Good price here. RRP 549. Been looking for a good mesh system in wifi 6 to go with my new Amazon fire stick 4k max. Can't find much info on it as it seems to be a brand new model but I guess it suits between the x20 and x60 (currently $50 cheaper than buying the x20 triple unit kit though)

Do these 3 connect to my ASUS router or do I need to buy a TP Link router too?
If the Asus is just a router bin it and use these as your router. If it's a modem bridge it depending on your ISP and internet type.
Keep the Asus if you want to use a VPN server or DDNS from it and configure the TP-Link Deco as the Wi-Fi access point. If you don't care about that plugin the TP-Link Deco to the nbn NTD or VDSL2 modem.
I love my Deco x68 but the firmware needs a slight update.
You should be able to choose 2.4 or 5 as a minimum for each device, as it doesn’t always choose 5ghz, when you know it should be.
I think they updated the M5and M9s recently though to allow for this.so this or the Google mesh one?
I don't really want to muck around with zillions of settings, or stream 4k to multiple TVs simultaneously.
Any advice?
I got no idea. I read that Google has limited features. The m5 and m9 seemed highly regarded but not wifi6. These ones have 3 gigabit ports on each but Google doesn't have any. That's important for me to connect hardware. These have wpa3 compared to the insecure tenda MW3 I have now
Thanks, good point. That would indeed be handy. I just don't want to have to muck around trying to fix things all the time. It's so confusing!
There are so many options, there is also the Amazon Eero 6 for a similar price. Not much research avail on the X55 but thank you for sharing.
Please forgive the autospell. It's late
