Oral-B Pro 2000 Black Electric Toothbrush + Travel Case is also $49

    • +1

Was just about to say this! Great deal

    • Thanks, ordered

  • +4

    Same price as Shaver Shop.

  • +1

    Nice

  • +1

Amazon price matching Shaver shop maybe

    • Shaver shop price is $1 short to qualify for free shipping.

      • Add something from here to bump it up past $50.

    • Thanks for this report. Bought @shaver shop with nose trimmer $0.95 and SB 8% back. đź‘Ť

      • +1

Could you send the link for that one? Isn't that we need more than $1 to qualify?
        Thanks

  • How does this compared to sonicare

  • How does it compare to the cheaper models like Oral-b Vitality? I have yet to see any difference.

    • +2

This has 2 modes. Sometimes I use sensitive mode as it's less powerful. Or switch back and fourth between modes just for the fun of it.
Also has red light pressure sensor, when you push too hard it lights up.

Not essential features but still handy

And this one feels a little thicker and nicer

      • I don't understand how you can see the red light pressure sensor when you're brushing?

        • +19

          Mirror, mirror, on the wall.

        • +7

The red light is bright, you will see it even with your eyes closed.
Anything else in the room will bounce it at you.

    • +5

This has Li-Ion battery while Vitality has NiMH battery.

Li-Ion battery should last longer (ie. >2 years) in terms of capacity degradation.

      • My vitality has Ni-Cd (Nickel–cadmium battery) printed on its body.

      • +1

I have used both. The battery on the pro2000 is way better after 1 year of use. The battery on the vitality degraded within about 6 months. Had to charge it more frequently and lasted way lesser.

The pro 2000 is simply better in every aspect, unless you want to use and throw, then vitality is alright

    • These are more powerful and give a better clean than the cheapies. IMO, it’s definitely worth paying extra.

    • This one is much better. Rotates a lot faster so cleans better also works for two weeks with one charge. At $25 for the cheap ones and $50 for this one, it's definitely worth the extra $25.

    • +2

Far better. Better battery and has a pressure sensor which I found surprisingly good. It also has a better motor but I'm not sure whether that actually means much when it comes to the quality of your clean.

It's also a lot sleaker and lighter if that's your thing.

The 2000 is basically the sweet spot for toothbrushes. It has all the things you need and none of the ridiculous features like bluetooth.

    • This one is also made in Germany

  • +1

    Cheers OP.

Bought two for myself and the missus to replace our $25 Vitality brushes.

    • You could buy one base and change the heads, they have color labeling rings just for that.

      • +11

You could do that if you don't want the wife anymore.

  • I know the deal is already posted, but the black with travel case for the same price seems like the better default option

Also, I have this toothbrush and love it, definitely a notable step up from the base level supermarket Vitality

  • good deal, bought 3

  • 5 year old too young to use something like this?

    • +2

No. Get the sensitive heads (pretty sure same as “child heads” and use the sensitive mode. This is the one to get for a child I would say.

    • 5 years old might be too young and press too hard on their gums. My kids used electric toothbrush when they are in primary schools but with the Oral B kids brush heads. So far my dentist didn’t say anything wrong with their teeth/gums.

  • Black OOS at Amazon.

    • Yep, so immediately moved across to shaver shop, with click and collect. Still in stock there, currently.

    • Still showing as in stock!

  • +1

    I'm confused with your description.

Is this the Oral B Pro 2000 or the Oral B Pro 2 2000?

    • +1

The link to the Amazon page says Oral-B Pro 2000 in the title but the first image on that same Amazon page says Oral-B Pro 2 2000 on the box cover art… lol.

    • both the same thing. technically there's no oral b pro 2000

  • +1

does this one gives feedback vibration every 30 seconds to change de area or is this only for the 5000 and up? cheers

    • +1

      yes it does

      • nice!! cheers mate, got one

  • +2

The black version includes a free travel case for the same price. You just need to click other buying options and it still has the Amazon price at $49

    • Black not available if you have a link paste it here.

      • I just clicked the above link again and chose black fine (logged in as a prime member)
Still showing as available for same price

  • Black back in stock but went with shaver shop click and collect since shopback have 8% cashback. Also got a couple other .95c items.

  • is it good for 9 year old kid ? also there are so many Oral b models. How to know that this is a good one? I can see Oral-B Pro 100 Kids Star Wars Rechargeable Toothbrush at oral b websit for kids. Anyone knows hows this one for kids ?

    https://oralb.com.au/kids/6-plus-years/

    • Just get this unless your kid refuses to brush its teeth without the Star Wars logo.

      • also there are so many Oral b models. How to know that this is a good one?

This is the entry level "good one". This brush has the same mechanics and battery as much more expensive brushes but without the useless bells and whistles.

