Engadget gave it a fairly lukewarm review, noting that the case was 'bulky', and is quick to pick up lint and dust, not to mention the pen is stored on the left side of the phone.
So it's an accessory for die-hard S-Pen and Galaxy Note series fans who happen to be left handed and if you're looking for one, here is the cheapest i could find.
Those who are completely turned off by the bad review of the case can also buy just the pen for $49.95 although keep in mind the phone itself doesn't have a way to store the pen and you might need to look at third party cases that accomodate it.
I have this and can confirm I am as you described as a Note series fan. The pen is slightly bigger than a typical Note sPen. The reviews are accurate, it does pick up dust annoyingly fast. But it is comfortable and feels soft. The bottom lip is a bit too soft (where the usb port is). Sadly, the options where to place the pen is limited given that all the buttons are on the right.
