I wish the Park Hyatt in Sydney is on the list as well ;)

    • +5

Check this link. I think it is for Hyatt Au nationwide.

It is. All Hyatt’s in Australia are eligible for this sale.

The PH Sydney drops to $580 per night under this deal.

      • Thanks guys, originally I can only see a 15% off for Park Hyatt :)

      • +11

Are you telling me PH Sydney is $1160 per night..?

Edit: Holy moly it is, gota sell some kidneys to stay in PH

        • yes 1160 for weekdays low season…otherwish always 1400+
it is holy shit for this price just a non resort style 30-40 sqm hotel room…
the price is like a bug even compare to the whole world…
PH ,this level of business style hotel in the major cities of the world should be around 300-500 AUD, thats it. just like Shangrila and four season in Sydney
Melbourne's PH is around 300-400, it is fair price.

          • +3

@yl001: Park Hyatt in Sydney is very nice, I would consider it world class. Park Hyatt Melbourne is not even close to being on the same level - pretty much just a random outdated Hyatt property.

That said, neither really justify their respective price tags.

        • Yeah they primarily serve the rich and famous, people on corporate travel or people who cash in points to book a base room and then get upgraded due to status (usually earned from business travel).

        • +3

Been looking for some bargain kidneys, how much were you thinking ?

        • Corporate price is way less BTW- like $360

        • +2

PH Sydney is one of the more prestigious Hyatt locations.
Having stayed in a few around the world, the Sydney residency is… 'Nice'…
Check out Virtuoso properties if you ever do sell that body part!

          • @mickyb80: Damn, that sounds really tempting. I feel I need to book a stay just for the experience.

            • +4

              @citybargainhunter: Ha ha - enjoy!
I'm humbled by the fact I've had the opportunity of staying in some very nice properties around the world over the years.
Was once at a reasonable status level with Hyatt, and SPG, however, when SPG was bought out by Marriott I dumped the program and loyalty in favour of IHG. Never had a great experience with Marriott for some reason. Now spend most of my 'rented pillow' nights at an Intercon, as I decided to sign up as an Ambassador some years ago and they have kept my membership active. Sadly, with COVID not much travel going on…

Hyatt is now my second choice, to that of IHG, and on occasion I hit up a Preferred Hotel member also. Outside of those chains, you want to look at specialist boutiques like that of the One & Only in Wolgan Valley (not yet stayed myself, although my travel agent is always pushing for me to do a 'couples weekend there'… Now days, I fly solo!). lol

doesn't seem to show the discount for me when I try to book

    • +3

      no for Christmas and easter

        • +1

You're downvoting a deal because it isn't available the dates you want? Hilarious!

          • +1

@robbyjones: Maybe mark should do as his username suggests and stay put at home?

          • +2

@robbyjones: Nah, if you're not including Saturday. Then just say it outright. I'm not playing twenty questions. That stuff might fly if you're a discount airline. Not acceptable for a luxury hotel chain.

Look at the Little National brand - sure there's some variation but it's not insane. Deals and pricing are relatively predictable.

This is a brand-name hotel chain running out its unrentable rooms at unrentable times for the hell of it and expecting the community to go along with it.

        • -1

Naaa… me and the community made the neg go away.

    Note the conditions

fully prepaid, non refundable, can change dates within the offer period.

still a very good deal but I prefer refundable in these times.

    • where written can change dates? i try to book only written full prepaid and non refundable

      • it's on the page linked to this deal

        • Thanks! booked!

  • I can't see where you enter the code on the payment page?

    • +1

You need to enter the code on the page where you input the dates of stay and number of guests. Click down on Special Rates, select Special Offer Code and insert there. Then it will show you the offer rates (if they are available for the dates).

  • +6

Combine with the amex deal for an extra $100 off for $400 spend. Great deal

    • I thought that too, but the AMEX offer is for payments made in person at the hotel. Not valid for online payments which I assume this will be given that it is a prepaid non-refundable rate.

      • Bugger!

      • +4

Call the hotel and ask them to book it, if the booking is made by the in house reservation team it should still count. (Well it did last time I used the offer)

        • +1

Confirmed, just received email stating I redeemed the Amex offer, with a booking made over the phone.

      • Are you sure? I’ve booked heaps of pay now hotels and got the Amex deal. They still charge you when you check in.

  • Thanks op!

  • +2

Searched for some dates in Sydney, all of which were apparently not eligible. Gave up. Decent, if you can find a spot.

    • Looks like they took away most if not all of the weekends for Sydney stays.

  • +4

These the same hotel used for quarantine?

    • Most probably! No thanks.

    • think Grand Hyatt was in Melb, didn't think Park Hyatt was

  • +2

thanks for this, booked a stay at Park Hyatt Melb

  • If you have access to corporate rates, remember to compare prices before booking with this promotion!

    • Corporate rate is still cheaper. For example, 3 nights in Hyatt Regency Brisbane is $181 * 3 = $543. This promotion will cost me $290 * 2 = $580.

      • +3

I don’t think that’s the best use of the savings, you would want to stay on a two night stay which presumably would be $290 vs $362 of your corporate rate

  • *Changes in taxes or fees will affect the total price.

So does the price include gst?

    • +1

      Yes

  • +1

This was FABULOUS!! Thanks so much op. Got club room for so cheap!

