Kontiki commented on Kindle 11th Generation 2024 $167 (Paperwhite $239, Paperwhite Signature $259) + Del ($0 to Metro/ C&C/ in-Store) @ Officeworks
Good to see that the standard Kindle now has 300ppi as well. It used to be only 150ppi and you needed a Paperwhite for 300ppi resolution.
Kontiki commented on Apple Mac Mini M4 from $815.10 Delivered @ Apple On Campus (e.g. Australian Education Union)
As always, idiotic price intervals between disc space options. 256GB extra? That will be $300 Sir! Of course this will be super special…

Shame that Dolby has sold out their brand. It used to mean something when tech was labeled ‘Dolby Surround’ or ‘Dolby Digital’.…
Kontiki replied to jessyc on ZSUS 14" 2160x1440 IPS Portable Monitor US$50.70 (~A$76.53) Delivered @ Cutesliving Store AliExpress

Kontiki commented on [Pre Order] Panasonic LUMIX S9 6K Compact Full Frame Camera Bonus 26mm Lens & 5-Year Warranty $2499 Delivered @ JB Hi-Fi
The price is just too close to the S5 II, IMO. An F/8, manual lens is also not very enticing.
Kontiki replied to garage sale on Tesla Model 3 LR $72,700 Delivered (Was $73,700) + On-Road Cost @ Tesla
Not even remotely the same experience as CarPlay/Android Auto. There is more than audio.
Kontiki replied to itslittfam on Apple MacBook Pro M2 Max 2023, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Silver or Space Gray, 16" or 14" $4497 Each Metro Delivered/ C&C @ Officeworks
Video editing. Having said that, I spent $1000 on my PC 4 years ago and that is still doing a fine job with Photoshop, 4K editing and games.
The squares are fun, and pretty decent quality. We have a Zink printer as well, but sink’s print quality is much poorer.
Kontiki commented on [SUBS] The Creator - Added to Disney+
Trailer looked amazing but reviews are poor. Will still watch it considering they shot this with a relatively simple camera, inspiring.

‘Max speed’ doesn’t mean anything, we’d need to see numbers to compare.
Kontiki replied to crazyperpman on Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch Gunmetal Stainless Steel $158.70 Delivered @ Fossil.com
I had a Gen 4 watch and was surprised by the solid build quality. It was very slow though. I heard Gen 5 and 6 are faster.

Kontiki replied to rollin on Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen 4GB/128GB $235.30 (with eBay Plus $222.23) Delivered @ Allphones Online eBay
It will handle it but I wouldn’t use this tab for professional use. Lag & business don’t go well together.

Darn, I just got the Mediatek version a few weeks ago for similar price… would have much preferred a snapdragon.

I had a similar experience in Milan Malpenza Airport. The 'queue' was a room full of people all trying to push in front of each other.
