Pay with One-Time Digital Card in-Store and Get up to $50 off The 4th Instalment @ Klarna App

440

I think it’s targeted. I just received email, only one redemption per account. To maximise this offer I think you should spend $200, so you only pay $150 as fourth instalment will be covered by Klarna (make sure they comply as Last Kogan offer I had to ask them to waive 4th instalment in chat)

With Klarna, you can support your local retailer and pay in-store. How? With a One-time card. It’s a virtual, single-use card that's set up in the Klarna app. Use it within 24 hours to split your payments in 4 and we'll cover your 4th payment up to $50 this weekend.*

How it works.
• Select In-store in the Klarna app and search the store you want to shop at.
• Set your budget and follow the steps to create your One-time card.
• Save your One-time card to your digital wallet, then tap to pay at the terminal as usual.

Your offer details.
Shop now and split the cost into 4 smaller fortnightly payments. Pay the first 3 instalments and then we'll apply a discount of up to $50 to your 4 instalment.* If you pay your entire order off early, we'll issue a refund up to $50 within 14 days.

*Offer ends at 11:59pm on 24th October (AEDT) and is available to the recipient of the promotional email or push notification only and limited to one transaction per customer. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to use the One-time card at some types of retailers, including: alcohol, gambling, and medical care.

I got the offer. Wondering if I add it to Apple Pay, will this work online? I mean it has to because Amazon and eBay both are listed in the list of "In-store"

    • Good point. Perhaps contact the chat to clarify? Your reasoning makes sense. :)

      • Will just go with Prezzee for now before it gets blocked !

        • As impoze stated it’s only in store

          • +1

@fozzie: Yea its a tricky one, but if I follow their instructions from email

Select In-store in the Klarna app and search the store you want to shop at.

Set your budget and follow the steps to create your One-time card.

Save your One-time card to your digital wallet, then tap to pay at the terminal as usual.

Prezzee shows up in the list of "In store" list on their app. I am able to save to digital wallet and use it at Prezzee's terminal using digital wallet.

  • What stores?

    • quite a lot, including Amazon, eBay, Apple and Prezzee

      • It says in store only?

        • +3

Yea, but per their instructions if you Select In-store in the Klarna app and search the store you want to shop at, Prezzee shows up

          • @rake: So have you bought the prezzee card?

            • +3

@htc: Yup, took one for the team! Let’s see if they cover the 4th instalment . Not sure how I can tell from within the app at this time .

              • @rake: It says if you pay all 4 payments, it will refund the 4th payment up to $50. Also what shop accept prezzee? So if you pay all 4 payments now, you should be able to see if klarna will refund the 4th payment.

                • +1

@htc: Okay, currently is pending so can’t prepay

Once it shows up for payment, I will pay and report back

                  • @rake: Great, your contribution to the ozbargain community will be greatly appreciated!

got this as well and was reading through the terms & conditions

    https://app.klarna.com/articles/urn:uuid:e20e8932-5ad5-4af3-…

states 'Offer is available at retail stores only and not available at online stores.' so I guess online is void.

but I can just buy gift cards at coles/woolies then

    • They can say that, but Prezee, Amazon and eBay don't have retail stores as such. But yea, best to confirm.

    • I can't find Coles on the list, but may can buy at Kmart Coles Myer gc.

      • So you mean you can buy Kmart gift card to use in store?

  • jbhifi?

  • Wow, is it just me or is Klarna pretty clunky?

The card generated for instore use is only valid for 24 hours. I need to set this up with an amount, the first payment (1/4 of the amount setup is payment pending) is made once the one time use card is generated and it appears only valid for that retailer.

    • In principle, it’s not a bad security feature to have .. but for a potential credit check to happens every time a card is created is too much

      • +1

Fyi, I’ve used many times but apparently it doesn’t show up in my credit report. Not even once. Even my lender doesn’t aware if i have klarna if I didn’t report it

  • How to get 50 off? Is it, you buy some thing like a 200$, 4 installments will be 50 each, 4th will be paid by them. Or am I missing something?

    • Yes, spend 200. You only pay $150 (4th instalment is paid by them)

      • I want to buy stuff from chemist warehouse, can't I order online? They offer free delivery on 50$ stuff

      • It says upto $50 for spend between $10-$2000, so don't you have to spend $2000 to get the full $50 back?

