OzB is now on an FBI watch list :(

  • do not like the vinyl roof - that would fail in one hot summer. nice unit otherwise.

ClimbingFrames are the only distributers of Selwood products in Australia other than rebranded cubbys made for Toys R Us.

Cubbys are always advertised at "special prices" below their set RRP at this site. In fact, I've even noticed on occassion their RRP changing.

The prices have dropped in the last few years and has risen slightly in the last few months.

That being said, their prices are pretty damned good regardless.
Warranty and service are very good too.

I managed to score the highlander for $1499 with a $232 delivery fee roughly 6 months ago.

If you want a good bargain from these guys check out their blog where they advertise weekend-only specials (which is where I got the price for the highlander before it rose to $1699, and now $1899)

  • man, you could buy a heap of timber for $700+

Not everyone can build their own.

If you can find a plan, building something like this isn't that difficult. You think you can't do it - but give it a go, you'll be surprised at what you can do - and very rewarding.
Building from scratch without a plan - that would be a serious challenge!

"daddy, why is this wood loose ? aaaaarrrrrggghhhh"

not so much being capable of building, its the costs of tools, trailer hire, etc, time is also a factor

    • Currently looking at furniture from dining room
At Freedom / Oz Design, I found that $1500 can get you just one of the following 3 items:

      Dining Table
      Buffet
      Book Shelf

Wish they also followed your logic.

Was impressed at the amount of wood that came with the Highlander kit
      Roughly 400KG iirc

Precut, well labelled, still very time consuming to assemble.

  • There is something really weird about that photo.

Maybe either the kids are photoshopped in or the background is photoshopped in?

both by the look of it

      • Yep, they've reused the kids :)

They've actually done a reasonable job, aside from the equipment kind of floating off the ground.

  • a nice idea but kids don't play it after 6mths. trampoline, swing set, cubby, climbing frames etc..not interested…even if it's an exxy spring free one. Also, we moved house recently and it was a pain to take all the backyard stuff apart and re-build it at new place. New owners didn't want it. Next door neighbour just moved out and offered us their trampoline and fort which we refused.

Just try to buy a house within 100 steps from a park. My kids prefer to ride their bikes out the front with the rest of the neighbourhood kids.
