  • What exactly does this app do on your device?

    • It sucks up your info on what you do and who you talk to etc. and builds a marketing profile I believe.

      • It literally says it doesn't do that, which is why I am asking :)

"Download our safe and secure Nielsen App to all of your registered devices. It is noninvasive and won't impact device performance."

it reads however you want it to.

i don't think that statement says anything contrary to what bennobee said above, non-invasive just means you don't know it's there and likewise not impacting device performance is taking a similar tone.

the entire company is based around marketing and research, there is no way they're not collecting your data and on-selling it

EDIT: and to hit back at the original "spiel", you could just……not use the device. i don't see any conditions that say you need to use your device everyday, just the same as how you would normally use them. is the reward tied to how often the device is used or is it just a flat rate for registration?

Monitors all your usage and site visits, messages etc etc.

It's a very small reward for giving up all your privacy.

  • Not a deal.

  • Give up privacy and still slog through surveys to get a coupon…

    • Sounds more rewarding to use one of those hyped click-for-crypto mobile apps

… as long as they are not also requesting all permissions to abscond with your info

There are probably some hurdles against using this on a spare throwaway disconnected device
