  • What's everyone recommend if I was to see one?

    • +1

      Saw Glass Labyrinth last night.
1974 102 min "Print" from their library was rather worn.

Described by some in reviews as a "dream" (that Freud would love) and "I don't understand what I saw, but I liked it".

The 1970's were a very different time! Pretty psychedelic with probable incest theme & sexual content. May make some uncomfortable.
Best to let it wash over you, than try to understand.

      My first Shūji Terayama film.
A few confused viewers - I liked it.
A film that creates discussion. A sensory experience.
I've walked along streets in Japanese villages that look the same now.
      Definitely not a "Hollywood" movie!

If only seeing 1 film, maybe see one of the other films.
Search online reviews of Shūji Terayama's best movies. This is considered one of the groundbreaking films, along with Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets (1971).

All except Farewell to the Ark (1984) are 1970's films.

Seeing Pastoral Hide-and-Seek tonight & The Fruits of Passion Sunday.