  • +1

I see below.. Whats the point if free night cannot be availed in the same stay

    Second Night Free Offer
    from
    A$720
    Hide Rate Rules
    Details
Get out of your bed and into ours with this exclusive offer for participating Hyatt hotels in Australia. Stay one night and get your second night free when you book a qualifying stay by Nov. 16, 2021. Breakfast included. Conditions apply and free night is not repeatable within same consecutive stay.

    • I guess they want more ppl to avail themselves of this deal. And not let some ppl hog it.

      • I guess could book twice to make 4 days.. pay for 2?

    • Weird conditions

    • +2

By not repeatable it means you can't book 2 and stay for 4.

    • It is applied in the same stay, you just can’t have it “repeatable”. For example, I take that to mean you can’t stay for 4 nights straight, and expect 2 of those to be free.

  • Could this be used with the $100 Melbourne money thing?

  • +1

Booked Hyatt Regency Sydney for Australia day. It is definitely 2nd night for free. Average $145 per night.

    • Did you include a Saturday night in your stay?

      • +1

Not Saturday, but work on Australia day.

  • Thinking of getting this as an anniversary present for the wife. What's better - Park Hyatt or Grand Hyatt Melbourne?

    • Park

    • +6

      Depends what you're after.

If you're going out in the city, like a bit of glitz and and want a big buffet breakfast selection, go the Grand. Be aware there are luxury retailers all around, so it could become expensive if you go shopping in the immediate vicinity.

If you like luxury a little more understated and are willing to pay for a quiet retreat near Parliament, go the Park.

      • Apologies accidentally negged you with my sausage fingers and can't remove 😂 meant to upvote.

  • +1

Has anyone been able to book Canberra Hyatt? I've tried a bunch of dates and none are eligible.

    • Yeah, I just booked for the end of January.

  • Saturday seems the excluded night.

    • -1

So you downvote my post, get my neg removed then post the same material I posted two hours later as a new post?

Okay finally got one to work. Is it excluding any stay on a Saturday night or something? Seems to be the case at the Hyatt Regency Sydney.

Not good enough. The neg stays. The foot has spoken.

I've upvoted your comment (so far the only one to), so you have to sleep with that on your conscience. Enjoy your luxury hotel bed Eeples.

      • I only helped getting you neg removed. I negged you because I don't think a Saturday exclusion is worth a deal neg. (And neither do 7 others).

Yes, that's right I posted the same thing about Saturday night most likely being excluded. (Backing you up with my experience). But, perhaps it varies between hotels. as seems likely from consequent posts.

Indeed I will sleep well knowing that I helped removed a neg from this deal.

The point is just because this deal does not fit your choice of dates or hotel is not really a reason to neg it.

        • -1

Honestly wasn't that upset about it. I take my lead from jv it's just more publicity. Hope you do have a great stay in Sydney (?) - I'll be there too soon (deity willing) albeit in slightly cheaper digs.

    • +2

      i booked mine sat-mon (melbourne)

    • +2

I think this is a Sydney-specific issue. I booked the Hyatt Centric in Melbourne over the weekend with no issues (over NYE no less!)

  • +4

Does it make sense to spend two night at a hotel in the city where I live?

  • Anyone know if we can have 4 guests, seem like the max guest for park are 3.

    • No max guests mean max guests

    • +3

3 is max - they don't mind a 3some, but 4 to them is just weird.

  • I tried to book Grand Hyatt Melbourne. It seems breakfast is not included with this deal.

  • Free parking included?

    • +3

      If you take the bus.

  • +1

Thank you OP I have booked one. This is super good find, Hyatt never really goes on sale.

And this time it perfectly stacks with AMEX $100 statement credit…….. Lovin' it

    Thanks OP

    • Comment above is not right - Offer not available on Hyatt online websites as pointed out by @OhTeri BhenDi

    • +2

In-store only which is kinda stupid

  • why does the price keep doubling to pay for both nights even with the 2nd night free offer during "enter details and payment", does this change at checkout?

    • Deposit Policy

Credit Card Deposit Required 2 NIGHT(S) DEPOSIT WILL BE CHARGED TO CREDIT CARD

    • price is averaged out, so you pay for two nights
320 per night, one night free, is 160 per night, billed two nights

  • Got a couple of PH for my wife's bday. Thanks OP!!

  • Since Breakfast isn't included in this deal, does anyone know if we have the option to use the breakfast buffet on the day and how much it costs?

    • Where at? Says breakfast included for PH Sydney.

      • Melb PH doesn't seem to have breakfast included

        • I just called and booked via the in house reservation team - to stack with the AMEX deal as well.
The lady told me its $40 per person for full breakfast at PH Melbourne.

          • +1

@tara89: Nice one. I'm still deciding between PH or GH. I've been to GH. Not bad. Pools are quite old though.

            • +1

@yellowfever: I have been to park Hyatt melb and rooms are very modern and spacious. I prefer park Hyatt every time.

  • Does anyone know how this compares to Sofitel Darling harbour.
I haven't stayed at the park hyatt rocks yet, but no hotel has been as beautiful as sofitel yet in sydney for me

    • Four Seasons is better than Sofitel IMHO.

  • Would have been absolutely perfect… except turns out the hotel in Perth is a designated quarantine hotel. I’ll be sticking with Ibis.

  • Be aware the Perth hotel is one of the designated WA government quarantine hotels. I wouldn't want to stay there now.

    • How long ago was this the case. Surely it would have been cleaned and how long can the germs survive? Unless they are breeding in the air-con system?
