I'm hunting for a MB for my first build and saw this one. Looks to be a new version of the Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC.

One benefit is this one has wi-fi.
Wanted to grab this but I heard the USB 2 issue on the AORUS pro series is still not fixed
Exactly. Do not buy b550 aorus.
It's the perfect board for me except it doesn't fricking work.
Not to mention XMP causing random shutdown on all b550 gigabyte boards!!!
AVOID!

I bought one the other day for a new Ryzen 5600. Not notcied any issues with it but I did have to put it to the latest BIOS to use the CPU. Maybe the BIOS is the fix.
What USB 2 issue? I have AORUS pro ATX and works fine but I haven't used much USB

Seems to be widespread but not everyone is hit
Strange. Looks like they have deployed a BIOS update but I haven't encountered this at all. But not a good look for gigabyte when one of the main points of the mobo is how many USB ports it has..
Bought for $249 click & collect from Umart a few days ago.
PRO AX? or AC? or ELITE AX? I couldnt find it on their website
oh man. I was looking for this mb. you should of posted it on ozbargain seems like a great deal
This was $199 two weeks ago at shopping express. Id wait.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/580589That one is the Elite, this is the Pro
Thanks, I stand corrected.
Been tossing between this or ASUS ROG Strix B550-F?
depends on if you want to play around in the bios. I personally do not like Gigabyte's bios, they are just too odd and they lock some options in their lower tier MB. If you are not up to OC or anything, just pick the cheaper one, they all function pretty much the same.
Planning on the 5900x would like to do easy OCing
Get the Strix one IMO, always a pain to oc the memory or the relevant voltage setting using Gigabyte mb
Is this better than the MSI Tomahawk?
Tomahawk would be $239 (+ shipping) later this afternoon
