  • awww shit just bought the Gigabyte M32Q for $599 last night!!!!!

is the S3422DWG better? should i try cancel my order?

    • +2

Of course, Dell has better after-sales services, if the quality is the same.

    • +5

Keep in mind that the gigabyte is an IPS panel and the dell is VA (if that matters to you).

  • By prices are starting to increase,do you mean that prices at end of year sales- boxing day etc. will be higher than deals today?
I'm sorry but I have no knowledge of PC hardware except for the "end of year sales are the cheapest" philpsophy- I'm looking to build a PC this year or next year.

  • +1

    If only 2721DS :(

  • Says code expired.

    • Try again now mate, the deal started at 10am AEST.

  • 34 gaming curved one estimated delivery is end of August

    • +2

Most of the time they are faster than estimated.

      • Yeah, placed one. Will see if order can arrive earlier

    • Should be faster if you're in a metro area - on the last deal I purchased on the 30 June 2021 and recieved 15 July 2021 (I'm in Metro Sydney).

  • -1

    Again

  • -1

its Dell expect long delays to get your item. Just keep that in mind for those ordering.

    • +1

just expect delays 2 weeks to get it delievered.

  • Thanks. Been hanging out for this sale. Just bought two S2721Q's.

  • No Ultrasharp 34" monitors on the Dell eBay store, has anyone seen any decent deals on the U3419W or U3421WE? Thanks

    • +1

PM me and I can provide you a set of coupons to get 25.6% off either of those monitors. This is the only way to get a good discount on Ultrasharp from Dell directly currently.

      • For real?

        • Yes, it offer expires on 31/7/2021. I have been helping people here with the codes, PM me if you want them to purchase.

    Alienware 27 AW2721D Gaming Monitor QHD 2560x1440 240Hz G-SYNC HDR 600 avaliable for $799.20 delivered.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393033176321 .
    Seriously considering it.

    • +2

If you can deal with the curve, G7 is probably the better buy at the moment as its cheaper

      • +3

Thanks for the suggestion but I have a multi monitor setup I think it wouldn't work as well with 1 curved display. Also I've been reading up and it seems like the Alienware is the better performer in terms of response, colour accuracy and brightness. Some weird strobing and distortion issues on the Samsung have been noted. Some light bleed issues on the Alienware also, I'll take the possibility of light bleed. I've already owned many Dell Ultrasharp monitors at this point and they last forever, I hope the Alienware is similar in terms of durability.

    • Dooooo it, I got it at this price on the last deal and have not looke back since, 240hz 1440p IPS g sync ultimate is a dream

  • +3

Does anyone know when would Dell S2721QS come back in stock? I was eyeing this and it's not there, Dell is not able to keep up with demand. I might look else where, it is not worth it to wait for a 50$ discount.

  • +4

Can't believe the S2721DGF monitor was $359. Even at $399 it's a steal. I paid $500 for mine and still think it was a good investment. Can't go wrong with it for the price.

    • I think they sit in the $800 range as far as quality goes in my opinion. If you are in the market for a monitor with these specs at anything under $800 its a no brainer.

  • You can always try those new Frame books, completely customizable, and upgradable, and encouraged by the maker on how to repair it.

  • I hate to say it but the price has gone up
Dell 27 Inch Gaming Monitor S2721DGF

I got mine for 383 delievered. took 2 weeks to be delievered.

    Now its 399

    • +2

Still great deal, I don't think there is a better high refresh 1440p IPS 27" at the price, likely have to pay double or more for the new new LG.

    • It seems to hover between 350 and 450 on special. There doesn't seem to be method to the madness and they just pick at random what deal it will be for that month. I have been watching them for a while.

  • S3422DWG OOS

    • +4

Some more stock will be added shortly.

    • +1

      There's more on there now!

    • Can't believe I missed this deal 🤦‍♂️ That 34 inch curved is perfect

    • Just ordered Dell S3422DWG, seems to be back in stock.

