        • I have $10k scheduled out of $20k. I can't seem to add any more than that.

If we attempt to create a new payment, I wonder if they count that as a payment towards the monthly limit, even though the payment isn't properly created, or something like that.

  • What is the next idea for this MS? Setting up on merchant is expensive and not worth the hassle.

Wish there is a dedicated thread on similar strategies

    • post oct 2023, unless you have scheduled the next 10 years in advance or the deal does not get extended (again), there probably won't be a way to use this to come out on top

  • Has anyone received their Citi payall $100 credit? If not does anyone knows how long it takes to appear on the account?

      • That will be an extremely targeted offer that only goes to card holders who are not using PayAll at all. I will not be expecting to see this offer.

      • Yeah that’s the one.

  • recently updated my bank and removed all my future payments, a few days later readded the payall payments until 2035.
15k credit limit, able to transfer 15k in a single payment once a month

    • Hmm weird i have already setup till 2033, saw your comment so i login to try setup one more period (2033 to 2035) …select recuuring, monthly, and weird at choose starting date i can go up to feb 2033 only. I have 15k limited as well

      • Yep start date Feb 2033 but can run it for 24 months to end in 2035. I assume a lot of us closer to October 2023 will cancel our furtherest-away payall and set up 2 new ones; to run from 'next available date based on individual' to August 2023, then another from September 2023 to aug 2035

        • +1

my problem is I have setup two of total 35k until Dec 2033.

If I cancel them now, I will only be able to setup one 15k pay all , since Jan 2031 .

Not worth it, even it can last to Dec 2035(confirmed yes) . Hoping they extend this offer

          • +1

@ggfatty: I'll be shocked if this deal is still alive in 2033.

            • +1

@capslock: Agreed. I would be surprised if Payall still exists in 10 years time!

              • @SydneySwan: I’d be surprise if it even last (for free) in 2 years time. But hey, set them just in case

            • +1

@capslock: I ONLY need this deal to extend to Jan 2024, in that case I can setup another 15k payall from Jan 2034 to Dec 2035

              :)

              • @ggfatty: do you know if citi can adjust expiry/end date on your behalf, in case it doesn't get extended?

            • +1

@capslock: I'll be pleasantly surprised if it runs fee free for another 2+years.

          • @ggfatty: good point!

        • ** Edit to my comment^^ August 2023 and Sep 2023 were meant to be "2033" **

        • Oh i see.. my existing is ends on August 2033. Hmm ok so need to cancel that, make it shorter then start the last one from feb 2033 to 2035.

          • @CyberMurning: i guess the current way the app works is it lets you schedule from "current date + 10 years" [no overlapping allowed from other payalls] for a period of 24 months into the future.

so currently in Feb 2023 I can schedule from Feb 2033 to Jan 2035, however before the fee comes into place on 1 Nov we should be able in Oct 2023, cancel/reschedule Payalls to end in Sep 2033 and set up a new Payall from Oct 2033 to Sep 2035 - just extending for as long as possible I guess

so in your case you could do a single Payall just in Sep 2033, then another Payall from Oct 2033 to Sep 2035, to fully maximise

            • @leeroys_dad: If I have a $6k limit. What is the max I can setup from late 2033 onwards? Is it only $6k per month now? Have ~$30k/mth until then setup a while back but wondering if it's worth extending but not if I need to increase limit as it makes churning for points harder.

              • @thestig: From 2033, only 6k. Not worth it if you've got it sorted mate

  • People adding from 2033 onward are individuals who added before the change? I jumped on last month so I assume I only have 9 months to go with $20k per month :(

    • Future date it man, just do'nt overlap existing payalls

  • I’m very late to the party but just getting my head around this Citi Payall 20k cap. Is there no way around it?

    • anything existing prior to rule coming in earns above, anything else has the cap (or credit limit, whichever is lower) - AFAIK

      • How would I know if I have the cap limit?

        • i think it was 1 nov 2022 it came into play, or something like that. anything set up after that date has the cap

    • +1

No. What's not clear here? There is a 20K ultimate cap per month. The end. If there was a way around it, don't you think this thread would be filled with people talking about their $500,000 PayAll payments they scheduled in one month constantly recycling the same money around and around?

      • Maybe a dumb question but if you have an additional cardholder, does that card share the 20k cap with the primary card?

  • I saw some people managed to schedule their payments past 2024. Can you share how you did that (I believe mine doesn't let me get past middle 2024 from memory). Also, do we have confirmation existing Payall payments setup before Oct 2023, will stay at at 0% past Oct 2023? I'm getting very good value out of the $20k for both me and partner.

