RRP is always higher on these than I can think to value them at, but these are pretty good units. Getting a couple for the back of the bus.

What no parking lines also has it got Night vision ?

    • +1

Yes it has night vision. As for the guidance lines if you pair it with a device that has them inbuilt your all set!

$15 camera from ebay will do same job.

I suspect this is true. Longevity might be an issue though, unless you have one you can recommend?

Basically any of them. I grabbed one about 5 years ago off eBay (don’t have a specific link but it’s one of the long numberplate ones) and it has static reverse lines and was about $10 delivered.

This is a rip off with an insanely excessive RRP.

      Hahahaha, please!

    • I have one of the eBay ones and the field of view is shockingly bad in comparison to the Rcam. Looks very zoomed in.

    • Why stop there?

A $5 camera from Aliexpress (where the eBay sellers source their cameras from) will do the same job.

    • The one I got off eBay had dodgy static lines, which are useless when the precise installation location is going to vary across different cars. It started failing within a year so I replaced it with the pioneer cam for about $50, and it’s much better quality. It’s better than most OEM cameras that I’ve seen too.

  • Regular price on eBay seems to be about $75

I join the scepticism as no real specs shared for something that is meant to be 100+ No branding, nothing. I suspect it is a generic piece set up to work with pioneer but not any better.

It's branded Pioneer I think you will find.

      • 1/4″ Color CMOS sensor
      • Compact Design
      • IP67 Certified
      • Wide Angle Lens
      • No Parking Lines displayed

      The Pioneer RCAMAVIC also supports a 1/4″ Color CMOS sensor and Wide angle view (D: 170°/ H: 120° / V: 100°).

      From what I can find, 672H x 520V

      • I appreciate you have to research the product as opposed to having any official documentation. You would think they would state the resolution it can output or any other video signal details…