        • As the maximum is $50, the best way is to spend $200. Why would you spend $2000? If you spend $10 you only get $2.50 off

  • I haven’t got the email/offer but it seems that everyone can use this offer. Am I right?

    • +1

*Offer ends at 11:59pm on 24th October (AEDT) and is available to the recipient of the promotional email or push notification only and limited to one transaction per customer. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to use the One-time card at some types of retailers, including: alcohol, gambling, and medical care.

      • Thank you for your clarification! :)

  • I wonder if the Klarna scam in the UK of just putting in some rando's details works in Aus

  • +1

Can you use in the good guys or jb hifi to get $200 gift cards?

  • How many $200 transactions can do I ?

    • 1 only according to term and conditions

  • Just used Klarna and the first $50 installment paid immediately.

    • Cool, what did you splash on?

  • So does the app generate a code or something.. and the retailer just scans it? So does that mean you can pay part with gift card and then klarna the rest?

    • One time card and you gotta tap (I’m assuming you’d need apple or Google pay)

    • I just did this and it worked

  • +1

Hello fellas, could someone please confirm does this offer works for the one that hasn't received any emails or push notifications…also does this offer works for the stores like Amazon, eBay as they are mentioned in-store within the app….regards

    • Answered above

      • Pity…it's not for everyone!

        • Yes guys “targeted” means that. If you didn’t get email or app push notification you don’t qualify. You can try, but then when you don’t qualify it will be hard to argue with Klarna.

          • @fozzie: I checked with their chat, apparently discounted 4th installment promotion for everyone ended midnight last night and this one is still going but only invitation based.

            • @Kansin: Have you been misled? I thought there’s only deal that’s running…

              • @thomalfa: I hope you saved chat. There was nothing mentioned on app, but just this offer which was only by invitation.

                • @fozzie: I did not chat with klarna it was @kansin…. lol

  • Can buy $200 giftcard from the retail stores to qualify the $50 off? Kmart giftcard or Myer….

    • Yes

  • +1

anybody confirmed it works with amazon online?

  • Anyone tried eBay , Prezzee?

  • Anyone tried Woolworths or coles?

    • +1

It does not seem Woolies and Coles are on the in-store list. But you can buy GC from Kmart, Target, Myer; and Woolies GC from Big W.

      • Is there an extra fee to buy physical gc from big W?

        • +1

no fee if you buy gift card, not those visa card though.

      • Kmart, target not in in store list….anyone successfully purchase gc at Kmart?

  • I just got off chat and confirmed that its not available to online stores.

"While you are welcome to use them, the offer will not apply to these purchases. Please note that the offer is only eligible for In-store transactions using the One-time card, and this will not apply for online purchases. Thank you for understanding this, "

This is all so confusing, because I wanted to purchase the rx 6800 xt card from PCCG, but the max I can add on the one-time card is $1000, but the clause says "For eligible customers making a purchase between $10 and $2,000 using Klarna as a payment method"

  • All good

  • If the store is not in the instore list does this mean can't use Klarna to pay? Can't find Kmart.

    • Click create one time card first. Kmart is there

      • Kmart is not in in-store list anymore.

        • you can create a card for Kmart but I think it could be online only?
Quite stupid as there isn’t many in store taking off Kmart and also Bigw.

          • @fozzie: I end up clicked in-store, search Myer, none could be found; shop anyway, I created one-time card for $200, bought gift card from Big W, will see if Klarna honor this deal.

            • @jayzee: So were you able to pay with the online card in store? I can create card for Kmart or big w but I believe it’s for online shopping only

              • @fozzie: I used it in-store. I created the card from in-store process, as it didn't find Myer from in-store, I created it anyway, so it didn't tide up to any store. After added to Google Pay, I could use it in Big W. Will see if I can get $50 waived.

                • @jayzee: Wow that’s cool guys. In the end I didn’t buy anything . Good luck to you though

              • @fozzie: Added to apple wallet and spent $201 bucks in ALDI today, I will report back

                • @Smallman: I got fourth payment $50 waived. Despite Big W is not on the in-store list. It's waived after first three payments collected.

                  • +1

@jayzee: same here , got $50 off with my last payment
