    Bargain u reckon

  • I got 100 masks from ebay for free…

    • Not all masks are the same.

Where is the bargain? Seems like advertising to a reasonable person.

Please keep in mind that KN95 masks are much more expensive than the standard disposable masks because of greater protection against aerosol particles. Looking online, Chemist Warehouse is offering a 10 pack for $20, and it doesn't include delivery. Blooms the Chemist has a 10 pack for $39.99.

These are 437.5% more expensive than Bunnings

I hate to be a buzzkill, but I deal with the TGA and medical equipment often, and I was pretty brutal with some mask deals earlier in the pandemic.

I'd advise anybody advertising masks or anything to be very careful with wording, since these are considered medical equipment and thus are subject to TGA guidelines.

These are considered medical equipment since OP is advertising it for the coronavirus, and specifically mentions the Delta strain. It thus requires ARTG registration

"They filter out 95% of aerosol particles, plus they fit tighter on your face to ensure no particles get through." is self contradictory, and "no particles get through" is a claim.

Website is also a bit suspect:
-Claims best in class performance, yet also says they all achieve the same results
-Claims it meets Australian requirements. Australia does not use the KN95 rating
-Pictures are not of the same mask

I'm actually a hit in parties

    • Also helps if the product is identified/certified correctly.

    • I'd also like to point out the Bunnings link previously posted specifically says it's a dust mask, so it's not subject to ARTG registration since it is not a medical device. That Bunnings mask does also have the standard printed/stamped on the mask, which is important. OP's mask does not have any that I can see.

When lockdown is over, I'll come to your party (if I get an invite).

I'd talk to you at parties. That all sounds very interesting actually ;)

  • One thing I found out today while waiting for my vaccine……

P2 masks don’t let many particles through.
They don’t let much air through either!

    • +2

Protip, pop a mint in your mouth beforehand, because the air inside a P2 gets stale and stagnant fast, and you really get to smell your breath!
Also make sure you have a good nose seal, because some of the stronger mints can make your eyes water if it vents up into your eyes

  • This does not appear to be a good price or a deal… No certification and regarding COVID people should be focused more on getting vaccinated than wasting money on these in my opinion
