FTTN, you would be raging the exact same reason as I said here. Read the Maximum Line Rate very very carefully in that screenshot, that right. Now tell me why Belong can't offer it? ALL OTHER PROVIDER GIVE ME THE OPTION TO ORDER 100 MBPS BUT NOT BELONG. Belong is the only one and oddest company out of everyone out there. I will be with Telstra very shortly after this crap Swoop Broadband, as Telstra lets me order 100 Mbps. I hope Belong don't survive

        • Belong must of had too many complaints due to the various wiring distances from each property to the node. Instead of dealing with it on a case by case basis Belong has done a blanket 100/20 ban for FTTN. Telstra have done the same thing in the past and are now re-allowing 100/20 over FTTN.

        • +1

Dude, woah, sweet, umm chill? Not people like me. People like Telstra, and by extension, Belong. Telstra and Belong have a problem. That problem is people complaining. Their solution to that problem is to simply not offer it to anyone on FTTN. To Telstra (and Belong) the problem of people complaining about their FTTN connection not quite reaching 100 no longer exists. The other issue being the ACCC fining them for not delivering advertised speeds.

  • I wonder how many people would sign up to this plan for 1 month only Only to get the

    Free Modem

    • Not many, hopefully. Most people should BYO modems and go with Swoop Broadband offer for 2 months free.

      • The Swoop offer is over. Origin was better. They gave away a $250 voucher, and you only had to stay for 45 days. I'd say Belong's $80 mobile kit is worth more than the router.

        • Belong's $80 mobile kit

actual value is kinda $15 as we can get Kogan 90 days for $15 anyway
is there any other good NBN deals with free months ?

          • +1

@bazingaa: I sold mine for $40 previously. Meanwhile, couldn't sell the router for $20 delivered. Not worth selling it for less.

Not much for NBN, other than Aussie. There's also Voda and TPG both offering free months on mobile data though. Only minor catch being the need to return the modem.

If you are signing up for this, there's also free $100 Woolworths voucher to be had: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/670311

            • @[Deactivated]: Are you sure the $100 is stackable? Since it's a campaign from a separate channel it might not stack with the offer in this post

              • @CoronavirusVaccine: Not sure as in I have done it, but if you use the link, it shows you available Belong plans. It's basically like Finder and Whistleout. Anyway, the Belong plans it shows include the free month.

                • @[Deactivated]: Thank you, please keep us posted if it worked. I am sitting out of this one as already signed up to the Origin Energy internet - but it would be useful to keep this in the pocket for future reference.

                  • @CoronavirusVaccine: The $100 deal expires today, so I won't be using it. I plan to sign up to Belong on the 2nd of Jan. It usually takes them four days to connect you, but just to be safe, I'll order after the 1st. That will give me Jan and Feb free.

I couldn't actually sign up for Origin, I keep getting an error every time I try. I couldn't even get passed the first page. It would just give me an error, and their support was of no help.

I'm currently using the Swoop two free months of gigabit. After that, another free month from Aussie. I might try TPG or Voda mobile internet after that. Both are giving away their first month free.

                    • @[Deactivated]: What a great time to be able to take advantage of these promotions!

                    • @[Deactivated]: Once you've signed up, just ask them to expedite it. Mine was done the next day

                      • @prhino: I did. It still took four days. It was likely just when they were planning to do it anyway.

Hi - if anyone wants some free belong mobile data send me a pm with your number and I will send some. I am switching providers and have 180gb belong data that i will lose.

    Thanks

    • pm send and thank you.

  • trying to sign up to Belong NBN but stuck at the mobile verification step - the system doesn't send me sms code. Anyone have the same issue?

  • Is this easy to cancel? I noticed someone mentioned they were billed after they left?

    https://whrl.pl/RgjcfD

  • Still waiting to be activated on their nbn and its been 2 weeks. Very poor support service, no contact number, chat, just email and wait 12-24 hours to hear back with text message wtf.

    • are you changing ISP or is it a first installation ?

  • did anyone cancel existing belong nbn at end of month and sign up again next month? will this disqualify for this offer?

    • i cancelled my nbn connection last month and cs confirmed with me my service had been disconnected. but somehow my nbn broadband is still working

  • +1

    A dumb question maybe,
I got active NBN and BYO modem. Say if I sign up with Belong on 2/1/22, generally how long does it take them to get me connected?

Thanks in advance for any inputs

    • I was connected same day from memory

      • Good to know! Thanks very much for your reply.

I'll give it a go tomorrow to maximize the offer and see how soon they can get me connected.

PS: I asked Belong CS the same question via their online chat, they say 2-5 business days. I guess I'll just try to hassle them via online chat and FB messenger to expedite the whole process tomorrow!

        • I came here to post a similar question and found your comment. What is the plan are you getting ?

          • @bazingaa: I'd think it's too good to pass and I'll sign up later today. A bit hard to predict when they can get me connected, given public holidays and weekends. Do have plan B, just in case if there is any downtime.

            • @ja912son: Yep, I just signed up and it says "Activation in progress". Looks like we may need to wait until the modem is arrived. I have connected my router to NCD and WAN is still down.

            • @ja912son: Update: It is working now with my BYO router.

              • @bazingaa: Thanks for the update.
I suppose you signed up for 100Mbps one. What do you think about it, comparing, say with Aussie?

                • @ja912son: Yep, got the 100 Mbps one. It is working well for me on FTTC and I think speed is 100/20. Downloaded some games yesterday and no complains here. Today I got a SMS with the tracking number for the router.

                  • @bazingaa: Hi mate,
Thanks for your reply. I'm on FTTC too! I'm on my plan B trying out Aussie 100/40 plan for last couple of days. To be honest, not too impressed. On the speed test wise, it's great on paper, constantly hitting 100mbps/38mbps mark, but I can't realy tell much difference compared with Felix 4G which was 20/20mbps.

Good to know they flick the switch pretty fast. That's a plus.

                    • @ja912son: I was too on the Felix before this, but I was getting around 10 during peak the time, so this is like night and day. I was downloading from Steam and got 10-12 MBps constantly :D

                      • +1

@bazingaa: Geez, I'll eventually go back to Felix once these freebies run out. I normally don't do much downloading and can't really tell about that. But we do a lot of online streaming and Felix just does it fine. By the way, on Felix, I can get 19/14mbps quite consistently and I'm about 1.2km away from nearest Vodafone tower.

  • has anyone been able to have more than 1 RSP on their nbn fttp house connection? belong online chat service said i could only have 1 RSP and if i went through with the order the existing nbn service would be cut off. I told her that ntd can support up to 4 connections but she wont listen and said contact nbn

    • I had Belong and Voda connected at the same time without issue. Belong will just connect you on the next available port. Why would you even ask them that? The only ISP I have used that will let you choose the port was MyRepublic. The rest will just connect you on the lowest numbered available port.

    • yea. i think they got told by Telstra that there can only be one active connection. my AB connection was kicked off by Telstra when I join them.