Can anyone recommend a good dell xps 13 please?

  • $800 off the XPS 15 series, is this a good price to jump on?

  • Hi Guys

Want to buy my teenager a pc for gaming and that will do him for a few years

Do you think the 8940 on sale here (with the "k" chip will be ok or do I need to buy an Alienware model ? The XPS 8940 is a great price

I hear heat is an issue - he does not play AAA titles (yet !)

    • Just remember loads of proprietary parts and design in these, so for upgradable look at one of the custom built PC's often posted on ozb.

    • +2

I would buy this one, I’ve custom build with 3060ti, ryzen 5600x, 12 fans. Stock Cpu cooler. My old pc had 2 fans, gtx 1060 can play AAA titles with medium settings and cooling wasn’t much of issue cuz I wasn’t pushing for crazy frames.

Go for this one mate, great price and this build can smash any AAA titles with great frames without over clocking, so cooling won’t be issue as well.

      • Thanks Hill989billy Appreciate the advice

        • +2

I have the XPS8940 with the 10700k and rtx3070 and whilst playing triple A games the CPU and GPU often hover at 70 degrees. Personally I feel that these temps are a little high. The cooling issues stem from the fact that there is only one back fan for the entire pc. However for this price and the specs, especially with the over the top GPU prices, I believe it is an okay deal.

  • +1

Thanks OP, been looking at the Dell 34 inch widescreen S3422DWG, loads of comps (Xiaomi 144hz, AOC) but literally everything is out of stock. Pulled the trigger on 2 of them and a 27 inch 4k unit…..noice find

    • Same position! Could you please link to the comparison or your experience vs Xiaomi or AOC?

      • +3

Well iv'e got an Acer Predator X34 at home and a Xiaomi at work. Once it comes in i'll try and give a fair comparison.

To be honest - for work stuff i can't pick the difference between the Xiaomi and the X34 Predator…maybe the X34 edges it out, but for half the price the Xiaomi is always a winner (and now the Dell for scarcely $50 more than when i got the xiaomi on that legendary K-mart deal last year)

        • +1

Yeah I can't honestly can't tell the difference between the X34 Predator and Xiaomi either - I think its because the Xiaomi is tuned well straight out of the box. The Xiaomi was 1/3 of the price of my Predator so it wins in my book any day. I'm assuming the Dell is going to be better than the Xiaomi, at least on paper anyway with the 1ms response - but we'll see when it comes!

  • +1

Is any cashback on this as this code is not on Shopback / Cashrewards?

  • Buy now or wait for dealbot to negotiate some epic limited time deal?

  • -4

    eBay, gross.

  • No one likes the 8940 Desktop?

Not it's cheapest but you are getting a 3070 GPU for a reasonable price!

    • I bought it yesterday. Looks good. Now sold out. Hopefully the cpu cooler does the job.

                • @BadaimChris: try DVM$RV8RQ4JT?C instead

not sure whether it is a one-off code or not. it doesnt say so in the T&C, only mentions expires 31st July

  • Any idea when Dell 24 Monitor - S2421HS will be back in stock?

  • +1

Can vouch heavily for the S2721DGF, bought two the other week, about a week delay on shipping but they are fantastic. HDR400 certified is usually a cop out but this monitor is actually better set with HDR, the first one thats HDR400 and is actually worth having in HDR mode, the only downside is you lose the ability to fine tune the colours, but its still quite accurate without that, and perfectly fine for its gaming intention.

    • What about IPS Glow?

      • There is a small amount, but definitely not excessive, very easy to look past.

  • Does anyone have a S3422DWG, I have the Xiaomi Mi 34" and thinking of getting this instead. Has anyone had both and can vouch for the Dell?

  • Damn, was hoping to see a sale on the 24" monitors to use vertically with my S2721DGF. Does anyone have a similar setup?

