Great price for the Shields. Looks like shipping is $10.75 to NSW and VIC.

    • Bought the shield pro from TGG on eBay and paid more than SE but forgot to add shipping. You helped alleviate but 1st world credit furled problem. Thank you.

      • Still a bargain. They were $400+ this time last year.

The price of the Gigabyte 34" monitor was increased to make the current discounted price the same as their regular sale price of $620. Great for those who are looking to buy it at this price, but I was looking forward to a $590 price from their regular $650 price.

    • send a report to ACCC

  • Shield pro or Xbox series S. People are selling xbox series S here at around the same price. Which one would you go for?

    • Holy shit, you can find series S for 270? You sure that's not an one S? If it is a series s, get that, I promise you that you can flog it on ebay for another 100 bucks or even more. I got mine for 380 happily.

As for which one to keep, I'll personally just get the series s. Portability is super nice, I agree, but it's too big for my liking, the switch is more my size.

      • One guy sold it for 220 the other week. :D

        • I would flip them. I've seen them go for 450 in less than a week.

@Wonderfool: I didn't think of that. I thought somebody else could have that :D

@peekabooo: You're too nice haha. Take the series s as your prize for being a nice guy lol

Just got a reply from them and they are not part of the promo sadly

  • I'm not getting 269 for the shield pro plus 11 shipping to vic

  • Ryzen 5800X is $679… 10% off would mean $611.10… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • I'm tempted by the Ryzen 5 3600 bundle, was going to wait until the 15th to see what happens with the new Intel but might not bother now.

  • Good to see shields are back down to normal prices.

    • Yeah, a year back I told myself I'd wait until they hit $250ish and just cope with my 2015 til then… this is the first time I've been tempted to go early..

  • Not a gamer here.

Is this NUC + 2 of this RAM + this NVME a good fast combo for running Lightroom swiftly for under $1000?

I already have keyboard, mouse and monitor.

    • I purchased the NUC with 8259u. Save you ~$250 with similar performance. However, the 8259u model comes with 802.11ac compared to ax on 11th NUC.

      • Thanks mate. Do you mean the performance will be similar for lightroom?

  • i5-10400F + Crucial P2 2TB + HyperX Fury 32GB RGB + MSI MPG 460I = $853.13 delivered

    Is this a good deal?

    • Do you need 2tb?

  • World's slowest shipping, you basically need to message them to get them to send it. Took two weeks to get a Micro-SD card.

If you live in Sydney it can sometimes be next day shipping if ordered in the morning :)… had that happens many times now in the last few years.

are you mixing these guys up with Shoppingsquare?

      • Possibly :-D

If I am, these places need clearly different names :-D

How hard is it for you to check your invoice to see who you ordered it from to confirm if you were right to criticise them, or have slandered them unfairly?

thanks but Some prices have been jacked up, was about to buy a lenovo dock at $209 now its changed to $279m, just yesterday. It will interesting to see after this sale what the price will be.

  • Just did some research on the zenbook. This model doesn't come with a headphone jack, they do include a usb - c to 3.5mm dongle in the box. So still pretty decent value.

  • That's a really neat price for the Shield Pro.

  • Thank you, ordered a Corsair RM 850x, $190.6 Deliveried.it's not the cheapest ever, but acceptable.

  • Finally got Synology DS920+ ($742.50) and a couple Red Plus drives. Thanks OP.
Looking forward to dokerize pihole, unifi controller and few other things I have running on old raspberries.

    • Whats the advantage of using DS920 over assembling a decent computer (Other than a slightly larger cabinet)?

      • +1

I ran my Media Server for 8 years on a "decent computer". Started with Windows, soon after became Linux. There's nothing wrong with this approach, in particular you'll end up with a more powerful processor. Thing is you don't need a powerful processor for this task. With a NAS generally, Synology specifically - it's the applications that make it. You've got a standard platform with simple application deployment, which means that has been tested well, and a community that understands exactly how your hardware is setup. So my 8 year old box doing a few tasks with reasonable reliability got replaced by a NAS that is smaller, quieter, lower power, runs better and runs about 2 dozen applications without breaking a sweat and dead simple maintenance. I'm about to hot swap out the first of the original drives to start growing the array. Again dead easy with Synology, significantly harder with a Linux command line.

        • Ah OK, got it! Thanks mate :)