    • when you set it up, select recurring and then set your start date in the future, scroll down the screen (not obvious that you can) and set hte end date 24 months later

  • @Legoman do I have this right? new to the party and thank you in advance for your support

Payall now has a 20k limit P/M and note that they only allow 95% of limit to be transferred

Call Citibank and have the billing cycle period changed to the 16th

Next (if your limit is 20k), you should set up future dated PayAll payments for 19K @ ideally the first week of the month but at least after the 3rd of the new month and if possible a Monday or Tuesday to allow the 3 business days citibank debit beforehand? So for this example being FEB, the 6th of March Monday? The repayment of this debt would then need to occur by at least the 28th March? To ensure the credit is there for the 4th of April Transfer?

Do I have the hang of it there?

I am instead considering 2 x 10k transactions though to ensure 10k is always on the card for payall transactions. If this was the case the 2nd transfer would just occur 4 days after the first?

    TIPS

Ideally transfer into partners named account if possible?

Name the transactions things like, school fee’s, charity, renos etc?

  • Another late one to the party, have an issue that I couldn't see raised previously.

When I try to set a regular payment the next arrow to continue is greyed out. Single payment processes fine. What am I doing wrong?

  • Need some quick help
Signed up to Citi prestige - for the 300k bonus point
Re CitiPayall - my Citi statement date is 17th of month, due 6th. Have already set up direct debit

Want to transfer circa $13k/month to an ANZ bank account . I have another ANZ cc I use for most my expenses

What’s the best set up to maximise Payall as I’m reading the last 15 pages slightly lost ?

    • Set up $13k Payall on 13th monthly for 24 months, then another the month after the first ended, same dates. Repeat for 10 years. Pay off $13k when you pay your statement eg 1st every month

It doesn't have to be precise mate, I am just happy with the bonus points and a few days every month of 15k in a high interest savings account. Could be more but have other priorities

    • How did you access payall without receiving your credit card yet ?

  • Thanks Leeroy
So set up a recurring payment from ANZ back to Citi around 1st of the month - should do the trick

Just don’t want to get stung with any interest/ late payment fees

    • +3

Keep it simple mate, just to a savings account is the easiest, what you do from there is up to you

    • -1

      sure not $6M ? or 6m points

  • Has anyone tried to increase their credit limit? Is there a limit in terms of how much of the credit amount can be sent via CITI payall?

    • You can increase no more than half of your current limit, I have a 15k limit card and increased it to 22.5k to take advantage of this offer and I can utilize the full limit for Payall.

      • Even if you call to increase the limit?

        • +1

How to increase your credit limit?
If you would like to request a new credit limit1:

1.Download or update to the latest Citi Mobile® App
2.Simply log in to the Citi Mobile® App, select your account, tap on ‘Manage’ > ‘Manage credit limit’ and follow the steps
3.Note that the requested new credit limit cannot be more than 50% of your existing credit limit or AUD $10,000 (whichever is less).

          • +1

@szy2k: Asking for increased limit is a new credit check?

            • @Ehty: Unfortunately yes.

          • @szy2k: Damn so max increase was 10k. Yeah i applied with the lowest credit limit (20k) as i just wanted the card and rather get the card on a lower credit limit than the possibility of being rejected and not being able to get the card at all.

            • @Mr Joker: That'll still do as my understanding is that the monthly payall points you earn are capped at 30k.

              • @szy2k: Oh that's fine. I'm more keen for the risk free return you can obtain by putting it into a saving account

              • @szy2k: The payall cap is 20k now as of Nov 22

                • @hanofee: Thanks for the correction, yes T&C states a 20k cap now. I'm not sure if it is because I set it up before they amended the T&C, I still get full points of the 22.5k limit I had.

                  • @szy2k: Yes, if u already set it up before the rules changed, the older rule applied

      • U can go full limit in one go now. Just recommended to a friend with 20k limit, he can set monthly with 20k too. So probably not much use going over 20k now

  • Wow I am late to this party. I've cycled through 4 citibank cards since this was a thing (which I had no idea about).

I have a citibank platinum card, that I was about to close. Annoyingly though, I opted for a $4k limit. I'm weighing up my options.

Anything to stop me from transferring $20k at the start of the month and doing 5 x $4k payalls in the first say 10 days of the month?

    • Yes below T&C will stop you from what you are planning to do, unfortunately.

From 17 October 2021 a new monthly limit will apply whereby the aggregate sum of Citi PayAll payments within the calendar month must not exceed your credit limit or $35,000 (whichever is lesser). For example, if your credit limit is $5,000, your total Citi PayAll payments within a month must not exceed $5,000, regardless of payments made on your account.

From 1 November 2022, points will be capped at $20k per month or the lower of your credit card limit.

      • Ahhh, ok, bugger.

Oh well, back to the ol' churny churn.

      • U still can set above the limit though, even until now. My limit is 15k, but I can still set 2x 10k monthly in 2033. Whether it will actually work by then, nobody knows :). Cannot set more than 20k/month anymore

        • I have 6K credit limit and I have set 4 x 5K , lets see if it works,

        • How did you setup more than 24 months? I cant set beyond 2025.

