    Manufacturer's Website:

Yeah right. Where is your factory then?
ABN is for sole trader "JOHN ANTHONY'S CARPENTRY & JOINERY".

Smells like an importer to me. Buys from Alibaba?

      Phoenix is an Australian brand:

      https://www.phoenixtapware.com.au/about

Every great company starts from humble beginnings. And ours is no different. The Phoenix story began in the 1980s in a small shed in Hastings, rural Victoria. Back then, the company was founded by Brian Wansborough, joined by two others, and a goat.

      and

Our Australian Design and R&D team have a collective 150 years’ experience in the industry

Now, where they manufacture their products I could not tell you. But that's still better than some of the competition I'm sure.

You could choose to be skeptical, and that's your right…but in this case I believe you are barking up the wrong tree.

Also - their ABN appears to be 007 215 876. Which seems to be registered to PHOENIX INDUSTRIES PTY. LTD.

    • Sorry, wrong ABN, I looked up both but pasted the retailer.

But I googled the the company and it looks like they do design, but not manufacture.
Who does manufacture in Australia anymore?

Phoenix does not claim to be a manufacturer. The post is inaccurate.

When it comes to tapware? Good question. There are a few apparently:

        https://www.theplumbette.com.au/plumbing/australian-made-tap…

There is Dorf and RAM that manufacture in Australia.

And of course there is Methven - a popular brand name when it comes to tapware that manufactures some of their products across the ditch in N.Z - and that's almost as good..

Can only say from experience. My mum's house had extensive renovation around 8 years ago and I put in a Dorf mixer tapware in the kitchen and a Mondella (bought from Bunnings) in her bathroom. The Dorf mixer tap failed just over 1 year and the Mondella is still going strong, I do not believe in these so called premium tapwares anymore as the trade guy who did the reno told me he had installed hundreds of the cheaper Mondella tapware and he hardly had any complaints from his customers. I specifically asked for the Dorf in the kitchens because of the amount of use in the kitchen and thinking it will make it last longer but my experience is the contrary.

Phoenix do not promote where there products are manufactured so one would guess that they are probably manufactured aboard. However they are still a credible Australian company so I am sure it is in their best interest to maintain a high standard for their products.

  • is this made from full stainless steel?