  • +1

Dell XPS 8940 Desktop 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700K RTX 3070 16GB RAM 1TB SSD

This one looks good but not sure about over-heating problem. Anyone has idea please???…

    • +1

Just put a decent case fan and you will be alright

      • How hard is it to fit a new fan ?

    • +2

This version K has a properly sized radiator (the non-K has a tiny one which is totally inappropriate) I just purchased one.You can undervolt this GPU if it s too hot

    • +2

replace the CPU cooler (even the big one) with a Noctua u9s. Bolts onto the MB/case mount but you need some m3 screws. Much cooler. Also replace the back fan with a Noctua 92mm a9 pwm.

    • Thanks for your tips… mmm prof…nal job to me…

  • Hoping for a better price on the X15 before pulling the trigger.

  • Can anyone recommend a VESA mount for two S2721Q :) ?

  • +1

God damn, I just bought the S3222DGM in the most recent sale…! Arghhhhh

    • +1

I was in the same boat - fortunately/unfortunately it's got a defective pixel - so I'm in the middle of getting a refund (I've since purchased the 34"). DELL support is pretty responsive, maybe you can give them a call and process a refund/return on change of mind?

That being said, the 32" is 165hz over the 34" 144hz - I was a little bummed, as I play FPS and really wanted to push the frames with my RTX3080.

  • Got the Alienware Ryzen 7 with 3060Ti for $2200 and the S3422DWG to go with it.

    • Consider getting another 16gb of RAM. The Ryzen really benefits from dual channel memory and it’ll show in games.

      • Thank for the advice. Do I violate the warranty policy if I upgrade the ram myself? Never use an Alienware.

  • Finally bought the AW3821DW, I missed out on the last 1299 deal. Thanks OP!

  • Anyone know if the $1040 G15 5515 Gaming Laptop AMD Ryzen 5 5600H 8GB 256GB RTX 3050 is worth? For entry-level spec

    • I bought this laptop during the previous deal for $899 (so it has been cheaper). It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't speak for quality/performance. However, please see the following video to get an idea of gaming performance: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mcXiU_BtS38

The video shows performance of the G15 with an i7 10870 and RTX3050, but this should still give you an idea of gaming performance for the 5600H and RTX3050 combination. Hope this helps.

      • Nice. Thanks for the heads up.

  • was itching to buy since the 34" samsung i bought from futu last month came with dead pixels and DOA took 3 weeks to turn around only for them to refund me and ask me to place the order again…. -_-

    Thanks! Bought the S3422DWG.

  • How can we use cash rewards with this deal?

    • +1

      Nope.

    • +1

I ended up bought the ebay giftcard with 3% cashback vai shopback, however, only $1.5k max giftcard can be used as a payment method, so a saving of $45.

  • Can anyone tell me how good the s2721dgf is from personal experience? I've seen reviews but like has anyone gone from VA to IPS?

I had the kogan 1440p 144hz VA monitor up until like a year ago. It was a good panel. I really liked it.
I'm worried about IPS glow and lack of contrast and all the tradeoffs. Can anyone weigh in?

  • +1

Thank you.I have just purchased a XPS 11700k rtx 3070 for $2,149, that s a great price (but there is one month delay). Funny on Dell's website the computer is at of $3,399 and they could not match price it.

    • Just bought it as well.

  • the Dell XPS 8940 Desktop 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700K RTX 3070 16GB RAM 1TB SSD seems a good buy ?
i was looking to spend about $2000-2400 with PLE, but i would only get a lot lower graphics card for that price
can you upgrade these dell systems ?

easy to add an extra hdd ?

i just got a Dell 34 Curved Gaming Monitor – S3422DWG AMD FreeSync Premium Pro WQHD 144 Hz
    3440x1440

just looking for office pc, with some light gaming -fortnite, etc

  • Thanks I got the S2721DGF. This'll be my first 144hz monitor so I hope it goes well.

    • It OC's to 165Hz when connected via DP.