          • +1

@timhn: Schedule a new payall and start it in 2025 to 2027

      • with the $20k cap is that for 1 card? so If I get 2 card (one with Citi rewards and one with qf points) I can do the $20k with both cards?

        • +1

20K combined across all the cards.

    • Read the thread mate. It is too good to be true

  • Can I have two cards with $20K limit and PayAll $20K per month from each card? Will the app prevent me from setting up the second payall or will it go through and not earn points on the second PayAll?

    • Yes it won't let you at all, the limit is shared across all your cards.

  • And for those who setup payments exceeding the current $20K limit before 1 November, are those still functional? @Legoman

    • +3

Yep. Doing 35K/month on a 6k limit card Since May’21.

      • Touche

        • +3

That is not how you use touche lol

      • Is that multiple payments in and out or a single $35K transaction?

        • +1

Multiple as each transaction can’t be more than 95% of the cc limit.

          • @maverick1: Are you paying back as soon as you payall to your account so you have enough for the next scheduled payall?

            • @CodeXD: Yep, my payall debits are usually setup with a gap of 2-3 days so I make sure the card is funded atleast one day before the debit.

I usually have couple of months of bpay to my cc scheduled in advance.

              • @maverick1: Thanks Maverick - so essentially u transfer $5k to a BSB and then pay it off -2/3 days later.

Is it set up as a once off or reoccurring ? Also has Citi ever questioned- I’m assuming your transferring to a non Citi bank account

                • @mal_aker: recurring. Citi did call me back at the start in 2021. It goes to a non citi bank.

  • +2

Do we expect this deal to extend by another year? It feels like this deal with meant to expiry from October 2022 right?

  • Someone mentioned calling Citi to have the billing cycle moved to the 16th of the month. Can someone explain why this is necessary? Is it just to give ample time on either end to make payments and return the money to the card?

    • There is no need to do that, the reason raised by OP is not correct. To answer to the issue he raised your CitiPayAll request should be setup on 15th of the month and best to setup on a Wednesday.

        • Your statement date is irrelevant since you are paying back once a month for the next CitiPayAll. 15th is the catch-all date for any statement date.

      • False. The reason for suggesting resetting your statement date to around the middle of a month is to make sure critical dates like your statement date and the repayment date are well away from the change of month regardless of how many days are in that month. This is to establish rules that do not change from month to month for ease of planing and calculations. Citibank cards are 55 day credit cards. If you set your statement date to around the 16th, then your repayment date will always be around 5 days before that on the subsequent month ~11th. Both these numbers are in no danger of ever falling across a month change. The day of the week has no relevence whatsoever since the day of the week changes every month and is not repeatable from month to month.

  • If i want to apply for a Citi cc with a limit of $20k, what's the minimum annual salary around?

    • Apparently no minimum

  • New to the PayAll from Citi. Just received the new Prestige card. I read that I can use PayAll to fulfil the $10,000 spending to get the 300,000 points. As the annual fee will increase to $700 after one year (I do not want to cancel this card early as I would like to make use of the unlimited Prioryy Pass lounge entries), I will setup the monthly $20,000 recurring PayAll payments to my other bank account for the coming 12 months in order to earn the maximum points for the card. As I also have the fee free for life Premier Mastercard, I should set up recurring PayAll payments 2-year at a time till 2032 on this card before the end of Oct 23 deadline? In this way, I could then cancel the Prestige card next Feb 24 and can still get points from PayAll for the coming 10 years on my fee free for life Premier Mastercard? Thanks.

    • -1

You have both? Also unlikely the Payall will count towards a spend requirement. I've had my Payall's for a long time, and Citibank sent me a letter saying they noticed there has been no activity on my card in recent months and will close it if not used.

      • Actually PayAll does count towards the minimum spend requirement, I used it for the Prestige card just last month and got the bonus points.

        • Interesting….cheers..

    • +1

If you have the Premier M/card free for life then you already have two free Priority Club check-ins per annum. Why pay $700/annum to get unlimited? If you’re flying that much you should be a Qantas Club or KrisFlyer member with lounge access

  • How to check the point activity for citi? Is there a portal where I can see list of transactions and corresponding points earned? TIA

  • Hey just two questions!
    1. When people scheduled payments how long did it take for you to receive the payment in your bank account?
    2. How did you peeps schedule payments beyond 2 years?

    • +2
      1. A few days, is pretty slow
      2. Create a new one, select recurring, and pick your start date 2 years into future. Scroll down page to select 2 years duration. Repeat
  • Hi, pretty late to the party here. I just got my Prestige card with a limit of 30k. I've been using it for a couple of days. Now, I tried to set up PayAll but it doesn't let me to create beyond 2027.
I successfully created 2 of 24-month - 20k monthly entries but it won't let me create more entries from 2027. I've tried different categories but it kept saying my limit has reached.
    How did others overcome this?

    • Didn't receive the error, but try 2028 and see what happens

    • I believe there's a hidden limit to how many you can set up in a day. Try again in 24-48 hours