A 9yo shouldn't have any difficulties with it.

  • Love mine, loud tho!

  • +1

Thanks OP! I got one for me and the wife! Travel case black one sounds great for work trips!

  • +2

Nice. That's Christmas shopping sorted out. Everyone will be getting an Electric Toothbrush, ha ha.

    • Functional gifts really are the best

  • +1

This or the Smart 5000 for $10 more (each)?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/662884

  • +3

Bought from Shaver Shop at this price a few months ago. I honestly don't rate it over a $30 model I found on Amazon and had for years, which was much sleeker and loads quieter, with more modes and equal cleaning efficacy.

  • This compared to the 9000 model? Not after the gimmicks just power and battery

    https://www.shavershop.com.au/oral-b/genius-9000-electric-to…

    • all you need is the cheapest model that has li-ion battery and that is the pro 2 2000. so get this deal

    • +2

Have the 9000 and do not like it. Its large, the carry case is huge and the function button is directly where your thumb sits so gets hit quite often. The extra functions are useless, so I'd go for this one if I had the choice.

      • +1

Thanks mate, just saved me $110. I cancelled my order of 9000 + 2000 (me & daughter) and got 2 x 2000's instead. The features wasn't the deal breaker but having that function button as you described, I can see that would get annoying fast. And let's be hoenst, I didn't need any of those gimmick features anyway. It seems the only step up from here is the IO model and that's a huge $ jump and different heads ($$).

  • +1

Damn paid $8 more just a month ago!

  • +2

Just be aware that this is insanely loud, not just normal-loud, but such that it wakes people up who are sleeping in other rooms of the house.

    • Agreed, it is quite loud. I ensure that the bathroom door is shut while using it, or else it can easily wake people up

  • Got Black with travel case for $49 from Shavershop eBay with my eBay plus voucher and gift card :)

  • +1

Just ordered black with travel case from Amazon. Used code max10 available on my account. Got it for $39.

    • +1

      How to get a code

      • Have to use Amazon app

      • Hi got the option to use the code on the app. Believe it is targeted….

        • Definitely targeted. Doesn’t work for me

  • -7

These Oral B brushes are so 2020! I swapped mine for Xiaomi t100 which is much lighter, quieter, and can be recharged through usb. Who wants to carry that charger base all the time?!

    • These Oral B brushes are so 2020!

Your toothbrush uses micro USB cables. That is so 2017.

Who wants to carry that charger base all the time?!

Wall charger for your toothbrush about the same size as Oral b dock. You make it out as though it's brick sized and not portable.

Battery lasts 3-4 weeks. How many times will you be away from home for such extended periods of times throughout the lifespan of an electric toothbrush? I don't even travel with my charger and I do plenty of travel for work. It's really a mute point.

  • -3

    Good, but sonic is better

  • i added a debit card into my account to get 20 bucks promo using amazon. Took my order down to 80 for two brushes.

  • Is the oscillation per minute same as the more expensive model?

  • Black with travel case back in stock

  • 8% cash back from shaver shop

    • That couldn't have lasted long…was 3.5%

      • I placed orders yesterday and today for 3.5% each time. If it was 8% it was very short lived.

  • +1

Thanks for listing, as it’s long overdue to replace Oral B Vitality for the kids, end up buying these as replacements from shaver shop with free shipping (along with black with travel case) was available as i need three of them.

  • Can I use the vitality heads for this model? Or it has its own to fit in?

  • +1

Thanks OP. Grabbed one. Good deal. Thanks

  • +1

    Thanks Op

  • Picked one up from Amazon but got 0 cashback. I thought this falls under the Personal Care category which is a 6% cashback. Anyone else who had the same experience?

    • It comes under Health and Household which is currently a 0% category unfortunately.

  • Cheers

  • Damn, ordered blue in the morning when Black was OOS. Possible to cancel the earlier order and place new? Any risk if they cannot fullfill new order?

    • If we were in the same city i would swap you a black for a blue. I ordered black just because it had a travel case, then i realized i dont travel and toothpaste will look manky on black.

  • Cheers - this toothbrush is impressive in comparison to my other oral b

  • Great electric toothbrush, youll never go manual or any other brand again.

    Lasts forever.

  • What brush heads do people use for this?

    • -1

      Toothbrush

    • they've got 8 packs half price at shaver shop - same as brush that comes with it

      • Got this too, as a bonus it turns the Black 2000 into all black if you get the black heads.

On the flip side it'll mean my daughters pink 2000 will be Pink & Black in future but oh well.

      • Cheers for the heads up!

  • +1

The pink one is currently $47.20 for those interested.

  • I can't seem to find $49 black with travel case.
