Do water flossers work for people with heavily crowded teeth?

    • +3

I've found that it works much better than floss and whatnot, the water gets through to stuff I had never even dreamed about! I'm using a kogan one but I'd imagine these would be the same. Tip, use the lower settings, then work up if you need to, some of the higher ones hurt my gums!

      • Which Kogan one are you using? Any problems with it? :)

        • Its one of the older models, has a bulb you stick into a cup, these newer ones are probably much better. No issues, just make sure you wash the cup and run vinegar or solution through it every so often to clean the insides!

My dentist said you need to floss if you have crowded teeth. The water flosser will help, but it's not as good as string flossing.

  • Any reviews from people who bought it in the last deal? I missed out last time :(

I got one last time. It works well for me, the first couple of times are difficult but you get the hang of it. I use this more often than when I was only manually flossing. It's just so much faster. Worth it for people who haven't got the time or can't be stuffed flossing by hand. They say it might not be as good as string flossing but it's definitely better than nothing.

interesting.. i dunno how people hand-floss every day, i managed once a week only or unless something stuck between my teeth

  • Working pretty good.. No complaints yet

  • these portable water flossers have small water reservoirs so be mindful that if you want to use these to do a full clean you'll probably fill it up 3-4 times to do your whole mouth properly

Got one in last deal, think it was $50. Agree, need to refill several times but no biggy. Still learning to use it without splattering the mirror. Works great, feels like just walked out of dentist each time.

    • Skip the sink and mirror, I use mine while leaning into my shower.

    • I've watched some reviews on water flossers in general, and they recommend using it with your mouth closed (not fully so the water can get out) while looking at the sink so water doesn't get everywhere

Thanks op, bought one. Just used it today, works really well with flossing the backend of my teeth.
