They've survived being bland and terribly priced this long, I don't know why that would change all of a sudden but we can only hope it has. Then maybe decent burger joints will take over
Will never understand the Grill'd hate.
The prices are only slightly higher than a crappy McDonalds burger.
The quality is much better than what you'd get at most RSLs or pubs where you'd be paying much more.
Feel like the biggest issue is some people expect their burgers to be massive greasy slop in buns like you get from a fish and chip shop. That's not who they are (or what me and their fans want them to be).
Been eating there for nearly 20 years. Will continue to.
I think I was pretty clear. The issue is they are bland and overpriced. I've never had such bland burgers ever.
Thanks to grilled we lost good burger stores. RIP Jus burgers for example.
@justtoreply: Why “thanks to Grill’d”? If they’re as bland and overpriced as you claim, if anything that would have worked in your “Jus Burger”’s favour?
@Mike Nolan: Small store (or two) killed by big chain.
People are idiots. They buy from big chains without considering what is over the road and far superior for only $1 more.
@justtoreply: Grill'd existed before Jus Burgers and have a similar history of starting with 1 store, but unlike Jus, Grill'd was a success and gradually expanded to what it is today.
Also, I wouldn't call Grill'd a big chain compared to Maccas and HJ, which do serve slop (at a cheaper price, but slop nonetheless).

The way I saw it, Grill'd came in with high prices and then everyone thought oh, if they can charge that much then so can we, resulting in higher prices across the board, and in the order of 100% markup, (not in line with inflation).
There is also the way they operate and treat/pay staff and rort government incentives. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16008530/redir
That said, Yea I agree. Not much more than Macca's but way better. Especially with 20% off via gift vouchers and free side/burger after X visits.
I miss the "free" burgers with donation to Polished Man
@StevieRay: I miss when the supported Movember back when it was still trendy to support mens health.
The value of their food has gone down compared to a few years back. The size of their burgers has decreased. The patty is no where close to the size of the bun.
Question for mods: Out of curiosity, how did my post get marked as expired and closing of comments?
Not a mod, but posts auto expire if not marked as "Long Running".
Note: If an expiry date is not set on a deal post, it will be automatically marked as expired after 45 days (90 days for freebies). It is the poster's responsibility to either set an expiry date, or report the deal to have it marked as 'long expiry' (never auto expire).

Can you purchase these with the TCN Good Food (which I have found works in there)?
Probably.
When I used a different card to attempt to purchase a Grill’d gift card during the last deal, the MCC of the Grill’d website was reported as 5812.
Confirming that it works, just did it now.
Can these be used in conjunction with in app deals? If yes, then this makes the buy 1 get 1 free meat free mondays an even better deal :O
can't see why not, when checking out you just put the voucher code plus pin in as payment so i would say it's treated the same as cash/credit card etc
Anyone else feel like these types of deals are a leading indicator of impending……or is it just me.
