    Better jump in the car…

  • Thanks George.

  • is chutney like jam?

    • -2

      why??

    • +2

Jam is fruit + sugar, and used with sweet dishes. eg pancakes, scones

Chutney is chunky fruit/vegetable + sugar + vinegar + salt + spices, and used with savoury dishes. eg curries

Many people would spread a little chutney on a ham sandwich, but almost no one would add jam.

    • Its an Indian or British Indian condiment. I get it at the Indian grocer, though in Australian supermarkets you can find the Palms brand.

    • Yes. Cannot be used as a spread. But, used as a base for dishes. Just like you would thai chilli jam

  • South African stuff seemed fresher when Aldi sold them. Better than any other company imo. Chutney gets used up quickly…

  • +2

    Best chutney hands down

  • My fav…dankie George!

  • Eaten with your Boerewors… although also good with Pork
