  • No idea what Drimtel is like, but there is no contract so please try it and report back :)

(Alas I am still on a contract with SuperLoop).

  • For what its worth or not.

Is this a fortune favouring the brave?

Its a new service only started 1 month ago according to this

    https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/drimtel-com-au-revie…

I am posting only for others to consider and evaluate themselves.

Could be a great deal, just for me I am going to give it a miss.

    • Not sure how accurate the results are. I put ozbargain.com.au into that website and they assessed it as questionable, and the domain creation date of Tuesday 2nd, April 2024 12:00 am.

The 25/10 deal is terrible, $49.95 every day with Fubar

    • Yes, agreed the regular prices are high at DrimTel, but the promotional price is at a good discount for churners.

  • Three months is hardly worth it considering there's not much feedback to go on , then there's the possibility of shitty connection and horrible customer service !

  • Comparing to Flip, it’s about the same unless you go on the 100/20.

  • A couple of things, going by the CIS:
    - you can have either CGNAT (free), or Static public IP for +$10/month. There doesn't seem to be a free Dynamic public IP option.
    - there is NO 30 day notice period needed upon cancellation. You just lose any remaining credit for the current billing period.

    • I see many small RSPs doing this - either CGNAT or static IP for a fee.

Also I assume there's no IPv6 support either?

      • IPv6 not mentioned, so you're likely correct.

Only contact is via email no phone or chat.

    • Big no no for me

Agree Im a serial six month churner but this one lacks to much contact detail.

    • They do have a customer support line.

      • Web site has no number listed.Has "send a quick emai" If there is a contact number there it must be hidden or I need new glasses. Give them a miss

      • Tried to call on this number. No luck

Edit: I got a call back from a person based in Australia and he had given excellent information as below:
          - They do not spend much on their advertisements and hence not popularly known.
          - They donate 50% of the money to the Australian NGOs.
          - Their customer care for financial support and administrative support is from Australia. For non operating hours, the service is outsourced from Asia.
          - He did say these discounted plans will be be withdrawn in next two day.

I hope this helps to make decision. I am convinced and planning to switch to this provider.

Saw following message after signed up:
By choosing us, you’re helping us spread the word about Type 1 Diabetes and JDRF Australia a leading not-for-profit who we support by donating 50% of our profits.

  • I just wonder how much work (and cost) does it take to convince both my hundreds of neighbours and DGtek (or similar) to cover my area in addition to existing FTTP NBN…

  • Anyone pulled the trigger with these guys?
