  • I'm still using mi band 4 Any point upgrading to 5?

    • +4

      Buy now, regret later
      It's the ozbargain way

      • +1

Or Buy now, Buy again later.

        • Buy now, keep it unopened.

        • Thats what I did with the Dreame D9 :D

    • +1

Upgrade to 6. I jumped from 4 to 6 and it's absolutely worth while.

Not at RRP obviously. I snagged one from gearbest at $39 ish last year and it's great. Bigger screen, much better display, SpO2 levels etc etc

    • i have 4c, horrible.
5 is better but text still too small to read easily

    • I bought the 5 recently as I couldn't easily read the notification text on the 4 after I updated the firmware on the 4 which included updating the font library. Text is larger and has made a difference for me as I'm no longer straining my eyes guessing the text. YMMV as I'm in the over 40 age bracket.

  • +1

Is that a good price for the Mi Band 5 or worth holding out for a better deal on the 6?

    • +1

      Would also like to know!

    • +1

I'd certainly wait for 6, or take the best deal now.

Much better device for not much money.

Also, NFC and voice control is coming to Europe and presumably Australia

      https://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-mi-smart-band-6-nfc-…

Might be with worth waiting for that.

      • Thanks, will wait 👍

      • The Mi Smart Band 6 NFC is priced at €54.90, a bit pricier than the non-NFC version that costs €48.99.

        what, rrp aud 88 ?

    • +1

Good price for 5. Sorry 6 if not much with the upgrade unless you really care about the oxygen measurements. I read last night there might be a new model of 6 which has nfc outside of China and a microphone for Alexa, so might be worthwhile waiting a little bit

  • +2

Huh, this was up last night but then removed. Was it because it didn't list any deals in the description?

  • Hopefully one of the Segway e-scooters is on a decent sale.

  • Thanks Dealbot!

  • Is that monitor comparable to dell ones? In terms of quality? For same specs?

    Thanks

  • +3

Read this link to see howhow inflated the price is for this monitor
It was selling for 429 in June and now 490 in sept

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/xiaomi-mi-curved-gaming…

    • Wouldn’t spend more than $450 on this. They often go on sale.

    • +4

The actual reason is that Xiaomi themselves have increased the price of this monitor and thus it now costs more for resellers like Gearbite, Xiaomi AU etc. to buy them.

It's not unheard of with Xiaomi to increase their prices on products. They've done it to the Xiaofang/Dafang cameras years ago when they got super popular, the Aqara smart home sensors, Yeelight night lights etc. Not to mention supply and demand of components, COVID etc. all have impacts on manufacturing costs.

  • Any 75inches TV deal?

  • any graphics card deal?

  • $ cap is still at 300 so not feeling bad that I had just bought a $2k lens last week during 15% off sale lol…

Also is there like a grace period of some sort after you cancel eBay plus? I noticed I am still getting plus codes showing up (will try the 22% code when it goes live) and I cancelled my membership back mid-early August.

    • +1

Yep 22% code worked for me despite no longer having an eBay plus account.

  • +2

Fingers crossed for a good deal on a stick vacuum!

  • what do i look for in a monitor spec to know if it can run keyboard, mouse and other monitors directly? (internal docking)

    • USB hub. The Mi 34" doesn't have any of that.

  • Damn. Just bought mi band 5 from gearbite yesterday for $29. Unlucky.

    • I bought for $26 day before as well:(

    • Haha man, me too!

  • +2

I have an offer from a seller pending on an item. If it ends up being part of the sale, can i accept the offer and still apply the discount code?

  • Why is it so hard to find eligible items with these ffffff ebay promos. My ebayplus $5 coupon always comes up first on the item listing so i will always have to check the 22% coupon by adding the item into cart first then apply the code

    • +1

Why is it so hard to find eligible items
because it hasnt been active yet ?

      • +1

No mate. I am referring to when the deal is already active

    • Probably because it starts at 10:00 AEST on 17 September 2021.

  • -1

mi band 5.. the text is too small to read comfortably.
i regret getting it but 5 is much better than 4c if anyone want to know..

  • I bought this watch. Could anyone comment how this is compared to Mi Band 5 or 6?

  • Any good deals on the Poco F3?

  • LG NANO86 75" disappeared from TGG eBay, yesterday was the same price as their own site.

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-75-inches-nano86-4k-uhd-sm…

The search result before 10am was not correct.

