I just purchased it with the student discount (thanks OP and Pricebeat!!). It gives you a unique code and says it's single use, but I just generated it again and tested with a random item to the cart and the code went through. Trying to get the code on mobile browser didn't work but the app did.
Can it be used instore?

It seems that Eufy has no monthly fees unlike other doorbell brands, but also if you attempt to run them locally only, they shit the bed.
Overall unsure if I even really benefit from having one of these? What do you guys get out of having them?

I've got one, just use locally to record and it rings my phone when i'm out, they are great, can talk to the couriers to leave parcels etc great picture quality, can also set it to record when motion is detected, so it records even when the bell it not pressed and you can view on your phone. when someone presses the doorbell my phone goes off with a doorbell sound and i can see them straight away. doesn't have any fees etc like the other units.
What do mean records locally.. so how do you access videos?
VPN? Reverse Proxy? Hell, expose a port if you hate privacy.

Yes you can but keep in mind that Eufy is still flawed until they fix the bug.
Which bug sorry? Was looking at eufy for home cams or even the pan and tilt soft of plug into PowerPoint ones that you can chuck onto a book shelf.
@rooon: thanks. I suppose this isn't an issue if no homebase? I.e. i bought the 2k pan and tilt indoor security camera one to try out today.. haven't go tthe doorbell or the actual 6 months/12 month cameras….. although i did hear about the concerns about privacy with that recent breach of privacy earlier in 2021…. might just turn them off when at home, or walking around the house naked LOL
