Need to be active for 60 days so not a great idea to port in. There’s also a bonus of $5 CB for placing order on Vodafone.

    • +1

Yes, just leave it expired without recharge. It is also considered as active.

      • Prepaid cards - SIM must remain active for 60 days after activation (unless expiration date is otherwise stated by Vodafone).

So if the SIM has 28-day expiry, doesn't that over-ride the 60 days clause?

  • I am concern of this comment

    • Cashback should be tracked pretty soon, after 35 mins for me. I purchased it before posting. I actually started $5 VF APP offer long time ago.

but that comment indicates the transaction is tracked but then denied by Vondafone after 90 days and get $0 cashback, out of SB's control.

        • My exp is if the purchase is not automatically tracked (through manually added), it is more likely to be denied later.

          • @Neoika: I am not sure why but it seems there are more than usual number of people complaining about missing cashback when it comes to Telco, both Vodafone and Amaysim

            • @AsukaST: Have had Voda track but then much later on denied due to not meeting activation requirements.

              • @chyawala: Oh… what did you miss?

                • +1

@AsukaST: It was donkeys ago, so best I can recall was needed to be activated by a certain date.

  • Just looking for some confidence before I order.
Has anyone actually received cashback payment from Vodafone?

    • +3

My cashback for April purchase is still showing pending after more than 90 days.
I believe SB shows till Sep if I recall correctly. Not sure if it will be approved.

Voda has to be the worse when it comes to cashback T&C.
Not going to touch it with a ten mile pole!

      • In the same boat, but I think most long pending cashbacks are more likely to be approved in the end.

        • I hope so. Let's wait and see.
It's so long that I even forgot that I've a pending Voda cashback on my SB account until I see this post.

          • @F1ngolf: Cashback for VF SP bought in April was approved just now.

            • @Neoika: Is it your secondary sim? You just leave it there after 1st month (w/o renewing)?

              • @hawkeye93: No recharge, ported out after about 80 days.

    • The problem may not be cashback now.

After 2 days, my order is "We're still processing your credit check. We'll be in touch when it's complete."

      https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/sign-up/credit-checks

Vodafone does this to a prepaid service that can also be bought at many stores, which is unbelievable.

      • Same here. Why do they need credit check? Isn't this a prepaid service?

  • Voda is TPG, with TPG's reputation….go figure…….If it is straightforward cheap buy, I will get it but with 90 days cash back… I won't trust it…rather miss the few bucks than going through the CS communication pain.

  • within how many days of the order date do we need to activate this by to qualify for the cash back ? is it 28 or 30 days like in the past offers?

  • 30 days

Anyone received their sim yet? Mine still stuck at credit check on their tracking page

    • Yes, same. I think it is common. Maybe processing centre is covid affected, who knows.

    • got mine. why would it be still stuck at credit check? isnt this a prepaid sim pack not on a plan?

  • +1

activated sim card but must be faulty as no service only emergency calls ordered a replacement but same problem. wasted allot of time chatting to rep cant even swap to esim as you need sms code sent to faulty sim what a stupid system lol. only option now is i have to go to a store , regretting now buying it. if i get sim swapped and plan date restarted does that mean ill loose the shopback ?

It happened to me for the purchase in April too. I already ported the spare number to the faulty one, but got a replacement instore without issue. I think you just need ID to replace it instore for free. As for the cashback, I guess VF messy managment (or SB's) may result in your favour and approve it regardless of what happens (as they do not know how to track down each sale). My April cashback was approved as mentioned above.

BTW, my order has not processed in this deal. I decide to lodge a dispute with my card issuer after 4 weeks. I also would not be surprised that my cashback is approved later.

  • I called voda.
Voda advised that they forgot to ship out the sim card.
the order was created 4 weeks ago and they totally forgot the order until I called them?
