The $5 bonus Cashback on a $50 JB Gift Card is in addition to the standard 3% Cashback.

    So basically there is the $5 cashback on a $50 giftcard with the already 3% cashback taking the total cashback to $6.50 making it a 13% total cashback.

      Agree with you nothing worthwhile to get today, although the expiry date is 2099, so plenty of opportunity in your and my lifetime to wait for the next bargain from jb. I bought fitbit when it was half price a month ago, again due partly from the ozbargain mentality and convinced myself to get one, haven't regretted yet, and still haven't used all the functions. Grab the deal while it lasts.

    Buying gift card from the app is safe, as it is inside their app which clearly shows all the transaction. If doesn't track, the transaction will show, so hard for them to deny your cashback.

    I have recently found out that the data breach in Sept 2020 has compromised my email address and now I have multiple failed attempt logins at Instagram and spotify on a weekly basis. Information of compromised email from haveibeenpwned. So please use caution with this.

      You can buy multiple, but you will only get a maximum of $5 bonus cashback for it.
      As this is limited to 1,000 redemptions, I would kindly ask you to only purchase 1 for now so others can also take advantage of the $5 bonus.
      Once the bonus is over, you can buy the JB-Hi-Fi Gift Cards and still get the 3% cashback as normal :)

          I notice the same thing. No start button. Also participant is now 1051 while the reward is only 1000.
          Am I missing something?

          I guess 51 people will be very upset that they buy but didn't get the $5 cashback…

            @ben1680: GYB mentioned this post will be updated once all rewards are claimed. So should not worry about it. A lot of people just enrolled but never finish their purchase.

    It is interesting, in a deal posted by TA, $5 credit for the amazon for 75+ spend on amazon gift card. It received more than 1000 votes. This deal only requires 50 to receive $5 cashback (you can actually spend the cash on something else + extra 3% off on gift). I know amazon has more choices, but most ozbargainers purchase, or most expensive purchases are mostly on entertainment and technology.

      That deal as from Amazon rather CashRewards, otherwise you would have seen the wrath of people, those are the same people who get cold fries at Maccas and yet go there next day but jump to google reviews once its done by a small family business.

              It's the same for every one of our challenges.

              'Start' is the Opt-In point, 'Buy' is the transaction point.

      There is a bonus that is Targeted to specific users, but this purchase will not count towards it.
      Their T&Cs state "Purchases from ShopBack Super Store and stores offering no cashback are excluded from this challenge"

      Bought the JB card an hour ago, it was showing 1629 participants.
      Did it via the app - under the Earn tab and clicked Start on the challenge and hit the Buy Now option. Did everything right I think?

      Already spent the gift card and the $1.50 has tracked (in the app and received an email), but the Challenge still shows $50 to go.

      Here’s hoping we till get the $5 bonus.

            @htc: Agreed, it's super easy for us to do this with Gift Cards in comparison to other retailers though.
            Our Gift Cards track to your account instantly, where other retailers can take 2-48 hours to report back to us - which can cause issues if we don't limit by opt-ins.

    this cashback carnival could have been so much better, it was NOT THE BEST, NO BIG CASHBACK OFFER, FALSE CLAIM on biggest cashback sale 3-5 AUGUST.

    There was no 100% cashback offer, Nor any eBay/amazon good deal offer
