  • Curious why you'd choose this over the vivoactive 5, which has almost all of the same features (sans altimeter I think), which came down to $314 in the recent black Friday eBay sales.

    • +3

It has altimeter, it has the newer heart rate sensor (if you check out YouTube vids you can get the ECG feature to work in Australia), it has a more premium finish

      • Venu 3 Also has the ability to:
        - make and receive voice calls from and to your watch(built in speaker and mic)
        - play music from said built in speaker
        - respond to messages not only with pre-defined text but also type out custom responses from the watch itself
        - use the watch to activate the voice assistant on your phone and make queries from the watch with spoken responses
        - Notifications that have pictures/emoji in them will show up on the watch(useful for me when my doorbell camera snaps a pic and I can see, albeit a bit squashed view of what/who triggered it)
        - I believe it has also got more running metrics that the VA does not eg. Running power
        - Has the latest heart rate sensor 'Elevate v5' vs v4 in the VA4
        - multi-method GPS (not Multi-band)-cannot recall if VA5 does too)

I personally bought the Venu 3 in the last sale(upgraded from the Vivoactive 4)and have been enjoying it.

        • How the battery been? Do you always on display and workouts?

          • @Jklaro: Only had it for about a week and I usually take it off to shower so it's charging during that time. Battery estimate says 14 -15 days when full. Don't have much doubt that if you leave it as smart mode mode it'll last easily 10 days. I keep Always-on turned off

          • @Jklaro: I have been using it since a year or so. The battery lasts 4-5 days with always on display and workouts

  • OP has not posted link to the actual deal, I assume it's this one - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/176666636639
