Good price, but if you’re not in a hurry or don’t use AfterPay, you can wait for it to come up again on the buy one get one free promotion they do. Made the pair $99 a couple of weeks ago, before any other discounts/gift cards.

Yep, that's when I bought it and glad I did. Fantastic to watch in 4K with the updated colour grading and proper restoration.

    • Once a year that sale.

Yep same and I added a $2 donation at the register to get the $20 off by using Amex.

  • Dumb question, but I haven't even cast a thought to buying physical media in like a decade. These are just standard bluray discs that will play on a PS4 right? JB markets the sale as "30% OFF DVD, BLU RAY & 4K" and the separation of the formats has me second guessing myself.

Not a dumb question! But no, these are 4K UHD discs which needs a 4K player. Consoles that support that are the Xbox One S, One X, Series X and the PS5.

It can be confusing, but read the descriptions for the movies themselves, as some 4K movies will also include a 2nd standard blu-ray disc that would work in your PS4.

However, these specific movies only include 4K versions of the Theatrical and Extended movies.

      • Cool the gut was right. Thanks for the info.

    • Blu ray and 4k are different, it won't play on your ps4 I'm afraid. And unfortunately they don't come with seperate blu ray discs.

You can save $35 by just not buying the pointless Hobbit trilogy.

    • Pointless?

      • his way of saying he doesn't like the hobbit

Good deal but most importantly, where was Gondor when the Westfold fell?
