IMHO, this price is better than the 1TB $129.
My computer only have 1 NVMe so decide to straight to 2TB.

From what I learnt (might be wrong), the cache issue with the 1TB version does not impact 2TB version.

  • 1TB version deal (AU local stock)

  • ew! I got a swapped flash version this time from Amazon AU, Amazon UK one had a later DOM but it was old version. If you want good speeds just get a KC2500, A2000, 970 EVO, FC510, SN750 etc.

Anyway you can add more NVMe drives with PCIe to NVMe adapter, basically they are same but just a different form factor. I saw a small GPU on NVMe too lol.

Thanks, this is to upgrade my laptop so low temp has higher priority. Plus you can’t get price for any of other ssd.

If can wait, sn570 will have better performance (close to SN750) but it will be overkill as I dont have Gen4 PCIe socket. And Gen4 ssds are usually hot.

      • yeah no deals now, just missed the KC2500 deal 1 TB for $129 :( I am running this on PCIe 3.0 2x so not a much issue anyway.

    Amazon review at its finest

AT LEAST THEY SHOULD PROVIDE A SCREW AND ALSO A SMALL SCREWDRIVER.
I GOT NO IDEA HOW OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING IT WORKS FINE WITHOUT THE SCREW TO KEEP IT IN PLACE.
IT WAS JUST DANGLING AT A120 DEGREE ANGLE SO I REMOVED IT .NOW I WILL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR A SCREW
    GOT NO IDEA FROM WHERE,

    • Makes my day

    • I also saw that lol :D what kind of motherboard doesn't supply the screw with it ?

      • +1

        To be fair.

On Dell Optiplex 5250 All in Ones, if you order it with a 2.5inch drive, they don't supply the standoff AND the screw for the m2 slot.

  • How does this compare to the Samsung 2TB gen3 m2 nvme drive? (which was $285)

    • Worse performance/cheaper/lower temperature

      • Thank you, makes me feel better about spending at extra ~$50

  • How does this compare to the
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Crucial-NAND-NVMe-PCIe-2400MB/dp/B…
    thats about $20 cheaper?

    • From this, it says SN550 is better.
      https://linustechtips.com/topic/1345749-crucial-p2-vs-wd-blu…

      They are both mid-level SSD
WD has a better brand name.

Samsung > WD = Sandisk > Crucial > Kingston (if the same level ssd)

      • if your using this as games storage, do NVME brands even matter tbh?

        • For games, the difference will not be much.
But will use this as the main disk in future when I upgrade/buy a new PC/laptop.

Crucial P2 did a stealth change from TLC to QLC, WD Blue SN550 did a stealth change from TLC to QLC, so yeah. Take it as you will.

    • As far as I know, the 2TB version blue should still be TLC.

      • I was wrong, SN550 is also using QLC.
