  • FYI this strip doesn’t do white colours. Only RGB.

    • That’s so strange!
      Thanks

    • Same with your phone and TV screen.

You have white color with RGB. You need to set Red, Green and Blue to full (255,255,255) which gives you white.

The one you are talking about it RGB-W which has extra LED only for white color. It is useful but it doesn't mean necessary.

Same question has already been asked at the Customer questions & answers section:

      • Does this have a white colour option ?

      • You can set the white light on the Apple Home app. The meross app cannot set white lights.

      • Thanks for expanding on my statement. You definitely don’t want to use it for white lighting as it looks trash and is not bright at all. But yes you technically can through homekit.

I haven't tested white color on RGB so not sure about the quality but as full brightness needed of all RGB colors to create white color, it will put max electricity draw load onto the strip which will shorten the strip's life for long term use in that way.

That's why RGB-W ones are technically better choice if white color is preference and will be used long term.

  • I bought two to try. Don't disappoint me, OP!