  • So I'm looking at Dell monitors and they all seem to say shipping will arrive late October to early November. Surely this can't be true, definitely want a deal but I can't wait that long

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-27-Monitor-S2721HN-Full-HD-…

    • +1

Ordered mine in the 27th aug and, said approx delivery date was supposed to be Oct.
Came on the 9th of Sept.

      • Thanks for the response, seems that it doesn't work with the code anyhow.

  • I can see M1 iPad Pros on the list. Could be the lowest price ever.

    • Link please?

“New, Carton Damaged only. PICK UP AVAILABLE AT P&S ELECTRONICS LIDCOMBE, NSW 2141”

    EDIT:

This came up from the search before 10am but didn't work with the code now.

    • Please refer to this thread about P&S - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/635222

    • Generally warranty wont work for a seconds. Problem is you won't have time to check if covered by warranty. I bought a seconds from P&S before and tried to claim a warranty from LG and they knew it was a seconds and said not covered. P&S did warn me no warranty though. Mine had screen burn but thought I'd try my luck.

  • Shame they price jacked the shit out of airpods pros.

  • -1

The scooter is allegedly sold out - never had any stock

(edit - now in stock, but with price jacked up significantly)

    • Check again.

      • Yep, back down to original price, so I bought.

        • Original price
It's $689 on their website. When I called them out on this in a previous eBay sale, they dropped the eBay price to match. I've found their customer service to be great; they also sent me a personal coupon code to use when I missed out on a public one, but it's disappointing to see what appears to be price jacking on an eBay sale.
Still, the $612 end price is good. I paid $620, so I'm not too disappointed that it's a little cheaper.

  • Jack lives here

  • Seem like the actual stuff that works with the code not the same.

  • any IPAD AIR deal?

  • Any good TV deals? Looking to nab a x90j

  • -2

    any Nintendo switch deal?

  • +7

    Talk about price jacking

    • LOL. This is a good one. They left the hard evidence accidentally.

    • +1

Comes down to $585,497.00 with the code though. Don't forget to go through Cashrewards for 0% cash back too.

    • lol that is fake jack

    so whats on sale? LOL

    • +4

Redmi note 10 pro was $459 in morning

      • Yeah, they may have to cover the difference that eBay will charge them.

  • +3

why do they make it so hard to find what's eligible for a discount?

    • +12

Because there is barely anything worth buying that works with the discount.

    • +1

      https://www.ebay.com.au/b/Coupon-Promotions/bn_7116150158

Just search here, why so hard? But not many stuff eligible anyway.

      • +2

There is no search box on that page apart from the main search field which is for the entire site.

        • Scroll down and click on a particular category

          • @superforever: Hit and miss. I found some items that the code worked during the Afterpay sale and they didn't show up under their sale categories.

Ebay search has really gone to the dogs lately. Used to love using the search links posted on OZB.

          • @superforever: And then once you click on a particular category eg. Toys, how do you then search for something specific from the 40k of items supposedly on sale? Ie. I’m interested in Lego, how can I search for Lego items included in this sale?

    • Yeah.. I'm finding same ridiculous search function, and same frustrations of finding some items outside of their "curated" search that the code applies to.

It's been hit and miss for a while now. I can't even see any discounts outside of a voucher code I have in my own ebay summary (blocks any other discounts showing up on item page).

Just tried the code on an 500GB SN750 out of interest and found I was having to manually search quite a few before 1 registered against the code (which in itself was only $4 cheaper than Amazon after the 22% discount).

8TB ironwolf all $325 listings aren't eligible, while eligible ones are at $369. Guess I will wait

  • Thanks Dealbot!
Purchased the roborock s7, best price it's been for a little while

  • Not a blanket code but works on eligible blankets

    • can we pay with ebay gift cards on the deal. Any idea - ebaygiftcards

      • +1

        ebay gift cards

Of course you can, gift cards = $$$$

  • It's actually not everything. It's only whatever showing up on the page is what's discounted.

    But this one is tempting.

    RXV6A 7.2Ch 100W AV Receiver Yamaha for $776 (after 22% off). It's an 8k Receiver.

  • Boozebud store seems like it's getting hammered. Nothing shows up when I search but if I browse for items, they're there and can be ordered. PITA but good savings

  • I was hoping for a fair price for a 5600X from gt.tech365 like on Ebay Tuesday but only SE participated. Needless to say that their biggest jackass was hard at work increasing the price to $499. What a joke.
