I'll be honest, when I started reading $8 off Asian for 8 Hours from 8am I wasn't thinking about food.

    • ^ This

    • $8 off Asian for 8 Hours

It piqued my interest too. Maybe the noun "food" could be inserted to avoid confusion!

      • Even with food included still confusing.

    • $8 off sydney Asian brothers are the thing during COVID mate, you need COVID max

      • +1

Do they have to be brothers for you, or can they just pretend?

  • Does Menulog have a referral program? or is it banned on OZB? can't see any referral links

    • There's no referral program.

    • for good reason, they would have to reward so many of you peps if they did, so they just make sure that no one gets rewarded.

  • +4

Stacks with the CommBank offer :D

    • Thanks. Added to OP :)

    • Would my minimum spend need to be $28 for the comm bank rewards offer? Or still $20?

      • +1

        $28.

Commbank only sees the final charge, the final charge needs to be at least $20.

        • Thought as much, thanks!

    No Indian :-(

    • -1

      That's South Asian!

      • its funny that in the UK when you say asian person, they think you are talking about indian/srilankan/pakistan

in australia when you say asian, people think of chinese, japanese, korean, thai, vietnamese, cambodian and no one thinks indian

        • Yeah….I never figured out why that is. I originally thought it might have had something to do with the long cricketing heritage of those three nations (which made us more familiar with them) but if that were the case, the same would be true for the UK!

          • +2

@ash2000: In UK Indians were the first people from the Asia to arrive in no.s or to have a large community i guess, Curry is considered a national dish in England. While in Australia It was the Chinese who were the first to come in large no.s from Asia.

    • +7

To be fair, while Indian is Asian, they do not celebrate Lunar NY.

      • -3

East Indian states have people that look Asian
Not only Indian, Lebanese and Turkish missed out too lol,

        Great deal btw, thanks TA

    • -1

      No Swedish either

  • can you place an order for dinner within the time frame or does it need to be delivered within the time frame? cos 4 pm is obviously an early cut off time

  • Does Sushi celebrate Lunar New Year?

    • They spawn by the full moon.

    • They don't. Although according to history, they used to do so, until they stopped around 1800s. Kimochi des…

  • I guess can’t stack with Noodle Box ‘15% off when you spend $30’ ?

    • That's restaurant offer. It's stackable and will be tracked.

  • +4

    Should have been 88 hours

  • 8am…AM…. EIGHT AYYY EMM… My leftover chinese from the previous night is possibly still warm by then

  • -1

Australia is part of Asia …so includes roo burgers and prime beef?

    • Australia is part of Asia

      No it isn’t

      • +2

While I wouldn't recommend Wikipedia as a source of any defence..Asia Pacific then.. just want a burger..get on board ;)

      • -2

Yikes, why would you use wikipedia as a reference/source for anything?

  • +7

I honestly hate this company, they're incredibly slow and never keep you updated with order status. Delivery takes 60min for me, lunch or dinner.

  • -8

Only reason for neg is the below. Used to purchase alot with Menulog. although recently i've had a nightmare with orders not arriving or being late/cold with Menulog..even at the neighbours house multiple times (I write clear instructions and leave the light on)

    http://imgur.com/gallery/BcomAN4

Supposedly you can reach a maximum of order issues before they flat out decline your offer issues, I haven't done it a stupid number of times?!?… as attached in the above screenshot..They've basically said I've had too many issues in the past and they won't refund me for an order that arrived stone cold. Bloody frustrating and will avoid. Hope no-one else faces this.

    • +3

Yes agree I recently got the same response in the last month so I stopped using them

      • +2

I was honestly surprised to get that as I've spent a boat load with them through covid. Been honest the whole way through which is the bitterly disappointing thing about it. Don't neg often I just hope there's someone that I can help so they don't think it's just them that had received the same email. I'm thankful you confirmed that for me :)

    • +3

how many issues have you previously had? That email makes it sounds like they think you're trying to scam the system. What a poor customer service experience

      • That's what I found shocking, I genuinely could have exploited the Menulog system and haven't. The way that email is phrased was downright offensive. I have issues every 4-6 orders on average. Spending $50 a pop and sometimes haven't even bothered to complain.

  • Why cant they include pickup orders? Only restaurant that delivers themself is dominos in my area.

  • Most Asian joints don't open till after the 8 hours

    • +9

Menulog has a wonderful feature called preorder.

      • I find a lot of restaurants either dont support the preorder system or they end up cancelling it once they do open at which point you cant use the discount code again as its after 4pm.

  • Doesn't show up as yet for me.

  • Thanks. Made a pre-order for dinner tonight, and also stacked it with CommBank offer.

  • +1

I just keep getting "Voucher is not valid for this restaurant". Tried 4-5 Asian Restaurants.

    • +2

Need to make sure they are 'Delivered by Restaurant'
Not many options in my area with that restriction

      • Finally Worked. Ta

        • But is there a way to sort with that option, have been trying to figure it out on the app and web and cant find a simple method of sorting

          • @lonewolf: I found it easiest from the browser-

Type in your address, and then filter by the following cuisines: Asian, Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Singaporean, Sushi, Thai, Taiwanese or Vietnamese (Yes, it is really annoying that each click will reload the page with new selection, no other way around it)

do a ctrl+f and search for 'delivered by restaurant'

            From mobile app-

Tap the burger icon (3 horizontal lines) on the top left of the app, then go to 'For you'

There should be a promotion for this - Click Copy code then order now

Additional filter by 'delivered by restaurant'

When I attempted to do it from app, it only showed restaurants for my previous address suburb, and I couldnt find a way to change it. I ordered from browser.

Dont forget to use the voucher code!!

            • @CodeXD: yeah i ended up doing the first option via browser. but sadly not many places are delivered by restaurant. Plus with minimum spend and delivery charges..it starts to not be as worth it for only $8 off.

            • @CodeXD: And even when you find those "delivered by restaurant" entries, it may not be valid.

    • +1

only 2 restaurants available in Melbourne CBD and with $7 delivery fee, this promotion is just a waste of time.

  • Its not playing nice with all Asian Restaurants. Only found 1 that works out of 10

    • +3

Offer will be delivered via the 'For You' section at 8am on 12/02/21 and is only valid with orders valued $25 or more at 'Delivered by Restaurant' venues

I had 8 restaurants out of like 60 lol

      • Yeah, that's the part that kills it for the places I like :(

  • Much appreciate your offer Menulog. However authentic Asians wouldn't order take-away for New Year as home cook is best!

  • +1

my order got declined and they took my money……

  • Discount doesn't show up in for you
