Officeworks should price beat with 5% = $93.1

    • +1

$99 at Officeworks (pre-PB), JB Hifi, Shopping Express, Umart, and maybe more. Amazon algorithm hasn't detected to beat it yet (no AU stock so they may not drop it). If TGG matched it, Shopback $5 bonus promo today with 4% cashback may make it cheapest out there (not quite $89 Mwave price). Nothing near price on ebay so that $5 promo doesn't help. Well done spotting the price drop thanks OP

  • Would it be really worth of forking out $99 for office jobs? it's a serious question..

I have the mx anywhere 2 that i bought for $50ish last year and its been fantastic, especially the connected device quick switch feature, Allows almost instant switching between my work laptop and home laptop. the battery is very good as well. lasts me about 3 weeks before needing recharge and recharge is very quick. my only draw back is that im restricted from installing the Logitech app on the work laptop so i cant access the custom buttons setup, though the 'default' profile works fine anyway

I'd imagine the mx a 3 would be better, but im not sure if its $50ish better than what i paid for the mx a 2. hope this helps

      • Thanks. I think I will still stick to $10 Logitech basic wireless mouse.

        • +1

If you can get your hands on an MX anywhere 2 for 50ish, id highly recommend it

    • I bought my own keyboard and mouse for work and take them with me when i leave.

reassigning the buttons/functions on the mouse is pretty handy for work.

I use a logitech MX master which is on its last legs and have the anywhere 2 at home - both are very nice.

    • People spend thousands of dollars on monitors and office chairs, and hundreds of dollars on keyboards and mice. These are things you may use every day for many hours a day. Whether it is worth spending money on these things is completely up to you, but yes, clearly it is worth it to some people.

If you are happy with your $100 officeworks chair and $10 mouse and keyboard, then absolutely no reason you need to spend anything more! But if you want something better, then yes, then it definitely can be worth spending many many times that!

If you aren't allowed to install Logitech Options on your work computer/laptop, it really diminishes the usefulness of this mouse. And that's only exacerbated by this range not having on-board memory.

  • If you are buying today, then SE has a 10% off promo for 24 hours that started at midday. Up to 10 items on the invoice

    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/assets/marketing/12181.pn…

I've never had a problem with SE in the past, ever; but I wonder about this deal, is it too good to be true?

btw I much prefer the older version, on clearance at Centrecom if you can find one at $69, you might get an OW 5% off

    • 2s is great mouse. Only took me a year of whinging it didn't have a "middle" scroll wheel down button to see on ozbargain it was moved to the little button behind the scroll wheel. I was so used to that changing movement speed I never looked.

    • Currently using the 2s and considering the upgrade, mainly for usb-c charging and newer device but am still happy with the 2s. What do you find preferable compared to the new one? Is it a pointless upgrade?

      • +1

It may not be a pointless upgrade, but the button arrangement doesn't suit me; the only problem I have with the 2S is that cleaning under the scroll wheel can be difficult. One day, the battery will give out, but I have spares now ;-)

Price on the clearance model, the 2S version, makes spares nice and cheap; no "upgrade" needed. Not concerned about micro-USB charging, there is no shortage of that type of cable for me.

  • I am using this mouse atm on my laptop, nice mouse but very small, the m585 is not as fancy but a better size.

    • Sizes listed:
      MXA3 100x65x34mm
      M585: 103x64x40mm

They are almost the same except for the height - I suppose it affects the fell in the hand.

Both smaller than my Logitech Triathlon
      M720: 115x74x45mm

    • Too big or small is as much a function of grip as hand size. I like this mouse's size and I've got big hands. I just use a finger grip, no palm, and can lazily move the mouse up/down and side/side without having to lift my wrist off the mat. My wife's using my g900 to shoot excel spreadsheet cells.

Looks like they removed the left-right scroll wheel tilt from this model. That's a downgrade for me.

    • +1

You can still scroll sideways by holding down a side button while turning the scroll wheel.
