Not a reliable seller. They list the items but actually do not have those in stock. Once you order, they take ages to ship or will cancel the order and take 8-10 days to process the refund. Thats as per my previous experience with them. Others may differ.

Can confirm from personal experience. Back in the days wanted to get away with selling me a used Canon 5d mII (50k shutter clicks and beat up body) advertised as new. Lucky I had video recordings from the moment of delivery and unboxing and had to threaten them with police. Horrible company.

    • thanks for this. I was considering it

    • Same, wish I had known earlier. Ordered an iPhone on black friday just receive an email today stating they don't have the product in stock and that I could cancel the order for a refund. Looked up online to find they have coped some warning from the Commerce Commission earlier this year. Pathetic customer service! Stay away

Becextech used to provide customer support on the Forums https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/257136 but they've stopped doing so as of 2018. Not sure if their internal policy has changed.

  • FWIW - ordered from this seller when the phone first came out. Had zero issues with the seller, the process nor the shipping. The model I received was the IN2020 (china) model with Global (NA) ROM flashed over it - no issues with the phone itself either.

If you look at product review site, there's tonnes of positive feedback because they give a monetary credit/refund back to you in return for the positive review.

My experience might not be everyone's experience but above is a true and accurate representation of the transaction.

PSA - On a different tangent - if you want the phone, just be sure you don't want or need VoWifi/5G/VoLte functionality out of the box… Since the Android 11 rollout, we (in Australia) cannot seem to get these functions working without rooting the phone.

    • so the 5G does nto work if you don't root it?

  • Amazon UK via AU often has the IN2023 8gb/128gb version for ~1096 AUD (what I paid for mine). This is the version you want for Australia as it supports the common 4g/5g bands we use (from my research, please do your own).

You can't tell me what to do.

  • Yes, IN2023 (UK/EU) model is fully compatible with 4G and 5G bands in Aus.
