Been looking to grab one of these for a while and noticed the higher-spec screens are available again. I've got the old model (Gen1) and it's been absolutely bulletproof but it seems like a good time for an upgrade.

Note: Includes 2 year on-site warranty upgrade and keep your drive option.

Final price I paid was $2669.50 - I was originally quoted $3124.73 but was offered a further $455.23 off by talking to the consultant in chat and asking for a discount. Obviously, if you aren't after the warranty options you could shave off another $150 or so.

  • $750 really worth the performance difference for the CPU?

Wow! This is what I wish (8C) for Christmas haha! Too bad I can’t get this approved by the finance department (missus) as I already got the gen 2 last year. I wish I can still resell mine at a decent price. :(

  • Good deal. I paid $3055.20 for this (i7-10750H, 2x16GB RAM, same screen, 512GB SSD) in August when it first came out. Talked to the sales rep as well to knock the price down from $4599.

The i7 has been enough for me. The 32GB of RAM definitely comes in handy as a developer machine running VMs and docker containers.

It's been a really good machine so far

    5.3ghz……only on paper.

Talked to the sales rep? Why have I never heard of this money saving tool for Lenovo? Game changer! It's better than the laptop itself.

Tell me about it, I just jumped on there and scored myself a great deal.

I just went with X1 Carbon Gen 8 (not Extreme).

Totally wasn't expecting to buy a laptop but there you go.

      • Did the sales rep give you a discount? And what was it?

        • +1

Have sent you a PM :)

          • @Moo Deng: Can you please teach me how to talk to the sales rep too?

            • +1

@vivic: Tried to PM you but I think you have it switched off
