Ridiculous. Who would spend over $1000 on a processor worse than a 4th gen Ryzen 3? It's not like the rest of the laptop is even a premium build.
Old Gen CPU and a screen that can only be used in a dark room for $1000 plus - lol
From your friends at FUonline…pun intended
Which one would be a good one around $1k?
IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro Gn 6 16" AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 350 Nits QHD Screen $1173.60 @ Lenovo Education Store
Not everyone has access to this education store
@drezy: I don't have access to education store, would this be better one?

can you tell me where you got this price from please? The ideapad slim 5 pro I saw on the education store is only Ryzen 5 5600H and has only 8gb ram. 16gb add on to this brings the price to $1,204.00.
edit - nvm found the coupon EDUCOMM
Would consider for 500-600, for 1000 this is an immediate no-go. extremely subpar CPU and screen as well as battery compared to anything close to 1k.
