Philips Poemia Coffee Machine And Gaggia Grinder Deal
$234.00

Starts 15 March - Ends 21 March

This offer not available at Target Country stores unless stated otherwise

I'm new. Total value $448. Poemia coffee machine. HD8325/03. Pressurised filter crema. 15 bar pump. Cup warmer. -Pannarello to froth milk. Regular price $299. Gaggia grinder. R19100/13. Conical shape burr grinder. Regular price $149. Coffee beans not included. This offer not available at Target Country stores unless stated otherwise.

Must be purchased in the one transaction. No further discounts apply. No rainchecks. Selected merchandise available at Urban by Target.

I think this is a really good deal, considering how much conical burr grinders cost on their own.

I saw a video on youtube for an (older model HD8325-01) of this coffee machine and the crema on the coffee shot looks nice

Here is another video showing the milk frother

Its okay froth, for the price you are paying. But even when the froth is not perfect, it doesn't really matter, as the flavour depends on how the machine actually makes the cappuccino coffee and the brand/quality of the coffee beans. If the machine can make a delicious coffee, you will still get a great tasting cappuccino. If it can make a tasty coffee, that is, I can't say, because I haven't tried this cappuccino maker. I have the Delonghi Icona:- not the best froth like a $600 machine, but it does make a delicious cappuccino, because it makes the coffee good - strong, nice and hot with crema so the froth quality doesn't really matter. Maybe someone who has this model can post their thoughts about the taste?

  • Philips? Is that as good as my Breville CD player?

Or is this like the recent "Hyundai" tablet, that has no connection to the well-known Korean conglomerate?

edit: OK, I JFGI and Philips bought Saeco. And Gaggia.

      What?

      • What?

Philips do consumer electronics, medical and lighting. This is the first I heard of coffee machines.

  • +1

wondering if it is made in china or italy. coz a lot of breville and sunbeam espresso machines are made in china.

  • Here is another video showing the milk frother

Forget this video. That guy did not know how to use an expresso machine or a steam frother.

  • Hey Oz,

I'm planning to buy a coffee machine and my choices are this philips coffee machine or the following:

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/sunbeam-piccolo-espresso-mach…

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/breville-cafe-venezia-espress…

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/sunbeam-cafe-crema-espresso.h…

Basically my price range is 150-250

Not sure which one is better, any thoughts?

    • I'd say get this one. Saeco is a specialised coffee machine brand. Otherwise, Sunbeam has better review than Breville. I personally prefer Sunbeam products coz they are better quality.
