Hello Guys,

We have another Oz Bargain only special!

We are offering 30% off our Oz Smart Branded Smart Blind Motors

The main differences between the 2 models are:

Oz Smart Wi-Fi Blind | $70 | https://www.ozsmartthings.com.au/collections/smart-blinds/pr…
Wifi connected, no battery in the device (Connects to your router and uses Tuya app to enable voice control with Google, Alexa or Siri shortcuts

Oz Remote Smart Blind | $91 | https://www.ozsmartthings.com.au/collections/smart-blinds/pr…
433MHZ RF Operated, battery operated and solar charger (Broadlink RM Pro or similar to enable app control and Google, Alexa or Siri shortcuts)

This device will work with all blinds that have an endless loop beaded chain or sash cord. We recommend the size of a roller blind to be less than 2m x 2m but does depend on the type of material used.

We are making room for us to expand our product range. Coming this month we will be releasing the Switchbot Curtain Rail type. Along with some other cool smart home gadgets for Australia.

Use the code at checkout and then the discount will be applied!

      Hey Max,

Its just for the single units as the title states.

    Can they be flashed OTA?

    • There is a video on youtube of a customer who did it. He made a step by step guide.

I'm after a yes/no answer. As your reply would impact warranty.

No deal much cheaper from Kogan here
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/613462

    • This is their Wifi device only. We have a Battery + Solar version available

      • -2

So please share the links like for like where your product is cheaper?
With Kogan you can also stack with various other promos like discounted gift cards

      • I have the Kogan and at this price tempted to buy another for other blind or as a spare incase one breaks. As long as you have a power point nearby Kogan deal is much better as it has Wifi and remote. Oz only has wifi version with no remote or the remote version which is battery powered included a solar charger and require broadlink for it to use as wifi.

  • Any idea what the compatibility with Home Assistant is like?

    • People have flashed with Tazmota for the wifi version. You can control the RF version with an 433mhz RF bridge like the Broadlink RM Pro.

It says up to 2m x 2m , can we get hard wired powered for 3m long windows?

    • I'm in the same boat !

    $199 and no battery!

    • Where did you get that price from?

      • Oh you’re doing the shipping again in the title rather than actual item prices. It’s confusing

        • +1

No matter what i write some people don't read and just make it up.

$91 for the Remote Version that has solar and a battery!

        • It would be good if you could put these in the description.
EG Model with battery…. $$$ (link)
Saves us time and gives us something tangible.
I’ve actually been after something like this for a while but won’t likely dig through the whole site

  • Hi Rep, you mentioned that the RF version can be controlled via Broadlink RM Pro. Amazon currently have that on sale for $43.99 (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B086VBXSDH/) and they have the Broadlink RM Pro S for $48 (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0872P4HX7/) - which version do you sell (non-S vs S) and would you be willing to price match Amazon?

I can't really see what the difference is between the S and non-S so not sure if the $4 extra matters.
edit: just looking at it a bit closer I think the S comes with a temperature/humidity sensor cable so that might be the only difference

  • Where is the solar panel? Is it built into the side of the unit (facing outside of course)?

    Thanks, Ashley.

PS I assume it's not the Switchbot Solar Panel…
