    @BargainsGrabber Here are the T&Cs from the app. Ends 31st December 2025 8:59pm. One per customer. Limited redemptions available. No minimum spend mentioned.

    I had seen this $5 off Chemist Warehouse/ShopBack Pay offer a few months ago but thought it was for Sydney stores only as those were the stores that showed up. I've searched all the capital cities and they are all included in this new $5 Chemist Warehouse offer.

    I haven't used ShopBack Pay before. What are people's experiences?

      Generally you would need to visit them a second round to get your previous purchase approved. Workaround is to take a photo of the QR code and put a minimum amount to get your previous cashback approved (if the benefit outweighs the minimum spend)

        It's worth pointing out that while this workaround would work to instantly confirm any in-store cashbacks, you may run afoul of ShopBack's "fraudulent and dishonest conduct" per their T&Cs.

        At worst, this may result in the suspension/termination of your account:

        12. Fraud
        ShopBack may suspend or terminate your account if it has reason to believe are involved in any fraudulent or dishonest activities. Any failure to comply with this Agreement, any fraud, dishonesty or abuse relating to the use of the services or your account, or any misrepresentation of any information furnished to ShopBack or its affiliates by you or anyone acting on your behalf may result in the termination of your account; cancellation of any purchases (of store credit, vouchers or otherwise) made; and/or forfeiture of your accrued cashback rewards.

        Tonester has added 1.5% service fee to the title. Didn't know about this and just read:

        I was surprised today at chemist warehouse where the terminal generates a QR which prepopulates the dollar value so this trick wouldn't work on smarter terminals. Good thing most places are unlikely to do this.

          Normally for in store purchases, like Sharetea or sushi places or even PapaRich. Only for those that have “cashback” would need you to return the second time for it to turn confirmed

          This isn’t applicable for Chemist Warehouse since the $5 discount is a Apply Promo situation

      I had used it at a couple of restaurants when visiting Melbourne. The cashback tracked, but then said to revisit before a certain date for it to confirm. Not great if you're only in the area a short time.

      I've used ShopBack Pay quite extensively and if this is like previous $-off promos, it will likely be an instant $5 off your purchase after you apply the promo.

      The general gist of it is that after scanning the QR code in-store and keying in your purchase total, you would then need to 'Apply promo' and select this $5 off promo, which will take off $5 from the amount you have to pay.

      I was really bullish Shopback pay when it came out, but after a few experiences with undertrained staff - and a slower checkout flow than card, I haven't used in a while.

    The QR code poster advertising the % of cashback in the stores are pretty deceptive. The fact that the cashback is credited upon the second visit is not prominent enough for people to notice.

      I would imagine so….check out the thread above by Greenguava….they mention that once you scan the QR code you have to hit "apply promo" for the $5 to come off the total before paying and keep in mind the 1.5% fee as well….which I didn't know about as I haven't used Shopback pay before either

        That’s good cos when I clicked on the banner there is a section that said ‘Chemist Warehouse Outlets’ that lists a bunch of stores but they were like 700km away in NSW. Not sure how that list is generated

          It defaults to Sydney.

          Next to where you saw ‘Chemist Warehouse Outlets’

          Click on the See more link.

          Then click the location to change from Sydney to your postcode or whatever. Then when prompted you will need to "Allow While Using The App".

          If you do the last part, it will remember the location you told it (or allowed it to detect etc).

          If you dont give the permission, it will default back to Sydney next time you open the app.

      Yes, based on previous experience with other ShopBack Pay promos, in addition to the $5 off, it's very likely that you'll also get a bonus in-app 'scratchie' card which you scratch to reveal a random bonus cashback amount

    A bit unrelated, but anybody else have issues with buying shopback gift cards? I bought a $250 Shopback Super Swap card that is still showing as "Pending" in my account although cashback is already confirmed…

    usually it is only a few minutes to get the gift card delivered, but its a few hours now. I did raise this with shopback support as a ticket, but wondering if anybody else facing issues….

    I'm getting a bit antsy as I need to swap this to make a purchase soon….

    I just used this.
    Got 1ltr of Palmolive body wash. Was on special for $5.99.
    Paid .99cents.
    Worked very smoothly. Although the attendant didn’t know how to use ShopBack pay and had to get someone more experienced down.

    Tried it out this afternoon.
    The cashier didn't know what Shopback was but understood when I told him it was in the F1 menu on the pinpad. I'm guessing all they have to do is select card tender as usual, then you press F1, then 6 on the pinpad like it says in the app. It then displays a QR code that you scan in the Shopback app. Unlike other merchants, the payment amount is automatically entered. You just need to remember to apply the promo then swipe to pay.
    As for the up to $20 cashback part, I was given two scratch cards (under Earn More > Rewards) which gave me 13 and 29 cents respectively. Better than nothing I guess :|
    There was no standard cashback like there is with other Shopback Pay merchants.

      I didn't even mention shopback. I just waited until the eftpos terminal was ready, then hit F1 , then 6 on the terminal and did as per above.
      After it paid, I mentioned to the shop assistant it was via shopback and she looked at me like I was an idiot, so honestly best to keep quiet and just follow the steps.
      I also got two scratch cards 13 and 79 cents

              On your account page, there is a section called in store cashback and loyalty. Click that
              There should then be a bar at the top saying "Your rewards". Your scratchies should be in there

              One of mine gave me $8.08!

              Edit: actually the quicker way is just going to Earn More and hitting rewards at the top as the initial discussion post said. If you've done that already then maybe you missed out for some reason

          I do have cashback money in my account and I didn't notice an option to use it but mind you I was trying to complete the transaction quickly!

    Beware - my transaction went through at Shopback Pay but the cashier's machine returned with a declined transaction (SYSTEM ERROR H8 04) - which likely meaning they could not receive the money from Shopback and hence I need to pay again. They say that Shopback should be returning the money I paid in a few days, and if not I should check with Shopback / Chemist Warehouse. I went to the Chemist Warehouse at Chatswood. So now I got this failed transaction to take care of, and I also am not able to use the $5 off since it's been used in a failed transaction. It feels like a scam. Please fix this @gotyourback.

        The scratch cards are only an introductory offer until 12 March. The way I interpret it, it's yet to be seen if there will be any other benefit or promotions after this ends.
