How much better than Beam is this? Anyone used both?
I have the old Sonos Playbar (Not atmos) with wireless sub and it is fantastic. Can't rate it highly enough. So I can only assume the Sonos Arc would be fantastic too.
The Arc is just the best soundbar out there are the moment <$3k (if you aggregate all the reviews). It's so well rounded, versatile and can be tailored to usage (voice sharpening or night time) that we use it all day everyday for the TV, record player and streaming content/music from the phone. Our previous setup was only used when watching movies.
I can't compare to the Beam, but can confirm that it is much better than our previous Sony Soundbar+Sub combo we had and this is just vs the Sonos Arc, we don't even have the Sonos sub yet….still trying to justify to the wife that we need it! Any ideas on how to convince her, greatly appreciated.

Sorry we didn't test the Ambeo, but for the same price $3,000+ you can get the 5.1.2 Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 X One SLs combo if that's any help.. Unless you only have room/desire for a single device, then perhaps the Ambeo is worth the investment.
I thought the Samsung Q950T (can be pickup <$1100 at times) was considered the best? Also when compared specifically to this device …

Looks like a quality system. Can you just get the Q950T soundbar as a standalone device without the sub and two satellites?
RTINGs is also only one source of truth. Other reviews rated the Arc pretty well for dialogue clarity and bass (almost on par if not better than a standalone woofer). Besides, I think RTINGS notes the 950T is really bad in sound height - and if you are paying this much - im assuming you want a good atmos performance.

Good price. Their Sonos One SL is $40 cheaper than JB as well
