  I have taken up this deal from the earlier deal direct from Amex, have met the spend criteria and now am ready for wifey to apply as well.
  Do people think $200 cashback is better than getting 40,000 Qantas points for getting a referral? Tossing up between the two.

    I would go for the 40,000 QFF points since they are technically worth more at ~$400 face value (More if redeemed for flights). Even if you just used the points to purchase gift cards they would be worth the same-ish at ~$200 anyway.

    On this, is the 40k points only for the same style card? If so what was the total points for the new card? My wife got the lower end card and I was planning to use her referral and go to the better card but I don't see a referral bonus.

      It's for referring the same Ultimate card. The referrer gets 40k points and the referee gets the same deal as in this post (100k points) except for the $200 cashback.

    Javery, if you are seeking peace of mind, the best thing to do would be to contact Amex and they should be able to see the offer you applied for. You could also take screenshots of this deal for reference, in the unlikely situation you run into any issues down the track. Hope you enjoy the card!

  anyone having issue with Qantas wine voucher ? Amex said they sent me the voucher on 7 January, but i know i get nothing. Now , they just sent me voucher code when tchating with support but the code is expired…

    They emailed me the membership voucher a few days after I got the approval email. I haven't tried it yet though.

    Hi, the original deal stated that bonus points and the credit would be applied within 8-10 weeks of the minimum spend being met. It could be sooner, but this is the official advice from Amex.

      I was initially goign to give the credit to family as I thought t was flights only, but realised hotels as well, which is awesome.

  I've received the points following meeting the minimum spend, but it's only visible on my Amex app under "ultimate card". I checked my QFF account and it's not there. Is this right or did I mess up somewhere? I had an existing QFF account that I entered the membership number when I signed up for the card.
