Depending on what you need them for you may be better off buying 4x Eneloop's for that much, you'll get 1000 uses instead of 10, and there'll be no waste at the end of the day.

However for remotes / calculators / fire alarms you may find alkaline more suitable.

  • energerizer max 16 pack was $9 a week or two ago at coles

  • COTD currently have a $10 shipping cap so if you want the AA & AAA it helps a bit

  • Not hard to find better deals on ebay if you aren't in a hurry:

  • Easier to pop into Dick Smith when you need batteries! I think their AA batteries 40 per pack are surprisingly good quality.

I find that the $8 - 30 pack of AA / AAA from Bunnings (Varta) works a treat

  • I've been buying batteries off element14 lately, as I've found them to be quite cheap & they have next day delivery (free - some conditions but I find orders over $10 ok.). Expiry of all the ones I've received is 2017.
