  • I tried a few times because I didn't think it had worked. Got one 50+5 about an hour ago. Got a second one a few mins ago, so far only the bonus 5. I'm confident the 50 will come through. Will be interesting to see what happens, I think there were another 2. I didn't intend to buy that many, but it's not like I won't spend it, I'll just use the bonus ones first.

    Edit: Actually the $50 was attached to the order successful email, the first one it came through as a separate email.

    • I see that 2 of the Woolies and the 1 ebay I had unsuccessful emails. I didn't receive gift cards for those. The other 2 I didn't receive emails saying they were unsuccessful, I ended up receiving them later.

        I didn't contact Prezzee at all, just patiently waiting and keep checking my email like OP suggest and suddenly those two emails just came in. Just to be clear that I do got an order number underneath the error page, like this:

        Something went wrong and we could not complete your request.

    yep f me..it's the 49 spend on amazon, but didn't realise it's prime and mastercard only..that's what sleep deprivation did to me..

  • Sharing my experience in case it helps anybody understand if their own experience is "normal" (although I see many different experiences by others).

    Tried to purchase Woolies $50 egift card around 10:30am. First attempt had an error but my card was charged. Subsequent attempts also failed, but I wasn't charged and I received emails for each attempt advising the order wasn't processed due to error.

    Emailed support around 11.45am (offer was still available, I checked before emailing) advising of the issue.

    Received the $50 egift card around 1:20pm but no bonus $5. I know it can take time but many had mentioned they instantly received the $5 so contacted support again around 2:00pm asking if the $5 bonus is still expected (as by this time the offer was no longer available).

    Received the $5 bonus around 2.10pm.

    • @tbone74, do you mind the share their support email?

      I sent email to [email protected] but got error message. "Address not found. Your message wasn't delivered to [email protected] because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail."

      • That's the email address I successfully used, as per the error message when the order attempt failed. I see it mentioned by others also. Not sure why you might be getting that error.

    Same experience as a few ppl here. I just got both the Woolies gc and bonus gc after it errored out when attempting to purchase around 11:00 am

    I tried ordering but it failed out.

    I tried three other times which also failed so I gave up.

    I now have 4 x $50 gift cards and 1 x $5 card. 3 of those card I don’t even want.

    Oh well I’ll never use their shithole website ever again. What an absolute shambles..

    • Do a chargeback for the other ones? I'm in a similar scenario - got charged three times, although I've only received an email for one. The argument is that we only tried to purchase again because the earlier attempts failed.

      EDIT: Although, should probably be contacting their help portal first to argue this case to them. If they don't agree, then try a chargeback.

    For those that already received the $50 GC but not the $5 bonus GC
    the bonus GC will not automatically added to the Prezzee wallet (account)

    It will send as a separate email with the $5 bonus giftcard
    and you need to click "Add to wallet" to add to your account (in email)

    If you are using Gmail, the bonus GC email might land into "Promotion"

  • I didn't bother contacting support after getting the error. I received the $50 gift card and $5 bonus a bit later in the day.

    Not a perfect experience, but with servers under load with the event, understandable.

    Tried twice this morning around 10am, both failed. Called them no one answered. Emailed them no one replied. now received two WWS GC and one $5 bonus. I sent them another email requesting a refund or another bonus $5 as this is not our fault. Their system failed so they should take responsibility. I think we should all do this. at least we shall try. Or we shall never buy anything from them ever again. not a nice experience. not sure if they will ever reply to me. With this customer service and a terrible system, I'll never buy anything from them.

    Got an email at 6pm that one of the GC went though…does that mean I won’t get the $5 as the limit is probably reached by now.

    Many hours after the site reported my payment was unsuccessful they sent an email saying the order is confirmed. But 5 hours after that there is still no gift card.

      even worse, they charged me twice with no gift card at first + error screens, then they just sent me an email with $50 gift card (no extra $5 at all), not happy at all as it sounds like a bait

      • Yes, I remember you could not buy it when all bonus cards were run out before.

        • well, I do believe I was earlier than lot of those who got the gift cards, it’s just their system was overwhelmed and some gonna be unlucky

  • I think at least Prezzee refunded correctly. My card had 3 pending purchase records, but only 2 of them are really effective after I calculated the balance on it.

  • Prezzee really stuffed up BIG time! Paypal payment failed multiple time but fund on credit card was on hold. Customer support is helpless. They seems to be set up to run only small promotion. Sorry to neg to warn others.

    Bought the Woolies $50 cards yesterday morning, finally got them in the afternoon, but still chasing up the $5 bonus card

    • Same here, have a support mail thread going for the bonus on the order. Last reply they fixed the delivery on the $50 woolies grocery card with apologies, but no mention of the $5 bonus. Order was submitted at 1030am so definitely among the first few to be eligible. Will keep shooting out reminder every 12 hours.

      • Same here. Ordered 10:29am. Received error that said they had been notified and would resolve, so I didn't chase it up. $50 came through at 3.56pm. Still no $5. I emailed support last night.

        • I got a response over the weekend asking for my order number (as if it isn't already attached to my email address). Today they said they are looking into it and will get back to me in 24-48 hours. As if I'm the only one who has raised it. It shouldn't be this hard.

      • Update: have sent them 2 more reminders but no response at all. I dont see this getting resolved easily. Lucky few who got the $5 bonus should have got a few lottery tickets that day ;)

    I am waiting $5 bonus more than 1 day and talked to support but no immediate fix. I have to wait…..

  • My partner finally received the Woolworths $5 bonus about 90 minutes ago. This was after a couple of emails with support over the weekend. Mine came much earlier but I also contacted support much earlier. Whether that's the reason or just coincidence, who knows?

    I'm going to raise a credit card dispute if they don't reply/fix this by tomorrow. Its either:

    1. false advertising (the bonus was available at the time I ordered) or
    2. a deliberate ploy to delay confirmations until after the bonus ran out or
    3. a cock up which they should graciously admit and fix.

    In any event, to get a "payment failed" notice and then later (after you have potentially ordered again) reinstate the payment, is dodgy, if not illegal practice.

        • Had this and a previous "sorry for the delay" message. Still nothing actually being done, just excuses and delays until we forget about it I suspect.

        • My partner had the exact same 2 emails from support. The $5 bonus came through about 2 days later.

  • So I noticed the extra attempted purchases (in a pending state) I made have been removed from my CC account, so it seems they are definitely working through them. Haven't heard from them yet about the missing $5 bonus though. I suspect they're working through them - just a pity they haven't kept us updated through the support requests (or even sent a blanket email to all those affected) of what they're doing.

      I think you would have got it without emailing them, as was the case with me. I find it easier to wait a week or two before emailing
